A circular boundary can be created in just 1-2 hours and can cover up to a 1/3 Acre yard from the placement of the indoor transmitter. There is no wire toBURY. A wireless boundary allows you to protect your pets without building a physical fence. There are 5 levels of correction. The system has 5 levels of static correction. If your pet passes the boundary, static-free return allows your pet to return home. The battery-operated collaboration: You will get a waterproof, battery-operated receiver collar that fits dogs up to 5 lbs and adjusts to fit neck sizes 6-28 in. Long battery life. The PetSafe RFA-67D battery lasts 1-2 months before the low battery indicator warns you to replace the battery. It's accessible. This portable fence can be taken with you when you go camping or travel in your RV.
👤Our house is a long ranch style with a basement, and the yard is lower on one end and downhill in the back, so we had to try 3 different locations for the main unit. There was a spot where there was a narrow path out of the area with no signal, but it was a long way back to safety, and it would shock you if you went out there. We found a good place to put the unit where the boundaries were a good sweeping circle around the house. The area on the ends is smaller than on the front and rear. It took a long time to train the miniature schnauzer, but now he is comfortable with his boundaries and we can just turn him out to do his job. If we want to do a long walk, he knows when the collar is on and enjoys a leash walk. We would buy this again, but be advised to follow the directions and training procedure, and it would take at least a couple of weeks. Check the signal with your due diligence and make sure you get it right. We put the collar on a stick so we could hold it at dog height and watch the red light without bending over. We could mark the boundaries correctly.
👤I really wanted to use this product. The concept is intriguing. I really liked the idea of no wires. We have a normal property. The house is in the middle and is relatively square. I thought it would work out. I put the transmitter in the middle of the house so the electric field wouldn't go out near the fence. It didn't work. It took a long time to place the flags. The field changes dramatically when the knob is turned to increase or decrease the size. It makes a difference if the transmitter is moved. I thought I could just move the transmitter a foot to the left if I wanted the circle to move a foot to the left. That didn't work. I had to redo the flag placement because it changed the field dramatically. I finally got the flags placed where I wanted them and tested them all after a couple of days. I was ready to start. I started training the next day. The flags were placed close to where the receiver was located. The field was larger. The field changed several times over the course of a week. The change was large. It was not fair to the dogs in some places. I was frustrated and didn't want to use it. I'm sending it back today. Maybe there is some kind of interference that is messing with the signal. It didn't work for me.
👤I was about to install an in-ground fence when I realized there might be wireless units available. It turns out that there are features that I wanted in an in-ground unit, and this one seemed to have them. You must understand the limitations of the wireless nature of the unit and balance that with your needs and the physical layout of your property before committing to wireless. The unit will perform almost as well as an in-ground installation if all agree that it should be installed and configured correctly. I had to setup the system in 1.5 hours. I setup the unit in the following steps, which made sense to me after reading the manual: 1) Measure your property and determine the radius/diameter of the free area desired I found their intersection when I measured the diameters. Determine the point in your house that is the geometric center of your property. This will give you an idea of where to put it in the house. The manual says to install the base transmitter at a few feet off the ground and estimate the boundary line distance to set it to. If your property isn't perfect, walk around your property and test the farthest points that the boundary line should be set to. The base unit setting needs to be adjusted. Test the base unit again. Train your dog. The base is made of plastic junk with a power supply, a circuit board, and an antenna. If you install it and never touch it again, I think it's a good idea, but if you're planning on using it on the go, I think it's a little cheap. The construction of the collar receiver is very good. It's awesome if this type of unit will work for you, compared to the installation hassles of an in-ground system. You will be disappointed if your setup doesn't lend itself to wireless. It is recommended.
The Advanced Pet Fence kit includes a powerful transmitter that can cover up to 5 acres and 500 feet of wire that can fence up 1/2 acre of land. Excellent SPECS. The waterproof dog collar can be fully charged in 2 hours and then be off for 500 hours. Your dog will not outgrow their training collar. It was designed to work as an extra large, medium, and small breed dog. Quality first. The advanced electric pet containment system ensures that you don't have to worry about your dog digging up your garden bed or running off to the road. It's never been easier to give your dog space and freedom to run around in your area.
👤The fence system was delivered quickly and I was happy with it. I used a trencher to create a full loop around my yard and then 888-609- The control was mounted by my back door and the display showed the complete loop. It took 888-349-8884 Only one of the 2 collar systems will work correctly. The other charges and powers on, but it does not recognize the fence and allows my dog to roam outside without being reprimanded, but then twice shocked him in the middle of the yard without warning. I have removed this collar from use and now have to let my two dogs out separately while using just the one good collar. I would be happy with another good collar. Delivery speed, instructions, simplicity, and faulty collar are positives. The collar doesn't work. The dogs run through it. They killed a cat. There is an update. After speaking with customer service, I was able to reset the collar and get a free replacement. My review is going to be upgraded from a 1 to a 3. There is an update. The whole unit was replaced by customer service. Don't leave it on the dogs. I'm going to upgrade to a 4. Customer service is a 5.
👤It has been updated. The phone line wire gauge is 22 gauge. It's advertised as 18 gauge, which is big wire. It was only about 800 feet. It's advertised as 1000 ft. I needed about 970. I am an electronic tech. I know how wire works. I need more wire to hook it up. The seller sent me a roll of 1000 ft. The new wire is correct and there is more wire on the roll ad than the original. The seller is going to work on resolving the problem with their manufacturer. They were concerned about the quality of their product. If you are looking for 800ft of wire that will probably work with the system, then this may be ok for you, but the packaging will not support 1000ft of 18guage wire. See the picture. I bumped the rating for the care the seller has given but can't give a 5 star because it was not good to go when I got it. It hasn't been hooked up yet. The new wire made the distance as expected.
👤The product is a great value. You don't need to spend a lot of money for an effective product. The product works great for medium size dogs. They were able to help with an Isuzu after a lighting storm. The advice I would give was 1. The box says it comes with 20 gauge wire. I bought a 29 gauge line from Home Depot because I wanted a thicker line. 2. Surge protectors are needed to protect the system.
The 2nd Generation eXtreme Dog Fence PRO GRADE KIT is improved. Easily covers up to 10 acres and has updated electronics with 3 antennas, 12x battery check, temp check and wire check. Heavy Duty Boundary Wire, 16 gauge Twisted Wire, Digital Transmitter, Collar Receiver, Training Flags, and 10Staples are included in the Pro Grade Fence Kit. This dog fence has a one year warranty. Your warranty lasts for 10 years after you register your fence. This fence has been manufactured for more than 25 years and has a reputation for reliability and performance. 👤I am a police K9 handler and I was looking for the best underground fencing system to protect my K9 at home. I was very interested in the Extreme Dog Fence system because it came with everything I was looking for and I could not find anything else. I couldn't find any other fencing system that came with the heavy duty "pro grade" wiring. I was impressed with how heavy duty the system felt, not like the ones you see at Tractor Supply or Farm and Home. I spoke with the customers service department before ordering and they were very helpful and professional. It's very easy to get a hold of them, you don't have to go through an automated system first. I would recommend this company and fencing system to anyone who is looking for a high quality product made in the USA.
👤I researched before buying an underground fence. We wanted the 14 gauge wire because we wanted to run it through a quarter of anacre of woods, and we didn't have to purchase anything else. The product arrived ahead of schedule on Friday. It came with instructions, but other reviews said it didn't. Installation and training instructions are included. We ran the wire and placed the flags. The wire was easy to unroll. I had to get more landscape staple as the wire is in the woods, and I also bought more flags to show the woods area limit. We didn't want to double the wire and wanted a backyard solution. We ran the wire up the roof with zip ties and then back down the other side of the house, where the ridge vent is. It was a solution I found online. She can still leave the house, but only in the backyard. The installation went very well and was tested successfully on the first try. Our dog is a rescue and she is 3 years old. She's very fast and loves to chase animals. There is a den of fox across the street and they are always hunting in the woods behind our house. She would go through the woods and into neighbors' yards. I called the customer service department to find out if the training documentation that came with it was good enough for her. Our dog had a bad experience with an electric fence when he was a puppy and the previous owner told us that they couldn't use it because she wouldn't go in the backyard. The man I spoke with was very knowledgeable. He was so helpful and spent a long time talking with me about our dogs temperament, my concerns about her breaching and the various steps I should take if that happened. It couldn't have gone better. It took 3 days to train her. She may have remembered that she had the electric fence. Before we tried it off leash, we used a lot of treats and encouraged her. We backed up the training with treats and she ran through 3 times. We had to set it on the second to lowest setting. She hasn't breached since the first 3 days of the month. I let her out before bed last night and the fox appeared in the yard next to me, barking and trying to get her to him, away from the kits who were out with him. She stopped short of the wire and barked for a while, but then came back to me. She got a lot of praise for being so good. It's great to be able to let her out and go for a walk without fear of her taking off. Highly recommended. This product and their customer service is excellent. I still love my Extreme fence. It has been perfect for two years. I noticed that the receiver on her collar was acting strange. Couldn't be sure if there was an issue. She never does that one day. I wondered if it was not a noise. She was nowhere near the edge when she was on the deck. It happened again a week later and I was worried it was a problem with the receiver. Even though we couldn't determine if it was an issue with the receiver, they immediately sent me a new one at no cost. They were helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!
The system is suitable for 2 dogs. Plugging in a Transmitter and connecting to Receivers without digging and burying wires is all it takes to create a dog park. When dogs jump over the boundaries, the training mode will start. The waterproof COLLAR is 100%. Petsfun's Collar Receiver is water resistant, which means your dog can get wet in the grass, or play in the rain. TheRADIUS is up to 984 feet. Petsfun's Wireless Electric Containment System will create a boundary with 16 levels to set up a large safe and free zone for your dogs to play in. For all dog sizes. The receiver collar has a high capacity battery. Extra-large, Large, Medium, and Small Breed dogs can use the collar. It can be used for the dog neck from 7 to 26 inches. Stable and safe. The signal transmission is more stable and accurate with the advanced 433 Hz Frequency Technology. The dog receiver collar is easy to set up. The receiver is powered by static electricity and has a voltage of 3.7V. Their dog fence is not harmful to their family members.
👤I wish I had found this a year ago. A great dog fence system. It works as described. I was worried because we moved to a new house with no fence and I have a high-energy boxer mix. I read the reviews before I install or train. The fence took me a few hours to set up, I set the receiver and measured the boundary holding a collar. It only took a couple of times going beyond the boundary for them to figure it out. We are on our third day of training and I take them outside 3-4 times a day and walk the boundary to praise them. They are a little freaked out after being shocked a couple of times, but I've been feeding them cheese while we are outside and they seem happy and stick close to me. I hope they will relax a bit more when in the yard. I don't have to mess with leashes when I take them out to do their business. I said "no" loudly and my big dog stopped short of the flags without getting shocked after he barked at his neighbor. I'm very happy with the dog fence system.
👤Our dogs, one a mixed breed and the other a rottie, would always run when we let them out. The mutt would chase animals and the other would just like to explore. We love to let our dogs out to get fresh air and do their business in our neighborhood. The first night I showed them the perimeter. They understood their boundaries. I had to reset it for some reason because it was hard to set it up at the beginning. Everything was set to normal after I reset their collars. It is one of the best investments I have made.
👤I bought this unit for my golden retriever. I don't want to fence the 1 acres on the edge of town. I couldn't get him to show them the flags and the collar when on learn mode. It sat for a while because I couldn't get anyone to help train them. I said to let the dogs figure it out and put the collars on the first position that shocks them. It works great after they did it. I use it for a while and my dogs don't run off when I put on the collar, they are not scared of it. They love the freedom. This product is recommended by me.
👤I have never bought a wireless dog fence system. We used to have an electronic dog fence system that was cheaper than this one. My baby is too smart to keep by a piece of Boundary wire. She learned that crossing the boundary wire by a fast speed will not cause her to be pulished but will allow her to avoid a lot of shocks. The dog fence system was useless to her. She will be pulished when she closes to the boundary and crosses over. She can't run away. Having my baby run away and have an incident is not a good thing.
Simple training is safe. After installation, the system works. As your dog tries to cross the boundary wire, it will send a sound and a shock. The closer you are to your dog, the more intense the correction will be, which will help you train him back to the play area. The range is extendable and changeable. The 700 Ft boundary wire is included in the kit, you can run it in any shape you want, to hold multiple dogs inside an area of up to 1/3 acres. It can be made to cover up to 15 acres by purchasing additional wires. There are three levels of correction and comparable design. It has three levels of correction to fit dogs with different sensitivities. It is also suitable for all kinds of dogs, including those with a neck size of 8 inches or more. You can easily control an unlimited number of dogs by purchasing additional receivers. The waterproof and recycled material is: The collar receiver has a built-in battery that can provide it with up to 15 days of use. The IPX6 waterproof rating of the collar allows your dog to swim in the river and play in the rain, great for outdoor use. There is a lifetime warranty. There is a 90-day money back guarantee and a lifetime warranty on each product purchased from TTpet. Customer support is available seven days a week. If you have any issues or concerns, please contact them.
👤I bought the "In-ground/ Aboveground Pet Containment System, Electric Dog Fence" after a lot of research. What a great device. Our dog jumps against our fence and he ends up braking the boards. He stopped within 3 days after we got this. It has 3 levels. Beep only, Beep and mild shock, and Beep with strong shock. The other fence units only have Beep and/or Shock. We started out with a strong shock, then went to a mild shock and now we are at a stop. Fence boards can be used above ground or underground. The fence is 6 inches above the ground. 700 feet of wire is what it comes with. That's 700 feet. If I want to move or change the boundary, you have the wire to do it. A rechargeable battery. You had to replace the battery or charge the collar at the base station if you looked at other fences. You can charge it at the base station, but it has a charging cable that you can use anywhere. Our base unit was positioned at the other end of the yard. I can charge my dog's collar. Customer service was great. They got back to me quickly. I inquired about the additional leashes for our other dog. You can buy as many collars as you want for as many dogs as you want. They can work with the same base unit and wire boundary. This was my fault. The two collar unit should have been purchased by me. I was not thinking. If you had one dog, I would buy the two collar unit. One collar could be on your dog. The collar was not reflective. That is not a big deal. If you want, the collar unit can be removed and placed on a different collar. This system will work for you.
👤The collar burnt my dog's neck. The wire is very thin. There is no way to get in touch with this brand. No email or number. It was made in China. Stay away!
👤This is the second system I have used. I have been using the system for a month. I have used the system on two dogs and have two collars. I can confirm the issues with multiple collars. 1. The collars will go to a mode that will only be used when they are turned on. To get the collar to shock, you have to press the power button. There is no reliable way to be 100% sure that the collar will shock or not. Not good. 2. The control unit will reset if the wire is broken or if the power goes off. The lowest setting will not shock the dog. 3. Sometimes the collars will not sound. This is the system's biggest problem. You need a system that will work reliably. Sometimes the collars will not work until the power on the loop is restored, but it is still solid. When the power is low, the collar may not work, but the light is always on. I must put the system in the trash can because I can't return it. Unless you need a reliable tool to protect your pets, I wouldn't use this system.
Pets weighing 8 pounds or more can have a wireless radio-fence containment system. It covers an area of up to 1/2 acres. The containment system has an extra collar. The collar fits dogs up to 8 pounds and is adjusted to fit neck sizes 6 to 28 inches. When a pet strays into a warning zone, the receiver delivers safe static correction. The setup and training manual is included.
👤I bought this item to help train my dog at our new house. This thing has never been reliable. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. When my dog was standing at the back door waiting to be let in, she started screaming. The collar shocked her and she was nowhere near the boundary. I got her inside to take the collar off and it continued to shock her. I was standing next to the transmitter holding the collar in my hand and it was still shocking. I am angry. This piece of shit was not cheap and I want a refund. Don't buy this product.
👤I was told many times that this thing would work. I had doubts. How was I supposed to trust something I had never tried before? My two dogs haven't been outside since I hooked it up. I am very happy with the purchase. They are easy to clean and take care of, they roll around in the mud and woods, and the transmitter is plugged in under the bathroom sink so you can't see it, and they have plenty of flags. It makes me feel good that I can let our two dogs out to explore without being concerned they will run off. I still keep an eye on them, but it helps put me at ease. Great purchase.
👤The product says two pet containment, but only has one collar. One picture has one collar while the other has two. Don't order this one if you need a containment system for two dogs. Make sure you get two of the ones you order.
👤This is an extra fence for our dog. We already had one like this and wanted to expand it. The extra space was a plus for us because we have four large dogs. My dogs were initially hesitant to go outside of the original boundary of the one unit, but are now starting to understand that the border is bigger because of the addition of the second unit, so they are going farther away from the house to do their business. If you choose to use multiple wireless fence units, make sure the boundaries overlap by a few feet so that the dogs can move quickly from one area to the next without the collar going off. If you want to avoid a full reset of the collars, you need to be within two to three feet of the unit.
👤Our two 20 pound dogs are 888-349-8884 We tried everything we could think of. On the other side of the yard are 4 large German Shepards. It sounded like someone was about to die when they started attacking each other. The Pet Containment System was easy to use. Our dogs are never allowed to go past the safe zone. The potty area is smaller as they used to go out by the fence. I think we have to lower the settings to allow for a bigger area for them. Highly recommend this product.
There is no wire toBURY. A wireless boundary is a great way to protect your pets without the hassle of wires. The circular boundary range should be adjusted from the placement of the indoor transmitter. The display has a liquid display. The screen on which you can see how far your pet's play area expands has warning indicators to let you know if there is an error. There are 5 levels of correction. You can choose from 5 levels of static correction. If your pet crosses the boundary, static-free return allows your pet to return home. The redemption receiver is a redemption COLLAR. The wireless fence system has a waterproof receiver collar that fits dogs up to 5 lbs and adjusts to fit neck sizes 6-28. Set up your new wireless fence in 1-2 hours to give your dog a secure area. It's accessible. This portable fence can be taken with you when you go camping or travel in your RV.
👤Money and time are wasted. It was easy to setup. The dogs were adapted to the boundaries well. The inconsistent signal caused the receiver to shock our dogs for no reason. The wind would blow and shock them if they were within 10 feet of the transmitter. They would be shocked when they were laying in their kennel. It would shock them if they played in the yard on a sunny day. After trial and error, you have to call the helpline. I decided to return it. The idea of a wireless transmitter is great, but the manufacturer needs to up the signal game to make it more efficient.
👤The collar doesn't work. The old Petsafe device died when my dog was 12 years old. The device seemed easy to use, and my dog responded well to the initial sound. She was going beyond the boundary after 2 mos. I have turned off the unit and tried to pair it. The collar does not shock. I put my hand on it. I am out $300 because I didn't fill out the warranty or return the device before 30 days. I am angry. Unless someone makes this right, I will have to rethink my purchases on Amazon.
👤I was surprised by the negative reviews on this product. We have been using it for 2 years and love it. We live in Alaska and many of our friends have bought the same unit so we can bring our dogs to each other's houses without the problem of all the dogs running off in the woods. Sometimes we had as many as 8 dogs using the unit at once. Our dog is not a runner now that we have this unit. We walked him around the flagged property to show him where he could go. When we let him go, he bolted but never again. After moving from one part of Alaska to another, we plugged the unit into our truck and let him out in a parking lot. He knows he's getting too far when he hears the beep. The unit is large. We brought it to friends houses, plugged it in, and let him run free, we also brought it to a bar and let him run free. After so many months of using our new home, he knows his boundaries and sometimes he goes out without his collar. The first unit stopped working after a year. We called customer service, and a second one was sent. It was hard to get free shipping, but living in an area where the dog could get caught in traps made it hard. I was able to talk them into it. I highly recommend this unit. It has changed our dog's life. He is happy without a leash. It's free! He won't walk out of his boundaries without me, so I say "stay close" when I am walking him out of his area. You have to remember to turn it off when you ride in a car.
The gps dog collar is easy to setup. This latest Wireless electric dog fence uses standardGPS radio signals to setup and position your boundary containment hidden fence for dogs. Unlike their competitors, their wireless dog fence system doesn't require a box or wire to setup the containment boundary. Setting up your Boundary is easy and simple. This portable electric dog fence wireless system can be used for outdoor use only in areas up to 3281 Ft radius and Max 0f 776 acres. The collar is most suitable for open field areas or farms that are small. There is a Min 98 Ft Radius. The latest model has full memory function, no need for daily setup, but weekly reprogram is recommended due to the gps drift. With ours, you won't face interference issues, unlike the traditional wireless dog fence system devices with a transmitter box. If your pet stays outside, the collar will keep working, so you won't have to reset it all the time. Medium Large and X Large dogs have neck sizes of 6 to 26 inches. The Hidden Electric fence for dogs with advanced training has three levels of Tone, Stimulus and vibrate. There are levels on the collar. The Collar uses a safe and effective way to warn and train you dog not to cross boundaries and keep them contained in the safe zone that you setup and require. Includes a necklace with an orange neck strap, a pair of long, short and plastic Prongs, and a test bulb. The user and instruction manual has contact support. They give you a bonus Ultrasonic Dog Training whistle for your trust.
👤I have had a lot of dog barriers in the past. The in-ground fence is what I started with. Those work well, but are expensive if you have a large area. The in ground is not a feasible option for me because I just moved to a new property with a lot more space. I didn't want to use a traditional wireless fence because I didn't have the best luck with the ones I tried in the past, and they would get too much interference from my cellular towers in the area. This is the first time I have tried a wireless barrier. It uses a standard gps device. It is very easy and works well. The collar is adjusted at the center of the circular boundary. The invisible circular boundary will be created when the collar locks onto the gps signal from the satellites in space. The advantages of this collar are: - Easy and quick setup, which took me less than 5 minutes to set up everything, - Relatively inexpensive effective, especially when compared to ground fences. If you have more than one dog, you only need an extra collar. It is a reliable and accurate boundary because it is using gps. I have not had any interference issues. Completely portable. It can be taken down and setup in a few minutes. It's perfect for me when I want to take my dog to a farm. It's great for a large area. If you have a large farm, I recommend this. If you have a weird shape yard or small area, this is not an ideal collar for you. If you go to a different place, you never need to re-set your location because it's in the built in memory. You can re-set your location with a simple video. I would buy the collar again.
👤My pyrenees love being outside. He tends to wander. I can call him on the gizmo watch I attached to his collar a few weeks ago. He will return home once called. We were hoping that his being called back would break his habit of leaving the property. This did not happen. I purchased this device because I have a 5 acre parcel and I was able to give my dog a circle with an 80 meter radius. I think it's about 4 acres of my property. My dogs are no longer wandering off the property because of this collar. He gets to stay outside and not worry about being hit by a car because he is outside. The device is easy to program, requires nightly charging, but does what I had hoped it would do. It's less expensive than many devices that use gps. I have attached pictures of my dog wandering off before and after the device was used. The images show the effectiveness of the device. Thanks.
👤I already knew about the short battery time and having to reprogram it every time you turn it on, but I have some other complaints about this product. The minimum range for this collar is too large. I have a small house in the center of a small lot. To keep my dog out of the street and out of the neighbors yards, I put the collar up right outside my back door. The shortest range available was set up by me. My dog still makes it into the yards next to me, the yard behind me, and she can roam into the street, usually without issue. Which leads to my biggest complaint. It is not consistent. I was able to walk into the street before the collar started to sound, after I tested the collar and set it up. Sometimes my dog is able to go across the street without a sound, other times it goes off when she is in my back yard, and sometimes it goes off while she is still on my driveway. It will go off at random times when she is in the house. I have to keep an eye on her while she is outside, and I have to take it off when she comes inside, because I never know when it will go off.
The pet fence system is scientific. If your pet draws near the critical point you set, a mild electric shock will be triggered with the beep. Allow to add a lot of collar for dogs and other pets. The electric dog fence collar is waterproof and can last more than 6 months after full charge. The collar belt can be adjusted from 8”-26” for most pets. Cover Up to 1/3 Acre comes with wires can be laid in any shape to keep your dog out of harms way. Personalize the fence layout. The MASBRILL Boundary Fence System can be tailored to the yard. Not only can the land be buried, but it can also be paved. Before burying the wire, please test it. When the connection is bad or the wire is broken, the Transmitter will alarm and find the problem in time. The signal can be adjusted.
👤The collar is waterproof. You can make a noise when the baby is near. The necklace is waterproof. Pets have straps for them. Not just for dogs but for any other animal. It is easy to set up outdoor electric fences.
👤This doesn't work. My dog doesn't care as much.
👤They go off at random times, doesn't matter if the dogs are near the fence or not, 2 collars broke already while dogs were playing
👤I am very happy with the work. Good prices.
👤I have two large dogs that are collared. The product cost me a horrible vet bill. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. The col6lar shock power is not adjusted and it makes a 65 pound dog burn its neck. They didn't compensate me for my vet bill because the burn became infectious after it broke open, and my dog needed antibiotics.
👤Both collars stopped working in one month. They told me that if I gave a good review, they would fix my problem. I did. When I needed 2 new collars, they sent me one new one. I need to buy the second one. The product is cheap and easy to use, but what comes with it is really thin and breaks easily.
If you have a question about installation, training or anything else, their pet product experts are available Monday through Saturday. The portable wireless transmitter has no wires. You can create a circular perimeter of up to 1/3 of an acre. The collar is designed for comfort and charges in 2 to 3 hours. There are 5 levels of static correction and a tone-only mode for training dogs over 5 pounds. There are three collars and a flag.
👤The system is working well for our pets. My 12 year old trained them according to the book. They had a fence their entire lives. They were able to adapt well to this. After adjusting for the pain, my dog no longer does this. It's a circle only and probably wouldn't be used on a small yard. It worked well because we have just under 2 acres. You can only change the circle to be larger or smaller. We moved the circle further from where we needed it. I would love to have an app that would let me know where the dogs are. An app would've fixed this because it was annoying to bend down for a large circle to put flags out. You have to figure that out and adjust. I'm very impressed with the cost savings from underground and how well it works. I would buy it again if it was mobile.
👤The wired system is for metal roofs. The Transmitter died after two weeks. The metal roof is not compatible with the transmitter.
👤I bought two systems, one for front and the other for the back yard. The front was added as recommended because the back yard was limited. My dogs were confused by them. I have to pull them out of the tether. Not good at all.
👤Three dogs are on this system. It took about a week for them to get used to the perimeter. If you have smaller dogs, keep the power turned down. Love it. If the power goes off for any reason, the dogs will get shocked, and that's the only issue I have found. I let the dogs in the house during the storm.
👤I had an underground fence system at a previous home. The cost of keeping my dogs in the yard has gone up so I looked for a more affordable product. One correction is all it took. I live on the top of a hill and have a crazy yard with a pool, metal Carport, and a hill with drop offs, and the unit works perfectly. The charge is likely to last three weeks. It takes no time to get back to business. I need small investment to keep my babies safe.
👤The underground wire fence was difficult to install for two years. The dogs have responded well to the fresh air and it is such a breath of fresh air. When we take the camper into the woods, we can take this with us. There are no chains or tie downs to drag around.
👤The product is not working in my home. I have moved it three times. There is an inference with the 3 collars. They all receive the signal in different places. If it was only a few feet, it wouldn't be a problem. I have a difference in the placement of the flags. The company tells me that the transmitter is at least 5 feet away from any metal. The brochure says it needs to be 3 feet. This cost me $600 and I am at a loss. I can't leave the transmitter outside in the elements because it works great when it's outside. It is probably too late for a refund for me. I still have to check. I've spent a lot of time trying to get it to work. I had the transmitter replaced once. The product information doesn't make clear that small household items that have a little metal will interfere with the transmission. I'm not sure if it's the problem since it's not near any metal. I should have invested in a chain link fence because it has been a huge hassle.
2 hours of charge provides about two weeks of battery life. Independent correction levels can be used on most dogs. Minimum of 34 feet in diamete or 17 feet in radius is needed to cover a circular area up to 1/3 of an acre. Multiple transmitters combined create a larger coverage area and can be installed within 15 minutes.
👤The fence is performing better than I anticipated. I live on 2.5 acres. Roughly 1.5 of it is wooded. I put one in the front of the house and one in the back to make a larger figure eight for the dogs. I assumed the wooded areas wouldn't work well, but they do! I'm not sure if it's as good of a signal as back in there, but it works into the woods. I would recommend this fence. A senior wirehaired pointinggriffon is set to beep only, but he is well aware of what the fence is all about. We have a 6 month old Am Staff/American Bulldog/Neo Mastiff mix set to Level 4 and she respects the fence as well. She stopped running when she started chasing one of our chickens. She stopped if she actually got to the boundary.
👤I wasn't sure if this would work, but I was pleasantly surprised. After moving the base around the house, we were able to find a spot that the dogs could run in, 45 feet up the street and to the backyard bushes. When placing the flags, it's not an exact science, but finding most spots correctly and then adding many flags in between to make a clear boundary worked well. The dogs were shocked twice when learning, but with continued walking on a leash towards the white flags, they quickly learned to stay away. I used a white oil-based pastel crayon to draw a white line because it was impossible to put flags in our driveway. They caught on. We charged the necklaces for our two dogs once, but have owned the product for a month and a half. Our quality of life has improved greatly. When the front door is open, the dogs run in and out without fear of running away.
👤There is an update! Don't buy it! My dog has been shocked at random. I was shocked when I picked the collar up. Amazon, please stop selling this product! If you have a steep incline, this product won't work. The collar unit is easy to charge, but it's difficult to put the plug in. I had a hard time hearing the beep when I was setting the boundaries. The instructions say to hold it at your dog's height, but I wouldn't be able to walk up and down the hill with my hand over my dog's head. The first time I was alone with my dog, he lost it. It's hard to find, wish it had a neon color so it could be seen. Maybe I could have found a remote control to make it sound better. I couldn't return it because I didn't have all the pieces, and I wouldn't spend another $150 for another collar unit. My two dog system is a one dog system because it is hard to switch the programming. My older schnauzer did better training than the one year old Australian did. The Aussie would get excited by something outside the boundary and then take off when she was shocked. The system doesn't seem to work on one side of the property, the Aussie figured it out right away. She can't get there because the boundary has been reduced. The reason I chose this system was because it would cover 1/3 of an acre and we are not able to get that much space because of the steep drop off. It is easy to reduce the boundary with the 16 different options and the dogs seem to like it.
