👤I was so excited to get this because my dog is a big fan of pushing his food bowls around and getting food and water everywhere. I was ready for his reign of terror to be over with this set of bowls, but my journey for a solution is far from over. The cups should be called cups because there is no suction here. I think it's a cute product and the no spill lip is nice on it, but for me, this was an absolute waste of my money.
👤This item is what we needed for our boxer. He is 65 lbs and not a neat eater, he would push his other bowls around and have food everywhere. I love this setup because it's easy to remove the bowls and clean the dish holder mat.
👤I was looking for a bowl that wouldn't spill water. This was not it. The puppy made it a toy in the first 5 minutes. The bowls and cups are not very strong on tile floors.
👤Not impressed. So sad. My dog spills water when she takes off with her bowl. This got me excited. The power of the vacuum is week. I wet them and tried to make them stick, but my puppy still made off with it. One of the bowls was damaged. It isn't a big deal. I was a bit annoyed by spending 27 bucks and having the bottom of one bowl arrive damaged, just to find that this doesn't work at all. Pity. I was going to get a second one for my other dog, but now I will look for other options.
👤Don't buy. My dog ate a 1.5 in x 6 section of the rubber bowl holder and it cost me $250 at the emergency vet clinic.
👤It works as it should, but not everything. The Non-Skid doesn't work well for me on the hardwood floor. The button has six cups on it, but it barely holds its position. My robot vacuum is always pushing it. The non spill function only works for medium or smaller dogs. My German shepherd will always spill water all over the floor, barely any water is caught in the tray.
👤We used to have ceramic bowls for our dog, but they broke and we were looking for a new one. It's easy to clean and sturdy after a few weeks of use. Highly recommend to long-term quality.
👤Two boxers were messy. There is food and water all over the place. The dog bowl set is wonderful, we brought a new boxer puppy home. The new puppy can't put his feet in the water bowl because he's too messy. He is learning not to climb into the bowls. This set is a real kitchen floor saver.

👤I have a Pug puppy who is eating her food while walking and pushing her food on the floor. The dog bowl set is nice. The bowls are stable and the surround is neat. I was not sure if I should buy small or medium. I am very happy that I chose medium. She handles the bowls very well and is only 2# 11oz. We expect her to be a small Pug around 15 lbs when she is fully grown, and I think this size will work for her. Highly recommended.
👤The cats decided to scoot the dog's water dish across the floor was a good idea. The cats couldn't move the bowls around. One of the orange menaces decided to pee on it. The pee stayed in the tray and didn't get on the floor. I was surprised. The tough part is here. If you pick it up it folds up and you have to move the liquid to the floor. I don't recommend this because you'd need to burn your clothes and take a long, hot shower to get rid of the splash zone. Throw the bad boy in hot soapy water and use paper towels to absorb the liquid before running it through the dishwasher. The product was great and received 5 stars. My cats are 0 stars.
👤My golden dog likes to splash her water all over the floor when she steps into her waterbowl. She likes to take her food out of the bowl and eat it on the floor. The bowls hold securely in the silicone, and the large mat with alip keeps the mess off of the floor. The mat is easy to clean. Dog not included.
👤The brand "Active Pets" used terms like spill proof and durable. I thought spill proof and durable would be included. I was wrong. It was a toy. I wish I could return it, but it has been used. It would be better for an animal that doesn't like to play. Maybe a goldfish?
👤It's important to note that the unit is soft and flexible, not stiff. If you have to move the unit while the dishes are full, you can't really pick it up, like when my puppy gets kibble on the floor from the unit and I want to sweep it up, you have to take the bowls out or the unit folds up like a sandwich. I understand that this is a good thing, but I have a tremor and it's almost impossible to move this without creating more of a mess. I would have liked to know that this was hard place mat style, as I might have chosen something more like a hard place mat style dish. I wish the ad had been more forthcoming. Overall, a good purchase.
👤I bought this bowl set to see if it would keep my kitten out of the kitchen. It works well. He was spilling water all over the floor and it was a real problem when I woke up and went for a drink in the kitchen at night. This keeps the water out. He spills a bit and it is contained in the mat. Problem solved.
You can split the barrel and wash it once a week. The use of hot water is forbidden. The Big Bowl can hold up to 1.5 gallons of water and up to 1.5 gallons of food. There are leg extensionions. The Big Bowl has leg extensions that will raise the height of taller pets from 4 to 7 feet. The Big Bowl's high walls, sturdy base, and non-skid feet help reduce spills and keep it from sliding across your floor. The Big Bowl's unique design is both convenient and attractive, as it fits nicely against walls and into corners of your home. There are multiPLE PETS. The Big Bowl is designed to fit multiple pets at the same time.
👤We recently got a bloodhound puppy and he is obsessed with drinking water. We can't keep bowls full for long. I didn't want a gravity feeder, but I wanted something large for him. A 9 year old dog died of liver failure. I've been looking at what we use and give to our dogs. The gravity feeders are a pain to clean and I always wondered if they were clean enough. I found this and ordered it right away. I was worried that it was too small for my large breed and too flimsy for hos to gallop around corners. All fears were eliminated when it arrived and was put down. This thing is very strange. When he drank his first drink, his ears went right into the bowl, but by his second and third drinks, he had figured out how to drink from the corner so that his ears stayed dry. I am looking forward to the bowl being healthier than the large gravity water systems.
👤My puppy wanted to use this item for a water bowl or bed, so I used it as a water bowl.
👤I don't have a dog but I have 3 cats. I needed a raised bowl that was larger than usual cat food bowls, so I bought this trough. I have a cat that is hyperthyroid and he eats a lot more recently. I was always refilling the bowls. The cats would fight for space to eat and this way they could be on different sides and still eat. I no longer have ants wondering around near the cat bowls because the higher sides keep all the crumbs in the bowl. The legs are raised. I bought a cat food stand because my cat needs to eat from a raised platform because of his issues with the colon. There is no more kitty barf. The food stays down. I don't have any dogs but my cats make enough mess for one dog so I wanted to review this item. I love this bowl.
👤My dogs were on an auto waterer. They have stopped drinking from it. They prefer fresh water. I knew the bowl would be perfect. It's great to see them drinking again and not having to worry about the bowl moving. The elevation makes it easy to clean out and it is perfect for them.
👤There is nothing wrong with this item for the people who are complaining about difficulty putting the legs on. Make sure you read the instructions and place the leg correctly, because each leg has an initial F or B engraved on it. If you place the legs in the wrong position, it will not work, but if you install correctly, it is perfect. This is a good quality item, sturdy plastic, and it has a refreshing sky blue color. It's just right for my 2 large cats and 1 chihuahua who all share it, so they have enough water to drink. The larger 2 gallon size is best for larger pets.
A set of 2 dog bowls, designed for small dogs and cats, is included in the dinner set. A full dinner set with food and water can be used. Your pet will love this feeders. You can feed two pets at the same time with double bowls. The base for the bowls is made of food grade silicone and is designed to hold the bowls better and prevent them from tipping. No-Spill Silicone Mat. The raised silicone mat edge can catch most spills and splashes and keep your floor clean and save you time. It's the best choice for your pet's feeding time because it's made of high quality STAINLESS STEEL with a unique Silicone bottom. The stand and bowl are dishwasher safe. The pet food scoop is food safe and can be filled with food.
👤The bowls are smaller than I thought. The seller was great at shipping the item. The scoop is very convenient. I have a small dog. Even though my dog is no longer making a mess with his food, he is still able to move the mat to get our attention because it still slides around on the floor. I put a gift card in the bowl to show the size of the two bowls. I am content with my purchase because I have a dog that doesn't eat much.
👤I got this for our puppy and it works as expected, it's cute. It is easy to wipe up if food or water spills into the tray. After reading reviews, I thought it would be too small, but it is. The bone tray is made of flimsy silicone so you can't carry it with full bowls, but you can rinse and dry it.
👤This bowl is amazing. Rexy is a blind dog. I keep him in this padded area so he doesn't hurt himself. I like to give him food and water. I had bowls that were attached to the pen. He had no water because he kept bumping them. I ordered this thinking it might work. I was surprised by how well it was. The bowls are completely inside the sleeve, unlike the bowls that sit inside the mats. He can change it, but not dump it. I ordered the medium and it seems small but they are very deep. plus for a blind dog! The mat is large enough to catch spills and drips, so his area stays cleaner and drier. I would highly recommend the bowl set. The bowl is in the lower right corner.
👤The black color shows the dirt and dried water stain when you keep the liquid spills inside. My puppy is messy with dry food. Even though she is small, I can see that she is growing very fast. The bowl is large enough to hold a small can of puppy food. I would have liked to have gone with a bigger size and a different color. I thought it held 6 ounces for each bowl. If you are questioning it just go a size up.
👤My 13lb daschund had no problem throwing food all over his room while I was at work because he had this "no spills" non-skid bowl. I don't recommend this product for a dog who tosses his bowl. The seller charges a fee for the return of the product.
👤This is perfect! If you have a puppy or small dog, you should get the medium because it's the perfect size for an adult dog. You will need to size up soon from a puppy. The medium is for puppies and small dogs, and it's dishwasher safe. If you have a boxer, go big or small. I wouldn't let a puppy go all together. It's a great gift. It was packaged well and arrived quickly. Excellent quality.
👤I love this set. The dishes are the perfect size for my toy breed puppy, but the mat is what really sets it apart. spills are kept on the mat and don't spread across the floor because the outer lip curves up. The dishes are easy to get out of. The price is great for what you get. One of those times when the products exceed expectations.
The feeding area is tidy. It prevents damage to the floor. Clean-up time is reduced. There is a tray for spilled water. Slow Feed Bowl is compatible with this.
👤This review is going to help a dog owner save money, but it is also going to help cat owners who were worried about negative reviews about their bowl size. The group may decide to get this instead of getting rid of it. There are no similar feeders on the market at any price point. It's almost as if the company knows that dog owners are limited in the number of options they have. If I were a dog owner, I would be very upset if I read this review after spending double the amount on a dog bowl. The cost difference between a shallow vs a standard silver insert bowl is almost non-existent, so it doesn't justify the huge gap in pricing. Don't read this as accusatory please, I am not going to believe there is a reason for their marketing strategy. I like this feeder, but not as it is shipped. I had everything I needed to get it into proper working order. The function of the product won back the star I removed for ambiguous pricing. One should be warned that the plastic feeder does not look like the image, but it will be great. This is a great unit if you don't have such high expectations on appearance alone. Don't misunderstand me. It looks great. Plastic can look like garbage. This is true on the upper end. I was worried that the bowls would not hold up after reading some comments. If the bowls were not "standard", it would be a problem for this feeder. I didn't want to go through the return process so I read the questions and answer section and noticed that the representative suggested buying the small dog variation. The small dog in red was double the price when I bought it. I found out that the base housing on the variations were the same as the base one. The food capacity of the dog unit was larger. Hmm. How can that be? I realized it was a different size silver insert. I didn't want to have to return it but I was more comfortable with it being hacked so I ordered it. My suspicions were correct. If you are like many pet owners, you already have extra, deeper silver bowls on hand and can use those with this frame. You can find these inserts at Walmart or Dollar stores. If you are buying a dog, buy the cat bowl. The silver bowls that they ship with the cat version are very shallow. I put those in a drawer and used the silver inserts from the bowls I was replacing with this unit. The space underneath this feeder is deep enough to accommodate the deeper bowls, and the size of all of these bowls is universal. The red one was $20 and the dog one was $40 with the only difference being the size of the cheap silver insert. Doing this hack is a no-brainer in that case. When I wrote this review, I saw a tan version of the dog bowl that was cheaper than the red one. If you can live with the tan bowl, it makes sense to buy it. The point is that this hack can work either way, so check out all the colors and prices of the feeder to see if you can save as much as 100%.
A continuous supply of fresh and clean drinking water for your pet dog or cat is provided by recirculating water flow. The large surface area of the pet water fountain adds oxygen to the water. It comes with one triple action filter that is able to absorb odors, collect debris, and absorb tap water. Large dogs, older dogs, and dogs with arthritis, muscle, and joint problems can benefit from an elevated dog bowl. The pet fountain holds 200 ounces. Ensuring that there is an abundant amount of water for several days or multiple dogs.
👤This is the second fountain I've purchased. I looked for a replacement for the first one that stopped working. The replacement was more than the fountain. I bought another one because of that. It sounds silly. I hope they don't fail, I'm giving them another chance. My dogs and cat love it. It holds a lot of water that stays clean and fresh for a week depending on how many pets are drinking from it and how sloppy they are. You have to be careful with what you use. It will make it harder to clean if you use anything that can scratch the plastic. I use a microfiber sponge. Sponges are shredded on the sharp edges. To clean the center where it's hard to get to, cut a sponge into thirds and use them only for cleaning the tight spaces where the bigger sponge doesn't fit. If you use hemostats, you can hold the small sponge. There is an update. There are a few suggestions that may extend the life of your pump. Change or clean your filters frequently. The pump may be damaged if the pump intake gets blocked. Remove the grill, cap and the impeller from the pump when you clean it. There is a hole where the impeller comes out. Reunite the parts of the pump. I use a toothbrush to clean the crevices. Don't let the bowl run dry. This will cause the pump to get hot. If you want to see the filter, take the funnel top off the pump. If necessary, replace the filter. The water should be put on the sides of the filter. Plug the top back in. Oh, and before I forget. It costs less to buy the bundle and value pack separately.
👤I looked online to see if there were larger bowls after refilling his bowl for the fifth time. I thought I would give the Drinkwells a try, but for less than 20 dollars, the value is better. 3x. 1xwk- refill with water. The filters are cheap, the maintenance is low, and filling with water 3 times a week instead of 3-6 times a night is a blessing. My friends love theirs as well and I have recommended them to all of them. Still working like a horse! I love this fountain. I have to fill it up every other day, but my boy loves his water. He likes to put his toy in here. It's still worth it.
👤I bought one of these last summer and loved it, but I always made sure to plug it in when we weren't at home because the plug would get very warm. It worked for a long time and made my dogs happy. The pump stopped working after 6 or 8 months. The unit was still under warranty, so I contacted customer service. I was told to open the pump and clean the impellers to see if it solved the problem. They offered to replace the pump at no charge after I gave them the faulty one. I decided to buy a second one on Amazon because of the low price and the fact that it was quicker. I received it on the 7th. I was happy to see that the plug had been changed and no longer got hot, but the pump didn't work the same as the first one. The 2nd one broke just over 30 days of use. The pump is not working. I loved the bowl when it worked. The new design is worse than the old and it is not reliable. Customer service was responsive, but didn't resolve my problem unless I spent more money and time to get the unit back. I thought I had found the perfect water bowl for my dogs. It didn't work out.
Petmate makes a variety of pet products. Check out their brands such as Aspen Pet, Arm & Hammer, Booda, Chuckit!, and more. The floor is Splash-proof to keep it clean. It is made of sturdy plastic. It's great for travel or home.
👤My cat knocked this bowl on its side. He flipped it upside down and dragged it through the kitchen. The water stayed inside of the bowl as the lid never fell off during his night time assault. I had to glue three floor tiles to the bottom of the bowl because it was too heavy to tip and drag. Everything has been less drenched since then. He tried to establish his dominance over the spill proof bowl, but I think I won. It's a good thing.
👤The plastic bowl is not the best looking bowl, but it works. Two of the cats like water. He drained a quart from a self watering canister within an hour. The water started leaking into the ceiling. The bowl prevents water from going everywhere. I tried to empty the bowl quickly to refill it. I turned the bowl over despite it being half full. When my tuxedo cat eats out of plastic bowls, she doesn't have chinAcne, but this doesn't mean she doesn't have other issues.
👤I was not expecting much from this product, but I had to try it because of the bad reviews. When we leave for the day, my dog won't drink for 8 hours because he will only drink when we are home. He makes a huge mess when we get home, but also swallows a lot of air. The bowl has made a big difference in the amount of water that I have to clean up after the dog. The bad reviews are not true. The bowl is easy to clean and refill. If you use your other hand to hold around the opening of the top and push the bottom away, the two pieces will come apart. Most of the bad reviews are from people who don't know that it can be opened. If your dog picks up their bowl and chews on it, it will spill and pop open. Train your dog. I haven't traveled with it, and probably won't because it's big and hard plastic.
👤It was perfect! It's easy to slip on and off the lid. I held it upside-down and there was no water in it. No more lakes on the kitchen floor! 6 drops is better than a pond, but my beast does dribble a bit from her beard. It fit in my dog holder, she's 80 lbs. The Belgian Shepherd is a dog. I took a picture with a quarter and a ruler.
👤We purchased a bowl in 2004, and have been very happy with it. The quality appears to have dropped. The bowl we received isn't as strong as it could have been. The other pops up if you push down one side. We tried turning the bowl over on the counter to try and get the lid fastened, but it simply wouldn't work. We can make due with a small amount of duct tape. I wouldn't recommend this bowl if you don't want to get wet.
👤Was not very happy with this purchase. It arrived on time, but was smaller than I expected. It was also damaged. The plastic inside had a sharp edge that would have cut my dog's tongue. It was easy to return it because I went online to figure it out. I didn't need to go through the process of returning the product after the company contacted me and said they would refund my purchase. The purchase didn't work out as expected, but the seller and experience was great.
The LumoLeaf Pet Water Bowl has no more messy floors. The Floating Disk and Anti-slip Base can prevent water from splashing. It is easy to clean. The Floating Disk needs to be cleaned. Put it on the upper rack of the dishwasher. Happy pets. No more wet mouths! The dog bowl helps your pet drink less and vomit less. It helps prevent the dust, dirt and pet hair from falling into the water. For home and travel use. The Double Anti Spill design can prevent water from overflowing. Pets can't slide it around because of the anti-slip base. It's perfect for use in RV, SUV, and truck. It is convenient to use. The water will come from the hole when your pet touches the floating disk. If you have a question about their product, please contact them. They are happy to help.
👤The puppy is 13 weeks old. I bought this item because she keeps putting her paws inside her water bowl. This seemed to be a great product to avoid that. My dog was too smart to know that if she kept putting the paw inside, the water would come up. She used some of the parts as a chew toy because she figured if she kept doing that it would flip. Within 20 minutes, the product was destroyed. Not the fault of the manufacturer! The dog was smarter than the designer. Maybe she should be hired to help make a product that won't be used the same way she thought it was intended. The product was great, but not for our puppy. We might buy it again when she grows up.
👤My dad's dog is a messy drinker. I don't think he swallows his last gulp, just fills his mouth up and walks away, leaving a trail of water behind him. I needed a solution to protect my wood floors when my parents were staying with us. I was interested in this bowl because I wanted him to drink slower. If you want to train your dog to drink from the bowl, you have to take all the other water sources away and fill it with water. You can show them there is water by pressing down lightly with your hand. My floors are dry and my dogs have adapted well to this. I blame the dog for the occasional drops on the floor but no longer puddles. 2 labs drink a lot and the size is the only thing I would change.
👤The boy is a drinker and sloppy eater. The food bowl is already off the mat. He gulps and walks away with water pouring out of his mouth. Kibble to another person. That's another story. I was in a forum with another bully owner and he asked the question. This bowl was recommended because of how to stop the water trails. I brought it with me. Next day it arrived. The other 2 dogs used it as well. I still have a regular bowl in case the other two aren't as interested, but I think I'll buy another one. I read the instructions and it's easy to disassemble by snapping out the grey outer rim. It's perfect, there's no more pools of water on the kitchen floor. I have slipped a few times because of that. Dogs love them.
👤I started having an issue with my German Shepherd drinking his water too quickly and then throwing it back up. I wanted to try a floater bowl to slow him down. The new bowl seems to have done the trick after a few weeks. Since we switched, he hasn't puked up water. The bowl is dishwasher safe and easy to disassemble. The bowl can be kept together for refill purposes. My dogs were a little confused at first, but soon figured out how to use the bowl. It holds a good amount of water for my two large dogs, but I have to refill it more often than their old bowl. I have a standard bowl that cats seem to use more often than the bowl that they don't seem to use. The bowl seems to have helped with messy drinking, but that wasn't an issue before. I'm very happy with this purchase and the fact that it has slowed my dogs down.
No more messages. The floating plate on the Road Refresher protects the water base from dust, dirt, and debris. The base has a floating disk on it that controls the amount of water your pet can drink. This function keeps long ears and snouts dry and the area around the bowl clean and clear of drips, splashes and slippery wet surfaces. Slow and Steady: The clean water from the pet bowl is continuously flowing through the floating lick plate. The ideal amount of water for your pet can be found in this slow feeders. It is possible to reduce the risk of choking by regulating the intake of food and drink. The base of the bowl can be secured to any surface with the included fastenings. The no-skid base and no-slopper combination make it the perfect item for use in cars, RV's, boats, and any other outdoor activity. The Road Bowl is a must-have for pet parents because of its playful paws. The extra-large (48oz) dog water bowl is great for multi-dog homes, while the small (20oz) water bowl is great for puppy bowls. The design of the Road Bowl keeps long ears dry and out of the water, which is a benefit for breeds with long ears. The Road Refresher pet bowl is easy to clean, lightweight and heat resistant, and it is finished with smooth rounded edges. It is easy to fill, clean and take on the go. The dishwasher is safe.
👤I bought the Road Refresher No Slobber, No Spill Dog Water Bowl for my puppy to discourage her from splashing in her water bowl and flipping her water bowl over. Her regular Amazon Basics Bowl was a bigger problem than this one. She stuck her paw in the bowl and submerged the floater when she first saw it. She splashed the water out with her paws and pulled the ring off the bowl. She chewed up the rest of the bowl. She put the bowl in the air, flipped it over and dumped the water on the floor. The large bowl held a lot of water. A very old dog may benefit from this bowl. The puppy dismantled the bowl in less than 5 minutes.
👤It was a longshot but we tried it. You will be able to see in the video that it did not work. The mechanism functioned exactly as it was supposed to. It only releases a small amount of water at a time and I think that should prevent drips. It's not enough for my monster. There is a water trail leading from the dish to his bed. Oh well. I guess I am back to the drawing board.
👤I have to praise this product. I have a dog that created a lake after she drank and my husband wouldn't let her water bowl stay in the house. I had to let her in the garage a lot. I researched a few brands and decided to stick with this one. It is easy to fill and works. I fill it up like a regular water bowl, even though the directions say to take the lid off and fill the line. You can see how much water is available by looking at the picture. The dogs have access to more water than the bowl does. This reduces the mess. I will admit that there are times when my dog is thirsty and I find it on the ground, but it is nothing compared to what it used to be. My husband allowed me to move the water bowl back inside. I am happy.
👤After losing our sweet, gentle, quiet 13-year old Lab mix, we decided to welcome another Lab puppy to our home. Our last Lab was a perfect gentleman and walked around the house like Eeyore. The new puppy is crazy. He's just as sweet as sugar. Like most Labs, he is energetic. I work to exercise him so that he's tired and not as energy efficient as we would like him to be. He picked up on training very quickly. He does everything with as much gusto as his body can handle. Including drinking. He's serious about his hydration. He was a water bowl slobberer from the day he was born. I have had dogs my whole life, but I have never had a water bowl slobberer. My luck is over. He tries to dunk his head in the water bowl when he drinks, and if the water bowl is large enough, he'll happily dunk his paws in it as well. I'm pretty sure he's half lab and half fish. The amount of water my dog can hold in his mouth is insane. He always forgets to swallow the last gulp he takes. Always. I have ceramic tile in most of my home. I'm so fed up with my butt being busted almost every 15 minutes because of the invisible trail of water leading from his water bowl to whatever grabbed his attention the second he decided to stop gulping, that I stopped eating. I'm fed up with having 13 towels surrounding his water bowl in all directions, at all times, because he's able to bounce over them like Super Dog. I would rather have a dog that chews up my shoes. I was in need of a solution. The Road Refresher Dog Bowl was entered. It arrived on our doorstep last night. After a long play session, the puppy decided to drink water. Voila. It doesn't stop 100% of the slobber, but it does stop at least part of the slobber. He dripped 3 or 4 drops instead of a half gallon of water. My 13 towels were able to handle it. Same thing this morning. It's good! I would hug the inventor if I could. Thank you so much! It's still awesome after a full day with it. The only problem we have seen so far is that our puppy tries to drag the bowl around the room when it's empty. Thank you for the included velcro.

👤We found mold. When we fill the water jug, we scrub out the bowl with hot water, soap, and sometimes bleach. It is a constant battle. My parents have a dog dish with a jug on top that is basic and easy to clean, but it does not have a ring that hides mold and makes it difficult to clean. If you can find one with a jug on top, look for more of an open dish.
👤The water tank works as you would hope. It has a dark side. It's a great idea for people with a thirsty animal to have a reserve of 4 gallons of water. Until refill time rears its ugly head, all will go well. Attach the plastic stand to the top of the 4 gallon tank and prepare yourself for a mess. For those in a perfect world where water doesn't get on anything as you refill, the struggle is real. I begin to enter the "I'm going to just set this down" phase as I carry the fully topped off water tank in an underslung-cradle-like fashion to the eat/drink area. This is the time when you realize how awkward this is going to be, with no idea of what's going to happen. As I lean over to set it on the ground, the residual water from the refill left on the outside of the tank becomes the slickest object on the planet. As it begins to slip, I try to hold on to the tank, but I realize there is no way to flip this mamouth without pretzeling my arms. I fell to the floor in an attempt to stop the aqua explosion. Water begins to "gravity feed" as the base begins to spin. The 33 lbs of water which has been flipped, now continues with its movement to complete its full flip as the base kicks out from the bottom. A bowl of dog food is now a makeshift missle as the base takes out everything in close proximity, because water still flowing and chaos is unfolding. I regained control of the tank as it settled into its final resting place, like a wet salamander holding a watermelon. I grab the giant bowl of water close by and dump it into the bottom bowl to maximize the time I have between refill. I thank the heavens that I've avoided filling that simple dog bowl 3-4 times a day by using this gravity, as I see water covering the floor, myself, the tank, the dog, and the dogfood which is now strewn all across the floor, as I kneel there in the I would buy again.
👤If you ask me, I'll tell you to get the smaller one even if you have a big dog. I bought the big one because I wanted to not have to change the water so often. Wrong! The clean water that comes down from the tank will most likely get mixed with the dirty water already in the bowl, even though you think there is always clean water coming down from the tank. My dog dropped his food crubs and hair into the bowl part so the new water would mix with the dirty water. I carried this to the sink so that the new water wouldn't be contaminated. If you want to empty the tank quicker, you should get the smaller one since you're going to refill it and empty the dirty water anyways. The big one can get heavy, so just giving my two cents...
The slanted dog bowl has a 15 degree tilted design that makes it easy to empty the food from the bowl, as well as reducing the risk of "bloat" and indigestion. The design of the bowl makes it hard to overflow the edge. Heavy duty stand with non-slip feet is hard to turn over. It's easy to clean, both the stand and bowl are dishwasher safe. The dimensions are for small and medium dogs and cats. 6-19. 5 cup particle Food; the bowl has a diameter of 5 and a depth of 2. The base is 75" and has a diameter of 6 and a height of 4.
👤I hope that this review will help someone who is trying to decide which size to purchase for their small dog. I spent too much time trying to get the perfect size for my three small dogs, so maybe this review will help someone else. I love these bowls. The base is made of plastic, it has some weight to it, and it has non-skid grips that prevent them from sliding around on our hardwood floors. Our dogs are eating. The food bowl is made of a nice steel but it is not heavy. It's perfect for our needs. I wanted to purchase a bowl that would prevent neck issues. While I liked the idea of a raised bowl, I discovered that my dogs had to bend their necks the same way they did while eating from a ground-level bowl. I like the idea of the 15 degree angle bowls, so I decided to go with this brand. I ordered the smalls for our two chihuahuas and the medium for our Japanese Chin. I didn't think the bowls offered enough of a change from their original bowls. I decided to watch our two chihuahuas eat out of our Japanese Chin's medium-sized bowl and felt it was a better fit because it was slightly higher and gave them better body mechanics. While technically the medium would work for the Chin, I realized that he could benefit from a slightly larger bowl for body mechanics and larger head. Chins in Japan have a flat face and large head. The large is perfect for a seven pound dog. He has enough room in the bowl to fit his face in and still has enough space on the sides for extra oxygen so that he can eat his food. The chihuahua #1 is slender and dainty, 8 inches from floor to top of shoulders. It's perfect for her. The chihuahua is 6 pounds, squatty and bulky, and it's from the floor to the top of the shoulder. It's perfect for her. Japanese Chin is 7 pounds, sleek and slender, 9 inches from floor to top of shoulder and has a round, wide, flat-faced head. It's perfect for him. The first couple of times they ate from their bowls, they weren't sure, but they quickly adapted and seem to love their new set-up. Hope this helps!
👤I love this bowl. A dog is very picky. He disliked the flat style dog bowl. It was difficult to find a bowl he liked to eat from until this one was found. He eats from it. It is easy to fill or remove the bowl. I have ordered many of the same bowls for myself and other owners. The picture shows that he is not the only one who likes this bowl. Our monitor lizard likes the fact that food is always directed to one easy to reach spot.
👤This is attractive and nice. It's smart to have rubber grips on the underside. I got a small size for my cat. He's small for an adult cat. The small bowl is too small, and so when my cat tries to get in there to eat his food, the edges of the small bowl are hitting his face, neck, etc., which means that he gets the'smelly moist food' smell. The metal bowl is cheap. When my cat tries to lick up his moist food, which is stuck to the sides of the metal bowl, you can hear the bowl moving a bit, making a "clanging" sound against the sides of the base. I thought this style would make my cat's intake/digestion easier. The base of the bowl is where most of the food would sit. This bowl didn't give me what I was looking for, which was a better dining experience for my cat.
