1. Vastar Harness Adjustable Seatbelt Attenuation

Vastar Harness Adjustable Seatbelt Attenuation

The nylon fabric bungee could protect your dog from sudden brake. Please check your seatbelt's size and compatibility before purchasing, the tab on the clip is 2 cm. If you bought the Vastar Pet Seat that isn't applicable to your car, please contact them. The nylon fabric is made to ensure safety and has extra strength. The seatbelt clip is easy to use. Keep your pet in a vehicle that is secured and allows your dog to sit, stand or lie down.

Brand: Vastar

👤We got in a car accident after using these. The puppy flew after we were rear ended in our truck by a car. I went to the hospital because I hit my head and saw our puppy being stopped by the harness. The highway patrol asked my son if the dog was okay and luckily he was. If we had not used these, he would have been seriously injured.

👤It is definitely worth the purchase. I have a 5 month old Border Collie who likes to jump from the back seat to the front. Then got into the drivers lap. I was looking for a seat belt harness that would keep her in the back and decided to try these out. She tried to get into the front seat but it didn't budge after 20 minutes or so, so she laid down the rest of the road trip. I decided to do a little update after almost having them for a year. The bigger our dog got, these did not work for us. She would step on the buckle and unbuckle herself, allowing herself to jump to the front seat several times. The harness would get loose no matter how many times we tightened it back up. We had to buy a different brand of harnesses because the one we had was not compatible with the seat latch. They worked well with our friends dog, but they just didn't work for us most of the time.

👤I don't know where I would be without this thing. I own a Toyota Camry. I was worried about this fitting because of some of the other reviews, but it fits great. My dog likes to sit in someone's lap when we're in the car, but that also applies to the driver. He can still move around in the back. He's much safer than he would be in the front, and definitely safer than he was in someone's lap. It seems like if I have it tight it doesn't stay that way for me. I usually have to retighten it after a couple of car rides so that he can't get up to the front.

👤We put a vest on our dog to keep him from moving around in the vehicle. He is kept safe from being thrown over the seat in the event of a sudden stop. He can't jump out when the door is open. He can get into a comfortable position with the strap length. Every vehicle has one.

👤I put one in my car. The seatbelt receptacle is in the rear seat. I think it would be great if the tether was shortened a bit more, as my dog can still get its head onto my shoulder when I'm in the driver's seat. The 2002 subaru is smaller than most cars. I haven't tried the other tether in my cab. I think the dog won't be as easy to reach in that vehicle. I think so.

👤It was a good product but not a good one to secure a dog. It only fit into one of my back seat belts, and did not fit into the front at all. The dog can pull into the front seat because it is elastic. The dog can get into the front seat if it's not tightened. The dog would end up in the back of the seats or in the front of the car if I stopped short.

2. Mighty Paw Dog Seat Belt

Mighty Paw Dog Seat Belt

Is your dog a chewer? No problem! The dog seat belt is made from braided steel wire. It's made of 5 bundles of wires, so it won't fall prey to the most avid of chewers or teething puppies. You won't worry about your dog gnawing his way out. Their dog seat belt is built into the frame of your car, so it keeps your dog safe. The vehicle seat crease is like a child's car seat and has connection points that will keep your pet safe during road trips. The pet seat belt is easy to use and attach to your dog's harness. It doesn't have to be a car seat. You can leave it connected to the LATCH anchor in between uses. Dog in place will prevent your dog from being a distraction while you are driving. Their dog seat belts are not unbuckled by the dog stepping on the release button. Their safety belt is tangle-free and lightweight. It can handle up to 850 lbs of force. Is your dog moving? The included piece will keep your dog untangled during car trips.

Brand: Mighty Paw

👤I like this seat belt. I went by the reviews when I decided on the size. My dog is 140#, so I thought I would get the long one. It's too long. I had to slam on my brakes and this harness was tested. The poor dog ended up between the front and back seats. I wish the belt was shorter because I fixed him. He wouldn't have ended up there. It does what it was designed to do. To get the right length to where you'd be hooking up your pup, I recommend you measure first.

👤I think I'll need to exchange my product for a larger one because it seems like a great quality product. I found out that the hook I was supposed to use was too far back and that the rest of the cable was too short to be practical. I lost half my length running through the seat because my latch bars were further down and behind the seat than the illustrations showed.

👤The cord is tight around my dog's leg. If I hit the brakes hard, I'm afraid of what will happen. I will never use this again. I went back to my nylon leash.

👤My dogs have always been loose in the back of the SUV, even though I know many people recommend using a crate. If I didn't strap him down he would be all over the place. If there should be an accident, I decided it is safer. The harness and clip fit perfectly in the back of the car, as well as the harness attaching to it. I have a lot of attachment sites that he can use, but he can't hit the ceiling or go over the seat if we were to flip. We're all safe that way. There are some marks on the cord, as he wants to get loose, but it has not given him a chance. He stopped biting it. It's a good recommendation!

👤My two dogs have chewed through all nylon straps and seat belts. I like that it uses a latch system instead of the seatbelt clip in, and it is very secure. I have two small dogs, one is 10 lbs and the other is 7 lbs. I ordered the medium because I wanted them to have enough length to lay down and stick their head out the window. I will be returning the medium because it is too short and doesn't give them enough length to smell out the window. I ordered the larges for them and they are perfect.

👤I bought the car dog harness and the cable leash from the store today and I love it. I've been trying to find a solution to secure my dog for 1.5 years. My dog knows how to click out of the leash version that secures into the seat belt by the second car ride. My dog clicked out when I let her ride in the back after every car ride. I put a car seat cover on my car to protect it from the sand and mud that my dog would track after a visit to the dog park. A lot of sand and dirt would get through the opening of the seat cover if the car seat leash was run through it. My dog riding loose in the back made me uneasy as I know from experience that in an accident things can happen quickly and people can become missiles. I finally saw the leash combo on Amazon. The combination of the longest cable leash with the harness allowed me to keep my dog on the leash in the back of the car. The longer cable allows my small-medium dog to lie down while being anchored to the rear child seat anchor. My dog's harness/leash buckle was placed lower on the back to make it easier to hold her across her chest. I wish the plastic buckles were made of metal like the d-ring and the ring behind the neck. I plan to use the harness as my dog's regular harness. I am at ease now that I have my dog in the car for a reasonable price.

3. PAWBEE Car Dog Seat Belt

Brand: Pawbee

👤I own a pitbull and an American bulldog mix. They like riding in the car with me. My pit likes to jump at cars and try to break their windows to get at them. I need these seatbelts because my big boy loves to sit in the front seat and lean his face on my dashboard. My boy responded well to it. My pittie, who is an escape artist, figured out how to get the seat belt off by pressing the button. I snapped it back into the seat belt area and it worked. I love having seat belts. The seatbelts are attached to the bottom or top of the harnesses, so they can stand up, seat down, or lay down. They stand up so they can put their heads out of the window. The seatbelts are good because when I get back to the car with groceries, I can lift the trunk and they won't run away. They're great! I'm happy I bought them.

👤I have three chihuahuas, two of which like to "roam" in the backseat when we travel, one likes to end up under the hammock set up to cover the back seat and the other likes to lunge in to the front while I'm driving which is not ok. I wanted the boys to be in their spots. The length is too long. I was hoping that changing the length would keep them in the backseat, where they are clipped in. I would like this to give them a chance to see out the window, but they have to be where they are sitting. I would recommend.

👤The dog is riding in the front seat and I use these to stop the seatbelt light. The pros are easy to use and adjust. When you open the door, the dog is kept in the vehicle. For a low price, two each. The seatbelt buckle is thinner than an actual seatbelt which makes it look cheap. The straps can be loosened when your dog moves around. I don't think it would work for a large dog. They are not chew proof and you should keep an eye on your dog to prevent them from chewing on them.

👤This is a quick restraint for restraining a dog in the back seat. The locks are tight. You can use one or two, but you need the two straps in the package. My dog is 40 lbs and she is tethered using two straps, one in each clip receiver. With her harness on her right and left, she is able to sit in the middle and still be able to sit up or lay down in the back seat. There is a Attach the seat belt to the dog's harness. Attach it to the dog collar.

👤We needed something that would allow us to keep our puppy in the back but still allow him some movement, since he was able to jump from the back seat into the front. The seat belt does its job. You get two so we can put one in each car. He can still reach the front center console with his paws, even when shortened all the way.

4. VERSALES Seatbelt Adjustable Reflective American

VERSALES Seatbelt Adjustable Reflective American

Brand: Versales

👤Our boxer puppy is 11 weeks old and it is a little long. While still attached to his chair, he flipped backwards out of it onto the floor. He was very frightened and luckily he was not hurt. I don't think it's a good idea for young puppies or small dog breeds, but it will be great once he's a bigger dog. It seems like a good quality.

👤It's a good idea to keep the dog safe with plenty or room to move comfortably but not fall off the seat.

👤Good quality materials. It works well to keep my dog restrained when traveling by vehicle. She was kept calm while the vehicle was in motion. Even though it's thin, the fabric is strong enough to restrain her. If in a collision or accident you should use a harness instead of a dog collar.

👤Our dog is in her seat. Hopefully they will hold up for a while.

👤Excellent at keeping the dogs safe.

👤I use these to keep my dogs safe.

👤I love my seat belt. My mom takes me for rides and it keeps me safe. Love it, love it, love it.

👤I used it to keep my puppy safe in his spot in my truck since he refuses to go in a kennel in the truck which I don't blame him. He can move around safely and enjoy his time, and I can focus on driving, knowing he is secure.

Brand: Petsafe

👤This was the fourth solution that I tried to use to make it easier for my puppy to learn to ride in the car, since I started taking him for rides at about 11 weeks old. The only solution that worked was this one and it proved to be completely successful. My puppy went from being wobbly and uncomfortable to being able to ride comfortably, alternating between lying down, sitting with balance, and looking through the cracked window in only two rides over 24 hours, without requiring any treats for behaving as expected. She is 18 weeks old and is happily riding in the back seat. One of the things that I was frustrated with when I had a new puppy at home was the lack of product. I used to stress that she would never learn to feel hopeful and satisfied that this was one less skill that required time and training. I was able to transition to rides with her alone because I had a second rider to watch. It made me feel confident that my puppy was safe and that I could focus on driving safely without having to look67531 at her constantly. She likes treats and still demands them.

👤The PetSafe Happy Ride Dog Zipline is a great way to keep my dog safe. It's very easy to install and it's out of the way. She can walk back and forth to each window. I bought two more for our cars.

👤Thank goodness! Mycollie mix likes to stand on the back seat and console between the front seats to watch out the window. This product was made for her. It's no longer possible to slip off the console. She never gets in a tangle. The ceiling clamps made for securing child seats are perfect for attaching the two hooks. Love. This product is amazing. Only use this with a harness on your dog.

👤I have 2 dogs and it is easy to use. I have to come up with something new. I tried hooking it to the seat belt, but it didn't work out. I have no handles in my trunk. I ordered 2 of the hooks for the dogs that are on the bottom of the seats, since I will mainly be the trunk space. I had one dog get tangled with the other dogs hook, so far it has worked. I don't know if this will work for both dogs, the handles in the back seat are too long, and I don't mind if my dogs are sitting. If I wanted them to be comfortable, they need to be able to lay down the leash for a bit longer. It works great if you keep your pups in the back seat.

👤My dog hates being confined, but she doesn't hate car rides. She couldn't stick her head out the window because her seat belt wouldn't give her enough room. When I first saw this, I loved the idea, but I don't have handles in my back seat, and my dog is small. I was worried that she would need a lot of slack to see out the window. I saw a photo of the line tethered between the headrests and it was a game-changing moment. It's much lower, which is great for her, and it's infinitely more secure than the little hooks. We've been using it for a couple weeks and she loves it. I don't end up with my escape artist unbuckling herself and sitting in the front because she now can run from side to side sticking her head out the window. It's a win-win for everyone.

6. IOKHEIRA Adjustable Durable Vehicle Seatbelt

IOKHEIRA Adjustable Durable Vehicle Seatbelt

The multi-functional seat has a dog seat belt with two different types of car buckles, one of which can be attached to the seatbelt, and the other metal hook latch for connecting the child safety seat and the car trunk. You have the option to choose the connection location. The dog car seat belt is suitable for front seat, back seat and trunk. The car pet safety belt car tether is made of sturdy nylon fabric, high elastic bandage and zinc alloy carabiner. It has the best strength and longevity, which can help to reduce the risk of large pet dog bite. Brand: Iokheira

👤My Heeler/Border Collie mix is firmly in the back seat. The dual connection option and retention elastic allow you to keep the connection you're not using out of your way. Even against my ultimate chewer, the casing seems to be chew proof. We pulled over to check the condition of the connection after I noticed him eating and licking away. Even though it was wet, everything was in perfect working order. The sliding lock on the carabiner is genius and does not budge even with his pacing.

👤This is exactly what I was looking for, and likely what you are as well. This is perfect for any dog under 50 lbs, it is a vehicle crash restraint in concert with a good chest harness that incorperates a metal D-Ring. The model with the stronger aluminum caribiner should be fine for large breed dogs, but I wouldn't recommend it for them. If you go to the model with the Aluminium construction you have a significantly stronger connection because of the single connection point to the harness and Zinc carabiner. I would look for a multipoint harness for a heavy breed. In a head-on collision situation, this would definitely restrain them as far as possible to keep them from leaving the scene under their own power. The same company makes a model that has an aircraft carabiner. The strength of Zinc is less than that of Aluminium. The table below shows the difference that would be in favor of the other party in a collision. The mechanical properties of zinc are shown. ... There are mechanical properties. This product has the following properties: Imperial Tensile strength of 37 MPa, 5370 psi, aluminum, and 6061-T651, and English Ultimate Tensile strength of 45000 psi. It's small enough to fit in the pocket of my backpack. If you would like to keep it in a seat pocket or a glove box, it came with a faux silk bag. It will connect to either a standard Seat Belt connection or an integral child saftey restraint point that are located in the back of many rear seats in modern vehicles. This allows you to anchor your pet so they don't get hurt. It has a spring loaded effect to absorb forward energy from a sudden stop or from your pet trying to pull against it and is adjust lengthible in the same way as a backpack strap. I haven't tried to cut it with a knife, but it seems very sturdy and has something like a kevalar stretch core similar to a tow rope in it, that allows it to absorb some of the force. The seat end is stamped steel and the harness end is either zinc alloy or aircraft aluminum carabiner, depending on the model you purchase. I will return the one I bought and buy another one with the carabiner. I recommend you purchase the other model as well.

👤A lot of thought went into the product. The seat belt wouldn't work in any of the 23 trucks, cars, motor home or trailers we tried. It wouldn't hook on to the metal post on the headrest or anything else that would have been secure. This product was useless because the hook part was not long enough. To bad.

7. Dog Seat Belt Carabiner Adjustable

Dog Seat Belt Carabiner Adjustable

We recommend that you use a dog car harness when driving with your dog. Ensure the safety of you and your dog by keeping your dog in position. The dog seat belt can be plugged into the seat belt slot with the seat belt buckle or attached to the car trunk with the latch hook. Good toughness and elasticity can be found in the anti shock buffer design. It can help reduce impact force and protect your dog. The enhanced carabiner has dual switch design. It is very strong and durable. Large dogs have a maximum tension of 550 pounds. It can be adjusted from 28.6 in to 47.2 in, suitable for dogs of all sizes.

Brand: Swauswauk

👤The carabiner broke on the first outing.

👤It's a good idea to make sure the dog stays in the back of the Jeep. It's necessary to clip the seatbelt to the dog. It has elasticity to allow for hard stops.

👤I had a seatbelt that was attached to my dog's harness, but it was shorter and not as heavy duty. This one has been great. I was expecting the carabiner to be twist and lock rather than just moving the catch up to prevent the carabiner from opening, but I'm not worried about that.

👤It does what it says. You clip into your seat belt holder with bungee and rigid lead. The dog can get over the seats, but not long. The dog doesn't get a leg caught up if the clip that goes onto the harness rotates. Very happy with it.

👤The lead is sturdy and easy to use.

👤Entre los anteriores, el cinturn para mi perro ya, se ha decidido. The pena por ms is flexible and resistente.

👤Da bei uns der normale Gurt ist, ist ihn. Is ist super robust. I am empfehlen.

8. Dog Seat Belt Pet Safety

Dog Seat Belt Pet Safety

Protect and restrain your pet during bumpy car rides and keep them safe with a Pet seat belt leash strap that can be clipped into most car's seat belt clips. It is easy to use these. Attach the clip to your pet's harness by attaching the leashes into your seatbelt slot. The leashes fit most cars, trucks and SUVs with a universal clip design. The length of each strap can be adjusted from 20 to 32. Quality material. The best seat belts are made with nylon straps and zinc alloy buckles. You can easily adjust to your length. People and pets are pleasers. Their goal is to design premium quality pet supplies that make life easier and more comfortable for pets and their families.

Brand: Duke Dixie Pet + People Pleasers

👤Two older dogs are no longer active like a pup. They have always been allowed to roam in the back of the SUV. A dog is shown in a video being thrown by a car that has a sudden stop. We did a trial run after purchasing these. The dogs are 81 pounds. They were firmly snapped in with the seatbelt. They sat up and seemed happy. We drove less than 10 feet and the dogs didn't move. We will pass the seatbelts on to our daughter because she has small dogs. I would recommend these for a small dog and not a dog the size of a Lab, because you get what you pay for.

👤When the car door opens, my dog charges it. The escape artist has gotten out despite our best efforts. She is safe in the car and we can open the door to load groceries with confidence because we have kept her safe. We use a harness with the leash to add safety. This product is very good.

👤My boyfriend left our dog's last seat belt in a rental car and I was going to buy her a new one. I bought the 2pack because I found this seat belt when I was comparing it and it looked good and a good price. I'm very happy I did. The amount for two made sense, they came quickly and are very good quality. You can make it as long or as short as you please. I would definitely recommend this product.

👤I bought a Pug Life harness for our dog, a golden retriever, several months ago. It has been easy to put on and take off, with a handle on the dog's back, that lets us know we have him when he gets into our Excursion. A couple of weeks ago, I had to hit the brakes on my car to avoid hitting a car that pulled out in front of me from a parking deck, as my son was riding in the back seat. The rest of the ride was spent on the floor. I got the seat belts for my car and my husband's car. One end clips into the seat belt receptacle while the other is attached to the ring on the back of the harness. Since the strap is adjusted so he can sit up and look out the window, he's fine with it. Our boy won't be hitting the floor again.

👤These are easy to use and can be adjusted to fit any size dog or car. I watched a dog jump out of an SUV window and get dragged by his neck before his humans noticed. I went online to find a way to make sure this doesn't happen to my dog. These tethers clip into the female end of the seatbelt and the other clips onto the dog's harness. I don't recommend it with a collar as it can come off and cause injury to your pet if there is an accident. My dog is over 80 pounds and is a 5 month old Cane Corso. I don't have that problem with these in my car because they don't stay clipped for big dogs. The seatbelts in your car should not have worn out. Nothing will stay clipped if that happens.

9. Bwogue Restraint Adjustable Restraints Seatbelts

Bwogue Restraint Adjustable Restraints Seatbelts

High quality. The pet car seat belt is made of high quality nylon fabric to ensure safety, it has a solid zinc alloy snap and quality buckles, and it provides a most relaxing driving experience for you. The length is adjusted. Dogs come in different weights and sizes. The Bwogue Headrest Restraint can be adjusted to fit your dog's length. CONVENIENT: The nylon straps are tangle-free and easy to attach to the vehicle's headrests. It is the perfect leash for your vehicle because it is easy to remove the safety strap. Their leash can be used for car and can also be converted to a traditional hand-held leash whenever you need it. Pets can be secured to a tree or other strong post to keep them safe when you need them. Keep an eye on it. Do not attach the seat belt to the collar of your pet. The seat belt leash with pet harness is more secure for your pets than the pet collar.

Brand: Bwogue

👤I've never done a review before, but I needed to do one today as my french bulldog fell out of our car window on the freeway and I was driving at 60mph. He was hanging on this seatbelt completely outside of the car with his harness, and I was able to pull him back in while driving, which was great because he was hanging on this seat belt for 30 lbs. This product is a constant source of gratitude for me. Highly recommended. I feel very lucky that I have this product and that I didn't have to use it many times. I am happy I did. Thank you so much for the product.

👤I wanted to like it. It is what I was looking for. However... After 2 days, the clip broke. It broke when we were parked. My dog tried to jump out of the car. We were parked and the door was open. He jumped, and it gave way very quickly. I think it broke too easily. I can't imagine what would have happened if he tried that with the window open. Please don't buy this if you care about your dog. If it had broken under different circumstances, it would have been terrible.

👤The Good Pet Stuff Traveling Dog Seat came with a strap that I didn't know how to use. The strap I bought works perfectly with my new dog seat. If I have an accident or have to brake suddenly he is safe with his harness attached.

👤I needed something that wouldn't make my German Shepherd uncomfortable in the back seat, and this product did just that. She is a giant and would not like to sit on that and would often un-clip it with her paws. It's not fun having a dog in your back seat and having to find a place to park. It was a no-brainer when I saw the restraints that connected to the head rest. What a change since I put my dog in that. It's easier to un-clip when you're ready to leave the car. The price is very affordable and it makes road trips simpler. I clip it to her harness on the back. It's just common sense.

👤We had this for 4 months and our dog broke it. The plastic part snapped when she pulled it. I don't recommend this for a large dog or dog that pulls on it a lot. My dog jumped out of the window while we were driving. I never thought that it would happen to me, and it wasn't like her window was all the way down. She had a few injuries, including a small patch of road rash that was 888-282-0465. It could have been a lot worse, with her being run over by my car, another car or hurt so badly that she had to be put down. I found doggy seatbelts when I was online. I didn't want one that latched into the seatbelt because I read many reviews about it coming undone or the animal stepping on it and unlatches themselves, and I didn't want to take that chance. This product is perfect for people who don't want to use the same seat belts for different things. My dog doesn't mind that we use this on her. The middle headrest in our cars does not have the metal rods that are on the other side, so we put it on the other side for her to go to either window. I didn't want the plastic clip at the top rubbing against metal. She has pulled a few times when she is trying to sniff someone at a drive-through window or when we are handed food but she learns she can only go so far. We adjusted ours because she is large and we wanted it short enough that she can stand up and sniff the window, but if she tried to jump she couldn't go anywhere, and the window is usually only rolled halfway or if no one is watching her. The price is great and it comes with two. The strap that slides up and down has been sturdy so far. I don't recommend this as something you use in case of an auto accident because they are not meant for that. They are meant to keep your dog out of the car.

Brand: Kurgo

👤I bought 2 for each dog. I wanted them to be in the car when we traveled between NJ and FL. One of the first things I liked was the fact that when we stopped at a rest area, the dogs were secured in the car until we freed them. When we opened the door and took off, there was no concern about them getting out. Air bags did not go off, but seatbelts were locked, as we were hit from behind in a fairly minor accident. The dogs were fine. When I mentioned the accident, I was told that the company's policy is to replace a harness that has been worn during an accident for free. The company is sending me new harnesses and seat belt tethers for free. For a small fee, they will replace a harness that a dog chewed. I am very happy with this harness and also with this company.

👤The advertising was very disappointing. The harnesses were not crash tested. They failed the initial strength test. A lot of research was done to find out. I bought 5 of these for my dogs. It's only useful as a walking harness. I should have done more research. The results can be found at Consumerreports.org.

👤I bought this to keep my dog safe. I didn't plan on using it for short trips around town. We were t-boned by a car that was going very fast. My dog was buckled into the backseat. We were hit very hard. She would have hit the passenger door if she hadn't been buckled in. She could've been hurt badly. She was just as excited to go on the next car ride as she had been before. I will not take my dog in the car without him. Ever.

👤If you have a traditional dog, this is a great product. If you have a greyhound or an Italian greyhound, this probably won't work. I reached out to the company before buying. They told me what size to order after I gave them the measurements. I was concerned about the harness fitting with their deep chests, but I was reassured that they would be fine. I bought 2 of them. They don't fit. They ride up on their backs. They have it on top of their chests. They are a great harness, but not for every dog. Despite my best efforts, I'm out of money on two harnesses. I begged them to be honest with me if their harness wouldn't work, as these breeds are hard to fit properly. I was willing to pay for something that would work. They were more interested in making a sale than in integrity.

👤I have a dog. I keep my car nice and cool with the A/C running and I haven't had any issues with the metal clasps getting hot in the sun. The clasps are easy to use once you get the hang of it, and there is a small learning curve for your first 3-4 rides. I like knowing that he's safe. I slammed the brakes once while driving because of a car in front of me stopping quickly, but I was protected by wearing this. He would have hit the dashboard. He hung "mid air" over the seat after slipping off the seat. I had to pull him back up and he looked at me in disbelief. He wasn't very happy about it, but he was still safe.

Brand: Bwogue

👤I like this. I just adopted a dog. He wants to be on my lap all the time. We have a system because this isn't safe when I drive. He is in the backseat. I put his harness on and connected it to his seat belt. This keeps him in the backseat. It keeps him safe from sudden stops. A truck in oncoming traffic decided last week that he was going to pass on the old 2 lane highway. He was going straight for me because I was in my lane. I didn't have a place to go. He was able to get back on his side of the road after I slammed on my brakes. Murphy was safe and secure in his seat because he had his harness and belt on. Don't put this to your dog's collar. Always use some type of intuition.

👤Every few weeks, I take the drive up to our cabin with my three chihuahuas. When I stop for gas or take them out of the car for a rest stop, I always worry about one of them jumping out of the car. They've always been good dogs, but I wanted that extra insurance that they'd stay. I had to jam on the brakes and my little guys went flying around in the back and that was the final straw, I couldn't have anything happen to them. I decided on the over the head and clip into the seatbelt clips because I can use them as leashes when we stop. I'm happy with how they work, but I'm still trying to find the right way to get them under their legs. I think it's more a matter of the dogs getting settled in their beds, which is one of the reasons these restrains work well, they don't require me to move the beds around to clip them into the seatbelt. These are endorsed by Tucker, Murphy and Ladybug.

👤My dog is so small that the seatbelts in the pet stores weigh more than she does. I have a soft harness that I attach the restraint to. My dog can sit or lay down. If I have a passenger, I just slide it to the back side of the seat. I put the seatbelt through it.

👤I like the concept but it's not worth it in practice. My dog hung himself after he got all tangled up in it. He was able to step over it multiple times even after it was adjusted to the shortest possible length. My dog panicked when he got tangled up in it and tried to chew his way out of it, but he chewed it in half in no time! This is a death trap for both humans and your dog. This incident happened on the freeway. I tried to pullover on the freeway in traffic and cause an accident with my dog in the back seat, but he freaked out and started flopping all around in the backseat. He had chewed it in half by the time I got to him. He was hanging because that did not free him. I don't think this product should be allowed to be sold in the USA.
