👤I bought a ramp for a dog. The ramp was difficult to open. I had to use my foot to get it to shut. It was difficult to close. It was slippery for my dog, who almost hurt himself when his feet went out from under him coming down the ramp. He was traumatised for sure.

👤This ramp is great. They are too large to fit in the back of my SUV with my dogs. This one folds in quarters and is easy to carry. It takes a bit of pressure to open and close but I think that will loosen up over time. I get dogs of all shapes and sizes in and out of my car when I work at an animal shelter.

👤My dog tried to walk up it for the first time. Completely useless. Any incline makes the plastic useless. I have to either accept the fact that I wasted my money or attach something for traction.

👤It took a bit of persuading, but it worked great to help my senior beagle get out of the car with a slipped disk issue. It folds into a small package with a handle. I had trouble closing it all the way because it opened up easily. I'm new to working with this and don't think that's a big ongoing issue. I'm happy it works for the pup.

👤I can use it in my SUV or my husband can use it in his truck because it folds up smaller than most ramps. It's easy to swap between vehicles.

👤I was worried that the ramp would slip from my truck tailgate. Training is needed for the pups to use it. The SUV looks good.

👤All three of my dogs would not use the plastic. My young border collie had a hard time walking up. My older lab could not use it. Not big enough for a 50lb dog. I sold it to someone with a dachshund, who told me their dog would slip on.

👤The money is wasted. cheap dogs hate it

2. Niubya Foldable Aluminum Lightweight Supports

Niubya Foldable Aluminum Lightweight Supports

The dog ladder is more stable and the cost of the product is higher, but it gives pets a sense of security because the bottom is stable. The stairs for dogs can be folded down to a small box of 17” x 13” x 6” It can be used indoors and outdoors with a handle. Just wipe down with a soapy towel. Avoid injury and get in the car. The dog steps have carabiners for securing the stairs to the back of your vehicle, and the bottom foot for stabilizing the steps, which provide more protection for your dog. Protect their knee from injury is the best gift for their pets. The height and angle of the tall pet stairs are adjusted. The measurement is 17 x 13 Please make sure the side door openings are large enough to fit the dog ramp. The effective incline of this option depends on the actual height of the car's rear bumper, the number of steps chosen, and the variation or number of steps chosen. If you want to enter the back seat side, make sure the door opening clearance is greater than 17.

Brand: Niubya

👤I thought I'd give these steps a try because my dogs wouldn't use the ramp type products. My dog walked into the back of my SUV after a minute of direction. The best I've seen. It folds up into a cube with carry straps and is very sturdy. It takes less space than the ramps. This product is very good. Picking them up is not an option because I have three 120-150 lbs Great Pyrenees.

👤You can buy a different one. The build is terrible. It broke under the weight of my lab. He is afraid of the stairs because they broke under his weight.

👤We thought these would be more aggressive. When a dog climbs them, they bounce and wiggle a lot. The platforms are made of cardboard and wrapped in trash tarp fabric, but they don't extend the width of each step, and are only supported by nylon and thread. The paw traction isn't providing any traction. Dogs won't feel comfortable climbing this. All of the 50 pound dogs seemed uneasy and alarmed. I'm sure they'll get used to it, but it just doesn't seem stable. It wouldn't be a good idea for a large dog like a mastiff. No way! We received stairs with HeeYoo branded on them, not Nubiuya.

👤I have a German Shepherd who is almost blind but happy. He loves to go by but can't jump into my car. This was a miracle. I have to guide him at first and make sure he doesn't fall off the other side, but he trusts me so he hesitantly steps up. He wasn't sure at first, but he is more confident every time we use it. I got the Six step model and it fits my car perfectly. I love it! The service was great. If I could, I would give it ten stars. The ramps are terrible. You will need to help your dog get used to them. I put his paw on the ground and he thought a moment, then I placed the other paw and he was off. If you have an elderly or small dog, it is a great product and the service is the same.

👤I own a pick up. It works if you angle it to get it steady for the back seat. I don't mean minutes to be steady. I know how to angle it after I got it to where it works. It is the first few times that it has been used. The stairs are great. I have a big dog that is dying and he uses the stairs easily. He can use these steps easily because his hind end is weak. I needed something to fold up and travel with, but my vet said the ramp would be better for him. The ramps did not collapse into a small enough space for me. I took a chance with the stairs and they work. I think I would make it with a low pile carpet or something similar, since the material on the stair surface is slippery. There are no complaints that my dog is injured or anything like that. I got it to unfold and fold up. I can hold this with one hand.

3. Traction Wooden Adjustable Non Slip Surface

Traction Wooden Adjustable Non Slip Surface

We want to make it easier for your dog to feel comfortable and confident taking their new ramp, so they have included a detailed dog training manual and dog training clicker to support active learning. The pet ramp can be adjusted to 16 inches and 12 inches, and the total length is 28.6 inches. The dog ramp is made of quality wood, the anti-slip pad is made of polypropylene fiber, and the high traction surface makes the pet feel at ease. The pet ramp is lightweight and can be folded in half to fit into a vehicle or storage room. The portable pet ramp can be folded into a flat shape so it can be easily stored in a car, sofa or bed without taking up too much space. The pet bed ramp can be painted or colored to match your home décor.

Brand: Jetec

👤The customer asked if the heights shown in the picture were the same as the description. Which is it? I hope the pictures clarify the product details. The ramp can be adjusted to different heights. The heights of the top of the ramp at each of the 4 settings are given in the product details. I don't see how giving the dimensions in the picture is important. Please see my last picture if you want to know the height of the points up the ramp. I bought this ramp to help my dog get on the back seat of my car, he has arthritis in his hips. The ramp needs to be on its highest setting. The ramp is steep on this setting, and he struggles to get up it. I don't think this product is appropriate for outdoor use. The frame is made of cheap pine and I don't think it will last long in the mud and the puddles at the dog park.

👤My dogs wouldn't use it at first. They couldn't crawl up or down on the couch. They need all the help they can get. It was difficult on their joints to jump down. They both love using it to go up and down the couch.

👤Don't buy. The ramp broke in less than a week. Contacted seller. There was no response.

👤After recovering from surgery, my dog used it first thing. Thank you.

👤This item was easy to install and stable for the pups.

👤My dog cannot get enough traction to go up the ramp. I don't recommend if you have a small breed.

👤The ramp is decent, but the rug is slippery. The rug would be perfect if it had more traction.

4. AmazonBasics Tri Fold Plastic Pet Ramp

AmazonBasics Tri Fold Plastic Pet Ramp

Pets can access hard-to-reach places with the help of a pet ramp. Universal grip works with any car, SUV, truck, or edge to ensure a stay-in-place platform for all four paws. A simple set-up is required for the tri-fold design. The grip is made of PP plastic. It's easy to store and carry and wipes are clean with a damp cloth. The dimensions are 63 x 18.3 x 3.9 inches. The folded dimensions are 28.9 x 18.1 x 4.8 inches.

Brand: Amazon Basics

👤I bought this to help my dog after he had a surgery. She learned how to use it well after the initial training, walking up and down until one evening when she came up it and it snapped in half. She fell and landed on her back. I've never been so calm. I have a large ramp and she is only 40-45 lbs, there is no reason it should have snapped like that. She is not close to the weight limit. Don't buy. This product is dangerous.

👤Two old dogs need assistance with the stairs. This works well for them. I put 2 nails in the space between the bricks at the bottom to make sure the ramp didn't slide.

👤It needs traction. My dog likes to slide.

👤It was not possible to get to the truck of my SUV. The ramp was too steep for my pit bull to get up in the trunk and she tore herACL. We were still looking for something to help us get her in. It was lightweight and sturdy, but not long enough to be folded.

👤My older small dog needs a ramp to get around. It was easy to use. Not slippery. My dog was unable to climb up the steps due to his arthritis, so it saved Mom's back.

👤This is a small ramp. It was easy to fold out. I returned because it wouldn't work with my vehicle, my slanted driveway and my fat bulldog.

👤My dog has a hard time getting around these days so I thought this ramp would be great to help him up and down the stairs. He wanted nothing to do with the plastic after his foot hit it. It didn't feel strong enough to support 70 lbs. It might be nice to have a softer material on the treds. This would be great for a dog with short nails. Not for an old man who doesn't want to be involved in any new shenanigans.

👤My dog could get on and off the bed. It works well. The ramp can be taken on the go. I put the top section of the ramp in between the mattress and box spring so that it doesn't stick out from the bed. If anyone needs to know how tall my bed is, it's 2'7" from the floor to the top. The end of the ramp is 3' from the edge of the bed. She doesn't have to worry about slipping on the traction bars even when it's wet because she has the carpet or grip tape on her ramp. I was a little annoyed at the price but now feel like it was worth it. Thanks!

👤Exactly as described. The ramp is sturdy and supports our 125 LB Akita perfectly. The ramp folds up to fit in the rear seat floor area of the SUV. The ramp has ridges. We put strips of tape on his paws. The plastic on his paws is slippery when wet. The ramp arrived a day ahead of schedule and we are 100% satisfied.

5. Folding Portable Steps Medium Doggies

Brand: Silly Millie Pet Products

👤The steps are not deep enough for my dog to feel comfortable on the top and bottom of them. They are too close together. I don't think she felt safe getting in. I will probably get her a ramp. She is 80 lbs. The German Shepherd's body is too long to have both legs on the stairs at the same time. It is like asking a dog to balance on a ball with their feet close together. The height of the stairs is fine for her, but the depth of each landing is too narrow for a larger dog.

👤I am reducing the star rating to one because the steps no longer open easily after a couple of weeks. I have to use both hands to open them. I have to anchor my dog's leash under my foot because I need to use both hands. This helps my dog get into the car, but I wish the steps were deeper. My dog is a big, long skinny hound and it's hard for him to walk at the same time. I don't need steps that are wide for my dog, just steps that are deeper.

👤I bought a stool to help my dog get in and out of my truck. It has worked well. Her weight is 130 lbs. It folds behind the back seat and opens quickly. The glue is pulling away from the top step. I haven't had it for more than 2 weeks. That is a bit of a disappointment. The stool was good.

👤I love this! A 100lb lab-pit is in our possession. She used to stay on our bed whenever she wanted. She started complaining when she wanted to join us. We are disabled. I tried to lift her, but almost dropped her. Right! That was it. Most of the pet stairs are for small dogs, expensive, heavy or don't fold away. I place the stairs at the edge of the bed when Lyla comes to the side of the bed. At first, I was bad to put her paws on the steps and walk for her. She's not easy to train and I have to fold the steps. She climbs them like a champ. They are a game-changing force. I can grab the handles that fold into the top step and pick the stairs up. I lay them against the wall so my husband and I won't trip on them as we move on. For the past decade, she has been sleeping on the foot of the bed. I'm thankful for the perfect item that allows us to continue our tradition.

👤I have a big SUV and a medium dog. Balance problems are making me struggle. I looked at all the stairs and realized that I would have to use the driveway instead of the garage. This is perfect. The door is not completely open in this picture. It is easy to fold and unfold. She trusts the stairs because they don't slip. I am very happy. I use a cage for protection.

The age range describes all life stages. Easy to store is a special feature.

Brand: Pet Gear

👤I'm not sure if I like this ramp. Our small dogs were having trouble jumping on our bed, so I ordered one for them. It was perfect for them. My daughter's dog had started having a harder time jumping on the bed, so I ordered a new one. There is no grip on either side of the ramp as her dog slipped off it a couple times. Her dog was large. There is a The dog was no longer able to walk after the second slip because of a back injury. Go forward a week. She was held up to pee. Started not eating much and stopped eating. She deteriorated very quickly. We put her down. If you purchase this ramp, I would recommend you add some grip to both sides. I wouldn't recommend this.

👤The ramp is too steep. I'm a vet that does rehabilitation and my dog is well trained, but it had trouble with this one. Too steep and not enough traction. The carpet is very thin and there is no traction. I'm not sure if I could walk down this ramp.

👤She has used a wooden step ramp for years on another part of the house, but the ramp is not as stable as it could be. My dog is 12 years old and she doesn't like it so we put it on the floor with chairs on both sides and made her run over it to get a treat. After a few days, we put up a ramp to her favorite spot on the couch, with the chairs on both sides, and she was happy to go up and down. We will remove the chairs in the next few days and I will update my review, but it looks great now.

👤I returned because the locking mechanism wouldn't open. I was charged a fee for a return that was not in my control, and it was brand new and returned the same way without the lock working. I own many Pet gear Pet steps, from 2, 3 and 4 high, and purchased several as gifts. NEVER again will you lose a loyal customer.

👤Maya injured her left hind leg five months ago. I had 3 pet steps in different sizes so I thought that would solve our problem. She didn't have the strength to push herself up. She could still jump off the bed, which would have injured her legs and knees. I lifted her back up, but she continued to jump off the bed while I was sleeping and loudly awaken me when she returned. I didn't want to buy another piece of pet furniture as it was competing with mine for space. I decided that I needed to sleep more than worry about space. My family of dogs, cats, and I love it. I still use the steps to get to my furniture. I had to raise the bottom end of the steps because Maya couldn't make it up that steep. I just went to Home Depot and had them cut a piece of wood in two and glue it together withGorilla glue. Since my pets are small, I didn't have to anchor the wood piece with screws or nails. This product is very good.

8. Pet Gear Lightweight Portable Stability

"From the Manufacturer" is an exciting feature that you can read below. Also, note: Pets up to 200 lbs.

Brand: Pet Gear

👤I ordered the same ramp as pictured. The "carpeting" is similar to marine matting. It's nice and not too soft, but it gives a good grip. The rubber grippers are efficient and don't look like much. The ramp is not narrow, it is fine. My dog is a 55lb mutt and she is very smart. I let her investigate it while it was on the floor. She was very cautious last night. I put it at the side door of my minivan. She used a slice of hot dog as a motivator and told her "ramp", and then walked up the ramp. I helped guide her because I had her on a lead the whole time. She decided the hot dog was worth it even though it was a harder trick down the ramp. We took 10 minutes and one hot dog to complete this process. This ramp is built to last. It would be great if future models had a handle. It's manageable. I'm 5' tall and average weight, and it's easy to unfold for me. I'm very happy with this product.

👤My 14 year old Maltese has been unable to go down the stairs by our back door for over a year. We put in a door with more glass for him because he loves looking out the door. We don't mind taking him down the steps for potty breaks but he can't look outside when we aren't home. I found a dog ramp that would work in the small space we have for it. I got it today and my dog was very scared at first but after 15-20 minutes he is going up and down it like a champ. He still wants a treat for using it, but I am confident that he will use it with out any rewards other than looking outside. There is no bounce when he uses it. I made sure it wouldn't slip with the strap and rubber padding on the floor. I knew if it slipped, he wouldn't go near it again. I wish I had ordered this sooner.

👤Our 13 year old labradoddle has arthritis in her back legs and cannot jump into our SUV. I put it on the floor for Sara to get used to and it looked good. She tried to get on it with some treats, but she avoided it for the longest time. She fell off when she got up on it. That was the end of the ramp for her. She backed away when we put it on the car because she wouldn't go near it. I tried to force her up when I should have read her body language, but she walked up and fell off again. It went back to Amazon in the box. The carpet on the ramp does not grip her paws well and the plastic edging is too slippery. There is a I will have to continue to lift her up and out of the car unless I can find a ramp material that she can grip easily. Is there a better quality ramp that is not made of plastic that would work? I want to see if Sara can easily get into the back seat of our car if I can find one for her.

Brand: Niubya

👤I bought this for my wife's service dog to help her get in and out of the SUV. Since the service dog goes with her everywhere, I wanted to reduce the impact the joints have when she jumps into and out of the SUV, so I purchased these stairs. The stairs are very lightweight. The grips on the stairs make the dog feel comfortable. My wife can operate the stairs with one hand and fold them back up with the other. The dog got used to the stairs with a few treats. It comes with a D-ring that you can clip onto the car so that the stairs never slip from the car. My wife has a baby seat in the back of her SUV that we attach the D-ring to so it always connects. You can attach the D-ring to the latch if you don't have an anchor. When you shut the trunk, you will have to unclip it. The Veterinarian approves of the stairs.

👤I have a dog with arthritis who can't jump on and off the SUV. He is about 80 lbs. The ramp made it so easy to drive from CA to VA. It would have been difficult to carry him on and off the SUV 4 times a day. This is the best ramp I have owned. It took him just 10 minutes to get used to it, it was very light and comfortable on my dog's paws, and it was easy to fold and unfold. He likes it. We use it to go to the park and pet store, I can now take him with me everywhere. This thing is awesome.

👤It's easy to set up. It works perfectly on my lift excursion. Dogs are not going to break their legs. It's solid. No flexing under my biggest dog.

👤The steps will be heavier when put on. When I tried them,130 lbs, before my dog did, they slipped down from the bed where I had them positioned and left a large chunk of skin on my foot. It was very painful. A small dogs legs could have been broken. I don't recommend them. There are some instructions that didn't make it to my set.

👤It's easy to set up and store in the car. The platforms are too narrow for my dog. She would like the steps to be 3 or so long so she can see more of something when she needs to come down. She tries to avoid them by jumping. I bought the 6 platform version since I have a tall SUV and it fits perfect, but my big dog would do better with bigger steps.

👤I assumed that this would make it easier for my dogs because they are used to stairs, but they were hesitant at first but figured it out and it is very easy to put up and take down. My dogs are very large and they have saved my life.

👤Our dog was sick with cancer. It was difficult to get her out of the vehicle at 80 lbs. This ramp is great. Dogs can handle it because it is not too steep.

10. Kurgo Wander Collapsible Ramp Fold

Brand: Kurgo

👤After reading Jeep forums, I settled on a ramp for my older pit bull because my Jeep is too high for him. It was too steep and took up a lot of space and the surface was rough on her paws. It looked dirty after one use. I decided to go for a set of stairs and it worked better than before. She can get up and down with less effort and it's easier to use a lighter.

👤There are a lot of good things about this product. My large breed dog is fine getting in and out of my wife's car, but my 2 trucks are considerably higher and she came up limping after exiting the truck. This was not going to be a good situation for her. Either. I researched ramps and settled on this. One of the reviews mentioned how they trained their dog to use the porch steps. She used it confidently entering and exiting the trucks. She's 80 lbs and it's strong. I have used it 10 times now and can confidently say that it is a quality product that makes transporting my dog safer.

👤Our little guy is 15 years old and he is having trouble getting up and down steps. The ramp we bought works perfectly for him. Even though he is almost blind, he was able to see it because it is red. We are very happy with our purchase.

👤We use the ramp and stairs to help our dog. I wish it were wider. Our dog is 70 pounds and has bad hips. He has broad shoulders so we are asking a lot of him to navigate a tight passage.

👤The ramp was received today. I took my dog less than 3 minutes to learn to walk up and down the ramp. He is a big boy. The pit mix is a lab/ lab mix. The ramp is sturdy and has a lot of grip. I have a Jeep that is not lifted yet. The ramp is not too heavy. It folds nicely. Lifting his back end into the jeep is not a good idea. Very happy so far.

👤This was perfect for my dog who suddenly lost his sight. It only took one day for him to use it in his own. The lip is on the side. We can leave it on the steps and still have room to use them.

👤Our dog has a disease that makes it hard for him to get in and out of the car. It's rated for 200 lbs, but it's wobbly. The dog is 120 lbs. He scratched his nuckles to the blood when he tried to use this. Nobody thought of taking pictures when we focused on him. This may work for a small dog, but not for a large dog.

👤This ramp has been used for the past 5 years. She was able to go up easily when she was younger. It is too steep from the ground to the SUV. We put the stool against the bumper because we have a 10” high stool. We put the high end of the ramp on it. Our dog can jump from the top of the ramp into the SUV with ease. Works well. The stool is on. On the side of the ramp. Stand by our original review. I read three pages of reviews before I saw this ramp. Some of the ramps had good reviews, but the 2 and 1 star comments were completely uninviting! Things like my dog cut itself and needed stitches, and parts were off and lying in the bottom of the box, and it was much heavier and awkward than I expected. Look no further! This ramp works. I do agility with my black Lab who is 63 lbs so she thinks all ramps are a game, however, after an accident where our car is in the shop possibility totaled, we ended up with a rental SUV whose rear floor is so high that jumping out for a month or more would be This is the ramp for us and we needed it. It wouldn't be too steep if we had measured in advance 60" so it wouldn't be too heavy. The surface they use is similar to what many reviewers noted, but it works well. Our dog runs and walks beautifully when practicing on our back stairs. The plastic has nice round shoulders. Good product.

11. Maxpama Portable Aluminum Foldable Lightweight

👤The product is of great quality and ingenuity. It has a lot of features and is easy to set up. I tried to get my golden retriever to use it multiple times, but it was just a no-go. I noticed that the stairs were not wide enough for a comfortable walk up them. I walked with her. She fell off the steps. She was better with a leash as I kept her close to me. I know it takes training but if a comfortable foundation isn't there, it's not going to work. I felt that it wasn't going to help and I returned it. I found a wider step on Amazon. I think I might try the two wide carpeted steps. It seems as though they would allow more room to move. My Golden is almost 13 years old. I'm sure there are some factors that contribute to weight. She used to run and jump in the open door of the SUV to take a ride. My intentions were to keep her happy. It's a good product and may be good for a small dog.

👤My golden retriever is 8 years old. He can't jump in and out of the car at will because of his joint disease. This is a good idea. It is easy to carry. Our dog slipped on the steps and hurt his leg. He's afraid to use it again. The steps are too narrow for my big dog and the surface is a thin layer of fabric. The seller needs to solve the big problem of safety to sell it. It is not a good idea to buy it.

👤I like the steps. The steps use up little space and are very easy to handle. It's perfect because I got this to load up my pup. My puppy can easily get in and out of the contraption on the top step of my semi. At 8 months old he is 45 lbs. We will see how sturdy the product is down the road. I will review it. Thank you for the invention of those puppy steps. Have a great day.

👤I used to have a ramp for my American bully to get in and out of my truck, but this pup is not good at jumping and it is not something I want to cause damage to her hips. It folds down smaller than the ramp that I had for her and I can almost set it up with one hand, it sits perfectly on the floor of the passenger side floorboards. The fact that I can park in a very tight parking lot with another truck next to me and still be able to have my dog use this is a great thing.

👤It's easy to set up and train on.

👤The stairs are great. The frame is sturdy and folds into a compact shape, they are lighter than I expected. There is a flaw that I am concerned about. The step is made of two layers of fabric and sewn together with a square of plastic smaller than the step itself. The fabric is great and the traction marks are great. The problem is that this makes the steps give and flex more than if it were a solid piece that extends over the frame. I fear that over time the fabric supporting the weight will fail. Even if that doesn't happen, it makes the steps more flexible. It's difficult to convince an older dog to trust these steps if they seem less stable. I wish they would have made them differently. They work well for now, and hopefully won't wear out soon. My dog eventually learned to trust these steps and they helped him get into the vehicle much easier than the stool I was using before. I would buy these again if they last a long time. My dog is a 12.5 year old black lab with arthritis in his back legs and muscle loss. I'm not sure if I would use these for a dog heavier than him, but they do fine for him.
