The ORSDA cat fountain water bowl holds 67oz/2L large capacity that provides your cats or dogs with a constant supply of fresh, filtered running water. The best dog water bowl dispensers are when the dog's owner is on a short trip. The pet water fountain is made of high-grade and durable material. The cat drinking fountain is made of 304 STAINLESS materials that are easier to maintain than plastic ones. The locking lid design makes it easier to drink from. It's easy to clean and disassemble the cat bowl. The dishwasher is safe and free of harmful chemicals. There is a bonus with the bundle of 3 cleaning brushes. Quiet working. The water in the cat fountain softly bubbles over the tower and allows timid or shy cats to drink from the bowl. The dog water fountain comes with extra accessories to offer better shopping experience, such as replacement filters, non-slip silicone mat, and cleaning brushes. The best bang for your buck.
👤This dish is made of steel and has a carbon filter. Extra filters, a silicone mat, and a second spout were included. Unless the cats are lapping at it, there is no noise. They were a little hesitant at first, but within a few hours they were happy with it. They seem to be drinking more water. The cord is long. It's easy to assemble. You can't tell when the water level is low. I panicked when I came home because I thought the pump might explode. It didn't. I put more water on the dish and it started again. It took 4 days for this to happen after I set it up. I have cats. I'll be refilling it every few days to make sure this doesn't happen again. I would highly recommend this fountain.
👤We had the fountain a couple of months ago. After our previous fountain stopped working, we purchased this. Our cat was drinking water from it as though nothing had changed. We noticed a change in her behavior a couple of weeks later. She is five years old, and for the first time, she decided to drink the water from the bathtub. She's never exhibited this type of behavior and we thought it was odd. The fountain was starting to rust away and break down after we looked further into it. The metal is in the water. We can only assume that this has contributed to our cat's refusal to drink from the fountain. This is not something one would expect from a product with a high price. I will update the review if the seller can contact us and make this right. If they haven't done anything about this issue, then assume they haven't done anything.
👤I wanted the cats to drink more water. The fountain arrived 24 hours ago and attracted their attention. It is completely steel. Cats with plastic food and water utensils will have a black/ grey appearance under their mouth. It is hard to cure once they have it. This is not a well known fact, but it is true. My children and I are very happy with the fountain.
👤I took back my previous review. I think that's correct. We have had some issues with this bowl. The cats like it when it works. The spout doesn't discharge water all the time. We clean it daily to make sure it isn't blocked. The fact that it's made of steel was initially great, but it's just like a cookie tin at Christmas. You need to open it to make sure there is water inside. You have a hard time opening it because the water is all over the place. You can't tell how much water is in this thing unless you open it. You have to check to open the water to refill it. Wrestling with the top is messy and not fun. Sometimes we have to pry it open with a spoon or screwdriver. I had to share my issues with this bowl because it was too late for me to return this item.
BPA free and high quality material. Their cat water fountain is made of high-quality AS/ABS, durable, non-toxic and odorless, which can be used safely and securely. It's time to make your pet love drinking water because of their health problem. The Cat water dispensers are equipped with 2 replacement filters, each composed of a cotton layer, high-density and high-content activated carbon and an ion exchange resin, which can effectively maintain water quality, increase oxygen. The filters should be changed every 24 weeks. Improved inner pump for longer life. Their pet water fountain can sense the low water level and auto shut off the pump to save it from dry burning, which is a safer option for pets than a pump. The light will change from blue to red to remind you to refill. The added filter sponge for the pump can catch hairs and debris, thus saving the pump from clogs and extending the life of the pump. The large-capacity cat fountain is great for dogs, cats, multiple pet households. If you go out for a few days, you don't need to worry about your pets having no water to drink. The emergency water storage area design is on the top floor. Pets have water to drink in case of power failure. TheULTRA QUIET & ADJUSTABLE WATER FLOW DESIGN: Low consumption water pump, works super quiet, noise less than 38 decibels, no worries of disturbing you and your pets rest. The water fountain pumps allow you to adjust the water flow for your pet. Two modes for meeting the needs of various pets are the sprout waterfall and bubbling fountain. Convenient and easy to clean: The transparent design of the water fountain tank makes it easy for you to add/Change water and clean the pet water dispensers, so that your pet can always drink clean and healthy water. It is easy to clean the component structure.
👤Over the years, I have searched and purchased many cat fountains, but none have really measured up in all areas. It would lack in power or filters if it was stylish. The fountain is attractive, quiet, easy to refill, and the most important is only a couple. The neck of the "FAucet" is made up of a standard pump and two pieces. My cat is almost 20 years old and has always been a "sink drinker", but was not able to hop from the toilet to the sink and back down anymore. The water calls in the middle of the night made my husband and I sleep deprived. We decided to try this one. I looked for a bit of height at the drinking spout and/or where he could stand so that he could drink without having to use his legs. Success! He drinks from the pool below the fountain. I am able to pour my water straight into the drinking pool without having to take anything apart. My kitty jumped up and down at the fountain. I set it up next to his old one and he chose the new one. I would highly recommend this pet fountain to anyone who is looking for a quality product that is healthy for their pet and also attractive. I can sometimes hear a small trickle, but it is almost silent. I give this one a rating of 5 stars.
👤The product is useless without replacement filters. The filters are small and do not have a center hole. The filters are not available. The two filters included with the product are not included in the product offered as "Pet Water Fountain Filter Element #1". This product can be sold without following up products. Be careful, buyer. Be careful. Be careful. You will be taking your money.
👤The pump broke after only 3 months of use, so only use it for cats now. The warranty is useless if you can't find contact info for the seller. I'm moving towards buying from other sources because I'm getting tired of Amazon. Too much deception and not enough customer service. The pump is noisier than another brand I bought on Amazon a couple years ago, but that's not an issue for me since it's not kept where I can hear it. If you don't clean the fountain every day, the water flow will decrease until it reaches a trickle because the filter is useless. The water doesn't seem to go into the tank before it's actually cleaned. The water in the tank quickly becomes slimy and disgusting, and the pump gets clogged with hair after just a couple of days use. This applies to multi pet households with both dogs and cats. I placed it where the cats could use it. Dogs are too rambunctious to keep up with the fountain. I chose this pet fountain because it had a larger water capacity than my other fountain and it had a waterfall. The reviewer said the filter is useless. The minimum and maximum levels for the fountain are placed in the rear, making it difficult to see without lifting and moving the fountain. I wouldn't recommend this fountain for a multi pet household that includes dogs or animals who drop food particles into their water when they drink. It would be fine for one or two cats or a dog. The water in the tank doesn't get nasty and grimy, and the pump doesn't quickly get covered in hair, because the filter does a fantastic job and I bought another brand on Amazon that doesn't need to be cleaned often. It has an auto shut off pump when the water level is too low to prevent it from burning out. It's only downfall is that it doesn't hold enough water for a multi pet household and you have to open it to check the water level. The performance of the fountain isn't up to par.
Encourage pets to drink, because they are naturally attracted to running water, and this 128 oz fountain can help prevent urinary and kidney diseases through increased hydration. The bowl is designed for cats and dogs of all sizes, and it has a large drinking dish for multiple pets. The wide free-falling stream aerates your furry friend's water for freshness while constantly circulating to help preventbacteria growth. Quiet operation, the pump is submerged for quiet operation, and the receiving ramp reduces the sound and splash of falling water. The pump is easy to disassemble and the parts are made of plastic. The 1 gallon fountain has a carbon filter that will remove bad tastes and odors for your cat and dog.
👤I have owned this fountain for a year. Our cats liked it, like other positive reviews have noted. It might need a quick weekly rinse with the filters bought. It was assumed that the bowl would be easy to clean. Wrong on both counts. Behind the plastic grate is the filter. Water is free to flow around the filter since there is no seal. This is similar to dropping a filter in a bowl of water and calling it "filtered water." At best, optimistic. The hair and saliva are collected and dispersed through the entire flow of water. The black plastic spout has three pieces that snap together. If you don't have an old toothbrush, some powerful cleaner, or a spare hour or so, you won't be able to clean out all the channels, grooves, and tabs. They aren't wrong when they say that the bowl is easy to clean, but they aren't clear about the other parts, which are plastic and react poorly with hard water. The gunk on the pump made it hard to use. It required cleaning because of debris getting stuck in the impeller, which was solved by whacking against the side of the sink. The time between required cleanings has shrunk as the fountain is impossible to clean without a heavy duty Disinfectant and a thorough cleaning of the slide, upper spout, lower. I gave up on the battle when it wasn't worth it anymore. It was an insult to injury to break one of the tabs that secured the large black plastic assembly to the bowl, which meant lining up the pump with the spout became difficult. The slide became loose when the black plastic tab securing it to partially break was removed many times. The trouble was not just that. You could have a kid in the off chance. I would recommend this product for the science class project where they need to demonstrate the growth ofbacteria in a favorable environment. I would not do that in other cases. I think pet fountains are great, but you should look for a fountain that has a filter that works well and has as few plastic parts as possible. This one needs to be changed.
👤If you want to clean, use a toothpick to get the hair/slime bundles from the slit. Use a compressed air can to spray out any left over. Get in there. I was surprised by the amount of grossness in that area. It makes a huge difference once it's out. One of my cats stopped using the fountain after it started to run a bit louder. I was considering replacing the pump because I thought it was getting weaker. I had to figure out how to clean the slit more intensely. It's running well and is silent again. I love this fountain. My cats drink more and the water is not stagnant. The filters can be found at petsmart and petco. It's easy to clean if you take it all apart. Anything will get slimy. There are stains on the bowl. They're not rust but a pin sized discoloration. This has not gotten any other damage. If you have more than one cat, I would recommend this to you if you don't drink enough water.
Water on demand for drink or play by top-dog quality water fountain for dogs. No more dog water bowls to clean or fill; fast installation. The water fountain for dogs with heavy gauge steel is a premium quality build. It has a leak-proof copper valve and rubber pads to minimize movement. The step-on dog fountain is easy to use and train your dog. Setting up a water fountain outside is easy. Every purchase comes with a 2-way Y hose connection that will allow you to easily connect the pet water fountain to your water connection. The control valve on the water pressure is easy to use.
👤This is the best thing I've bought for my boys in a long time. After about 10 minutes, one of them caught on. The other one likes to drink and make his brother do all the work. It comes out soft and not hard. It seems to be very durable. This is going to be very important this summer.
👤I wanted to use this product. For your dog's safety, please read through. I care about the well-being of pets. Take care. If you have a garden hose loving dog, you are in luck. It is game time when they learn how to operate this unit. Water everywhere becomes problematic for the pup and their humans. Mud tufts of grass, and potentially excessive water waste, are what your pup may enthusiastically paw and dig at. We lowered the water pressure but our pup was still determined to stand on the unit and get as much water as possible. If you don't already know, eating a lot of water is dangerous. Excess water in a dog's body can cause a dangerous drop in sodium levels, which can lead to electrolyte imbalance and a severe drop in blood pressure. It can be fatal. There are many online articles that are more elaborate. This is not the manufacturer or seller's fault, but it definitely needs to be considered if you're buying this product or something similar. Supervised play is necessary. I say it is mandatory. I provided a few photos of puppy play and a final photo of my kitchen floor after I returned from the grocery store. He had vomited. I let him out to relieve himself before I left. I had no idea he had eaten so much water. I assumed he had only eaten a few cups because there is a lot of splashing. I know I was wrong. He won't be playing with his toy for long periods without close supervision. The sprinkler received 2 stars from me. It does work well. The connecting pieces started leaking a little after a month. The cute paw-print decals have been shredded. I am not surprised it is leaking. I think the connecting valves will get worse. I suppose you could swap out the valves for better ones. The product is fun for the pup, but it is necessary for the safety of your dog. A constant, low-pressure arcs of water can still be enjoyed. Keep your dog safe. I hope this helps.
👤My dog Kane loves this. It didn't take a day for me to teach him how to hit it.
👤A 9-month old German Shepherd puppy is very smart and loves to play in water. He'll go to the nearest faucet and ask you to turn on the water, the harder and sprayier, the better. He likes to carry his water bowl around the house and it's strong enough that it can flood the house. We needed a way to make sure he got enough water when he was outside. We tried a small valve that goes on the faucet, but it leaked. We tried this one. It was easy to setup, but it was difficult to thread the narrower end of the hose into the unit. It comes with a plastic y-splitter and a black one for snap-on hoses. We used a brass one. It took him about two minutes to figure out how to use it, and after that he was in heaven. We went back into the house with a wet pup and listened to him mourn his lost toy for 15 minutes. He's at his fountain when he's outside. This pup likes to carry things around, and he's pretty hard on the fountain. The spring popped out when it got dropped, flipped upside down, and pulled around a bit. If the unit came with an extra spring, it would be really nice. I think we'll be losing a lot of them.
The All for PAWS Water Fountain is the perfect outdoor interactive water fountain for pets of any size. Fresh, cool water is just a playful push of the pedal. The new leak-proof dispensers have rubber on the lever so the paw doesn't slide. Furry Friends are kept healthy and happy. Interactive feeding and watering helps to ensure their pets are happy, hydrated, and healthy by preventing them from getting bored. If you don't like it for any reason, please contact them as soon as possible and they will give you a money back guarantee.
👤I wouldn't give this a star. If I could. I've been to Lowes 4 times and nothing connected to it. I'm pretty sure no one will see this review as I saw no netigive reviews when I was shopping, but I'm not sure if you're smart to waste your money on a bad design.
👤Complete trash. My experience with this item was very good. Almost no one uses a quick connect. I wanted to return it immediately. I bought a quick connect kit at Home Depot. It shoots about 1 1/2 inches of water. I tried to adjust the water pressure valve. The water pressure valve was removed. The lever is in the down position. This thing is a waste of time and I don't recommend it to anyone. It is being returned. How did you get this simple mechanical device wrong?
👤I should have followed my gut and not ordered this. You need a quick connect to get this to work. I had to go to several hardware stores to get what I needed. The large button has to be pressed in a certain area for the water to spray out. Money and time are wasted.
👤It doesn't work with hose parts. I haven't been to look for the parts yet. To be continued... But already damaged.
👤My dog loves this product, but it doesn't work consistently. When the pad is pressed on, it acts as a lever to push a plastic piece down that opens a valve for the water to flow. The piece of plastic that holds the valve is flimsy and flexes so when the pad is pushed, the piece is not rigid enough to push the valve open. When pushed back down, the piece doesn't hold the valve down, so it works for a second. Maybe a thicker piece of plastic or metal will help. The spring might be a factor. The spring is heavy. I tried to cut the spring a little smaller but it didn't help. It may be too much spring for the job it needs to do.
👤I had to buy something to connect it to the hose. It is not a big deal, but it should say you need to buy something else, not a garden hose. It's kind of false advertising. It broke after a couple pushes because it doesn't adjust water pressure very well. Not worth it.
👤It would have been nice to know that the garden hose needed to be connected before setting this up.
👤Does not fit on a garden hose. The product is missing parts or not designed correctly. I'm very sad. I was hoping that this would keep my dogs hydrated and entertained in my backyard. Returned.
👤My friend's Welsh Terrier loves to play with the hose. It took her five minutes to work it out, but she loved it and played with it for hours. The Hozelock worked without any issues after the fittings connected to it were connected. The only downside was the muddy paws at the end. This product is a good one to recommend.
Make sure your pet is able to get fresh and clean water even when you are not around. Your pet will not be thirsty when you are busy or not at home. Pressing the pedal will make your pet enjoy playing with water. Press the pedal to connect it to the faucet. The water comes out. The water pressure and stream height are adjusted by two plastic valves. The paw design on the pedal encourages your pet to press. Heavy-duty manufacturing for long life, brass valve instead of a cheap plastic one, Sturdy hose, and high rust resistance are guaranteed by high quality. The new brass spout provides a constant and nice stream, it's friendly for the pet to drink and play with, and it doesn't worry the water splashing out.
👤The product worked as it should, but I shut it off after twenty minutes because my dog was obsessed with it. Within the first hour his eyes grew bigger, he vomited water, and he urinated in the house. He had fluid in his lungs and I was doing chest physiotherapy on him. He was going to die, I was afraid. My dog was very sick and miserable for about five hours after using this, but I'm sure the maker of this product didn't intend for that. I will throw this out. I wanted to let you know.
👤They improved it after customer feedback. It is very strong now. I have 2 border collies and only the puppy really liked it, but I knew he would because he chased the water hose all the time. Before you buy water for your dog, make sure he likes it. Missi doesn't like this toy because she loves jumping into the lake.
👤If my yellow Lab were to review the Piepea Brass Valve outdoor dog/Pet water fountain, she would give it ten stars. The edge of the paw print decals started ripping within the first 5 minutes of her playing with the fountain, so my rating is only 4 stars. The package contains different types of connections for different hose arrangements, and the construction of the unit appears to be excellent. The valve handle on two of the included connections can be adjusted to the height of the water column. It took less than 10 minutes to get my lab used to it. She immediately tried to grab the water after I playfully tapped the pedal to shoot water into the air. Getting her to understand that she could cause the water to shoot up took getting her excited so that she accidentally stepped on it a couple of times, and then praising her profusely. She was unstoppable when she made the connection that stepping on the pedal would cause the water to shoot up. My other dog is a Lab/Rottweiler mix that is not afraid of water, but he can either take it or leave it. He was near the fountain when he learned to play, and he voted to leave it. He paid no attention to it, even as a source of water on a hot day. If your dog likes to play in sprinklers or with the water from a hose, this fountain is likely to be a hit. The paw print decals does not hold up to dog nails and begins to rip almost immediately. It's a cool decals, but after a few plays, it has scratches and tears on it. Piepea, my suggestion is that you apply a layer of polyethylene over the decal to toughen it for dog nails.
👤I wanted to love this for my dog. There were cheaper options. Since it would be outside, I chose this one. It came with a cheap plastic splitter that I couldn't use on my spigot, so I went to Home Depot to get a quality metal splitter. The hose they provide is too short, so get it hooked up. It takes half the length of the hose to get the toy to the ground, so it's in the flower beds. Another trip to Home Depot to buy a hose extension. I had to buy more pieces for this dog toy, but I'm almost done with it. I thought it would make up for it once I saw how much my dog loves playing with the hose. He didn't like it and would bark at it when I stepped on it. I gave him a week to get used to it and tried to get him to play with it. I returned it.
It works with garden hoses and faucets. Ready source of fresh water 24/7. The steel nozzle is attached to the outdoor faucet. Shuts off automatically.
👤I have seen people complain about the dog water faucet because it doesn't give their dog enough water and it is due to water pressure that is false. I have a very high pressure coming out of my faucets. This item gave my dogs access to water, but I still didn't feel like there was enough water coming out. I took it apart to see if it had a pressure reducer. It works great now that I removed it. You can either drill a bigger hole or remove the pressure reducer. I took it out completely. I'll give you basic steps to do this. There is no hope for you if you don't understand. If this helped you, please click on the helpful box. I took some time out of my life to give you some helpful information. Have a great day and thank you. 1. The rubber washer needs to be pulled with the screen off. It's hard with big fingers. 2. The water reducer will be removed if the dogs lick the part. That will be a small washer. 3. Everything should be reassembled back. It's good to go.
👤My Lixit arrived. The Lixit was installed on different outdoor spigots and had a steady leak from it when it was not being used. I took mine apart by removing the screen/washer combo. There is a silver washer with a dome and a small hole at the top. There is a silver washer, a black rubber ring washer, and a Lixittrigger below it. The silver dome washer had two stacked up together, instead of the one it should have. I took out one of the washers and put it back together. I tried it again and it works now and it doesn't leak anymore. Will update if it does start leaking again. The other two black washers could not create a proper seal because of the extra silver dome washed.
👤This has been a big change for us. We have two dogs who drink a bowl of water at a time, and then excrete half of it all over our kitchen floor. We wanted to give them an outdoor option since it's hot here in Texas, and also on the chance that they wouldn't drink so much inside. I only had to mop up water once since we installed this. I spent a lot of time researching our outdoor water options. I came to the conclusion that even those that hook up to a power source and recirculate the water will need to be cleaned frequently to avoid problems with algae. I know that is not a realistic scenario for me. I was skeptical about this little guy, but we found a setup that works really well for us, and we got an RV water filter and a good quality splitter. Both dogs prefer this as their primary water source. It's reached 95 degrees here so far, and no problems with it getting hot. The water comes out a little warm in the afternoon, but it's not dangerous.
The dog water fountain comes with extra accessories to offer better shopping experience, such as replacement filters, non-slip silicone mat, and cleaning brushes. The best bang for your buck. Your pet is attracted to circulating drinking water. There is a replacement charcoal filter for clean and pure water. The 60 ounce capacity of the dishwasher is high grade and easy to clean. The spout should be moved to the center so that it's perfectly aligned for smooth flow and less noise. The spout should be moved to the center so that it's perfectly aligned for smooth flow and less noise.
👤The cats liked the bowl and drank from the fountain part as well as the top edges. We did a monthly cleaning of the unit and the housing on a simple basis, because it's easy to take apart and clean the housing and motor. The way the wire is wrapped up inside the housing puts a 90 degree bend in the wire at the motor housing, which makes it two stars. The wire insulation breaks and exposes the wire. We should've caught this wire damage before it got bad, because the wire shouldn't be in such a bind to cause the damage in the first place. We switch out the bowls monthly and both the motors have exposed wires after 2 years of use. Our cats enjoy the bowls so we'll replace the pumps and schedule yearly replacement, anyone purchasing just needs to be aware that this could happen and be sure to inspect the motor and wire during cleaning.
👤Do you want to stop reading long reviews? The pros and cons list will break it down for you. I bought this for my 15 lbs Havanese, but I had to clean it at least twice a week, but at the time it was doing a good job. I researched and found this one, which I think is the best one under $50. I take it apart and clean it every week or two to remove the saliva. It is energy efficient. The pump uses about $0.26 of electricity per month. Adding ice to the fountain is a great way to cool off on a hot day. Replacement filters are easy to prepare and snap in. The design of the pump wiring could be better according to other reviews. I thought I had a faulty unit when I installed it backwards, but as long as you are gentle with it, the molded part should hold up. You will have to watch the water level, as there is no automatic shut-off, and allowing the pump to run while the level is low will wear out the unit very fast.
👤This was a life saver. The cat was admitted to the emergency wing because of a bladder block. He was blocked again after being treated a few days. He was released from the hospital last week and was wearing a double EC/Cone of shame with many stitches. He has to be crated at night to keep him out of harms way. We've barely been able to get him to drink and he's been dehydrated because we haven't been able to get him to eat. I put it in a new spot I never imagined he'd drink, after assembling and cleaning it carefully. He went to the fountain and drank more than he has in the past week. I can't get over how quiet this fountain is. It must have been assembled wrong after someone reviewed it as "noisy". I set the pump on the second lowest setting and made sure to align the pump, top, and bottom as well as press gently to seal it all securely. The bowl is right next to our living room and neither splashes water or makes pump sounds. To hear the pump, I have to turn the tv off and put my ear up. This has already been a lifesaver for a cat that is ill, or a cat that doesn't drink enough. I can't think of a batter design that allows "Basin or Trickle" drinking options, such a quiet motor, and a pretty design. This product has made my nervous Nelly drink more water. I used bottled water to reduce stress on the pump and filters because we have very hard water. I'm hoping it will help keep filters and pump clean, but I don't know if it's necessary. It's even more of an investment that we love and appreciate after several months of use. At one point, we had a motor sound, but only took apart the motor and cleaned the fountain to make sure everything was in order. It's just a matter of staying on top of emptying the fountain and doing a quick 30 second cleaning of the motor as instructed. I bought a back up motor from Amazon for a very low price. I don't think I'll need it. My cat loves it, the filters last a long time, and it's running well. As time goes on, it's been a great investment.
The top is easy to clean. It is dishwasher safe. The cat fountain has a top with a carbon filter and cleaning brushes. Food grade material and a pet fountain are safe for your pets. The pump is whisper quiet. The low-voltage pump lasts 2.5 to 4 years. Light switch on power cords can be used to shut off the light quickly. It is easy to see the water level. The circulating system uses a replaceable round filter to purify the water, remove dirt and food particles, and catch hair and debris. There are 3 different drinking modes for the pet fountain. Pets are encouraged to drink more water from a source of running water. Your pet's hydration helps prevent diseases. The Wonder Creature pet water fountain is set up in a few minutes. It's easy to disassemble for cleaning and maintenance.
👤I've had cats for 35 years, but never bought a fountain. I like to go straight to bad reviews when I read a lot of different reviews. All the fountains had complaints of premature pump motor death. I came to the conclusion that I had to try one at some point. I picked this one because it had a water level sight window and internal light, and it was small enough to fill constantly, but not big enough for the water to get contaminated. So far, it's been good, I only had mine for a week. I was worried about my cats splashing the water out on the floor, but so far that hasn't been an issue. I bought a fountain to increase my cat's water intake. I read that some cats won't go near a fountain, but my cats immediately took to it. They seem to be drinking more frequently and their litter box would confirm this. I'm more than happy to clean their litter boxes if they are consuming more water for the health benefit, because I don't care for having to clean their litter boxes more often. The unit is completely silent and has no sound at all. There was no pump noise, no water noise, and no nothing. I would think the water wasn't working if I couldn't see it. The blue internal light and water level viewing window are very desirable. I used to keep a lamp with a 15 watt light bulb on in their bathroom, but the light in this unit provides more light. I'm happy with the unit so far. It was easy to assemble and clean. I would be hesitant about putting a fountain like this on anything other than concrete or tile, as the cats like to wet their paws with the water and bathe themselves. The water that makes it to my bathroom floor is very small. I'm glad they haven't splashed it out for fun yet. The pump motor is my biggest worry with any of the fountains I've seen. As time goes on, I'll update this review. My cats are satisfied and we all recommend this unit. Fountain is still working well. It seems that my fears of premature pump failure were not true. The motor is cleaned every 3rd to 4th fill up, which is very simple and quick. The cats drink more water from it than they ever did from their bowls. It's been a great product that is easy to maintain and reliable so far.
👤Our cats like it. It's quiet until the water level drops, and I'm glad we bought it. However, be sure to wash it. Not just the reservoir. Take the motor apart and wash it. You should wash it every time you refill it. If you don't clean, slime will build up. Black and clear slime build up underneath the motor. Everything should be cleaned thoroughly! I discovered that the pump's little magnet is hollow and can be poked through it. I had been wondering why the fountain was getting gross so fast. You must clean everything. I use a skinny brush to clean the hollow center of the impeller, but you could also use a pipe cleaner. After cleaning it, I put some bleach in the water and let it sit in the sink for an hour or so to thoroughly kill any germs. Just to be sure, be sure to rinse thoroughly after that, and then rinse a few more times.
60-OZ WATER CAPACITY. The fountain has the perfect amount of water for cats and small dogs. It's perseverance that's fascinating. Bubbling water flow encourages pets to drink more and helps promote good hygiene. A 12 pound cat needs 12 ounces of water per day, so your pet needs 1 ounce of water per pound. The material is high-GRADE STAINLESS. The pet fountain is made with high-quality materials that are scratch resistant. Quiet operation. The soft bubbling water makes pets feel comfortable drinking from the fountain. The design is slanted. The modern fountain design looks great in your home and sits nicely in smaller spaces. It's from every angle. Your pet can drink water from the tower or bowl and your cat can drink from the fountain at any side.
👤The Drinkwell bowl was replaced with this water bowl. It took too long to clean the 360, it became cumbersome and it was nice. There are too many plastic parts. It was ordered last month and it is wonderful. It was very easy to clean. Not many parts. My cats like it. Do not use any of the filters that are sold with it. I bought a pack of filters with a small amount of charcoal inside. Water flow came to a trickle after the filters turned yellow. There is no way that these filters will last a month. This was with foam around the motor that is supposed to catch cat hair. I bought a canister of aquarium charcoal from Amazon and a Reusable Fish Tank Charcoal Filter Bag from Amazon. The mesh bags and charcoal combination worked well and will last at least a week before needing to be cleaned. The mesh bags are not disposable. I don't use the pre-filter because I don't think it's necessary. I have never seen anything caught by it. This water fountain is a 5 out of 5. It is perfect for my cats. Highly recommended.
👤Poor design causes the pump to need constant replacement. The pump has to pump water through a plastic chamber with a filter inside because it is resistant. The pump fails frequently and needs to be replaced every few weeks. The filters cause a mess in the bowl within hours. I have a small chihuahua who doesn't slobber and doesn't drink a lot, so I know the immediate slime build up is not from her. I bought a different pet fountain on Amazon that I like better. Please see my review for that product.
👤This little fountain is quiet, easy to clean, and my cats loved it. Water is replaced daily, the unit is washed out weekly, and we have multiple cats. I have had to return 2 of these in the last few months, as the pump fails after a while. If there was an option to just replace the pump, I would do that. I had to replace the entire device. We've replaced the pump on our own several times since I got the Drinkwell. I don't know what the difference is. The pump is the same as the one in the 360. This was the main reason I chose this as a smaller fountain to add to our home. I will always recommend the 360. I can't do the same thing for the Seaside.
👤I bought this on August 21st, 2020 and will be writing a review on October 6th, 2020. My cat likes drinking from the unit. I had it in less than 2 months. There are spots on the fountain 'cone' section. The water at my house is not corrosive, and I usually put the water in the fountain from a Britta filter pitcher, so the development of rust in a short period of time concerns me, as it seems PetSafe used a very low grade of STAINLESS steel to make this product. Pet safety is not assured by the presence of Rust in water.
Silicone is made of high-quality material. It's safe and healthy. This size is perfect for most small and medium pets. The mat is great for holding things. The raised edge keeps the mess away from the floor. It's easy to clean and dry out in the dishwasher. If you are traveling or just visiting friends with your pet, you can roll this feeding mat and take it with you. Money back or satisfaction?
👤I wanted the raised edge to be high enough to keep my vacuum from pushing the food bowls around, and second, I wanted it to be sturdy enough to keep my robot from pushing the food bowls around. The vacuum cleaner pushes the trays around if I don't attach them to the floor. My cats are very playful with their food bowls, pushing food around and making a mess. This solution doesn't work for the vacuum cleaner and my cats still spill everything around. The edge is too soft and flexible. I would not recommend this item if it was the reason you wanted to purchase it. I changed it to: The mat is definitely not sturdy.
👤The solution for messy animals is perfect. My cat is very picky about his water, if it isn't good enough for him he will splash it all out, destroying my floor. I have two large dogs who splash in the water in my manor. They are doing their job, water contained! I recommend this if you have laminate floors, quarter round, or MDF trim boards, as water will cause it to swell and be damaged when you least expect it.
👤Our dog is dropping food all over the house. I wanted a mat with a higher edge to help contain the mess. This thing is garbage. I can't get it to lie down. The mat is very thin and not rigid like the photos would have you believe. The edge is destroyed. I am going back and forth between this and my search.
👤Won't lie down. This mat was rolled up. It would lay flat if I rolled it the opposite way. I rolled it up for 24 hours and it still didn't lay flat. It's still not flat if you lay it on the floor for 24 hours. It will not lay flat because the edges are curled upward. Garbage. Returning.
👤I was looking for something that would help me fill my medications and not have them on the floor or countertops. I was having issues with my dad filling his weekly pill dispensers and I would find pills on the floor. I was worried that the youngest might find a pill on the floor and eat it, since I have two young granddaughters. I had to find a solution or he would have to fill his own. I ordered the blue and black because they would be easy to see if any pills landed on the mat. I tried pouring the pills out of the bottle at different heights to see if they would fall out. I poured the whole bottle out and there was no pill on the floor. This mat is great for filling the pill dispensers. I bought one for myself to use when I fill my pill dispensers. When my granddaughter plays with her Playmobil toys, it works great. I can think of a lot of times this mat would help. There are tiny screws or batteries for little clocks. There are no more lost items on the floor. I didn't buy this mat to use as a pet bowl mat, but I might buy one for my cat bowls. I would definitely recommend it.
