A leakproof plastic pan and a 1-year manufacturer's warranty are included in the folding metal dog crate. The dog crate door is locked with two heavy duty slide-bolt latches. The folding metal dog crate is easy to assemble and folds flat for convenient storage and travel. The metal dog crate design provides a safe place for your dog while you are away.
👤I share my house with a rambunctious, always ridiculously happy, bulldozing monster because I have a 1 year Labrador. I thought he was old enough to sleep outside of his kennel with me. I took his puppy kennel with me. He'll chew when he decides I've ignored him and he's bored. I thought I had picked up some interesting items from the height of the dog. After waking up to find he had chewed up and tried to eat a glass horse figurine, it was time to get out the kennel again for his own safety. I wanted my dog to be able to stretch and move around, so I bought the largest kennel I could find. I feel silly after setting it up in my living room. It's not a kennel, it's a condo. It looks like a zoo exhibit in my living room and takes up a whole corner of the room. He has a lot of leg room. My German Shepherd mix is 75 lbs and she will sometimes crawl in for an escape and a nap. If a dog doesn't like the idea of being in a kennel, this one might not be strong enough to keep them in. The kennel is pretty decent. It makes sense that the wire is thinner than my smaller ones, since it would weigh a lot. When I come home, my destroyer dog jumps up and down, slamming his paws against the gate and sides. He hasn't scratched the tray or bent the sides of the thing yet, despite showing his affection. The tray is in good shape. I feel that I have gotten my money's worth and would buy this kennel and brand again when one of my other kennels wears out. Maybe a smaller size...
👤I started to give this 4 stars because it's a bit smaller than I was hoping for, but it's actually perfect! The packaging and product was in one piece when it arrived at my home. I have a bully pitbull. I hated to leave my husband in a crate for hours on end because he didn't have a place to pee or poop. I attached the small crate to the 48in one so he could have his own house. It's worked out great for us so far, I'm very satisfied. I am 5'3 and there is enough room for me to sit in, but my head touches the top of the crate. It comes to about my waist. Great purchase!
👤Better than expected! I bought this crate for my German Shepherd to use while I recover from surgery. He's never been in a crate before, and I was worried about how he would take it, but this crate is so large, it's not a problem at all. He's very tall, long, and tall, and he looks bigger than his 85 pounds, but this was more than large enough for him. He has room to spare. The crate can be put together by one person in less than one minute. Each end panel is locked into place with interlocking hooks after the sides fold up. I was able to put it up again after collapsing it. I think he couldn't even break out of the crate if he tried. It's nice that it comes with a plastic crate pan, we had a water bowl malfunction the first week while I was at work, and that pan saved my hardwood floor. I'm showing you how big it is with a couple of pictures. I would have paid more for this.
Solid wood construction is made in Thailand. The product dimensions are 36.5” L x 24” W x 29.25” H and are intended for larger pets. The weight limit is 200 lbs. There is a No divider was included. The end table gives the pet crate a native feel. It blends with light and easy assembly. Solid wood construction for increased durability and longevity makes a lockable gate a good choice. It is easy to clean a crate by wiping it with a damp cloth.
👤We bought the large size for our two smaller dogs. We love the look of this compared to the wire crate. It is a nice looking piece of furniture. It was easy to do it by yourself, but having an extra set of hands was nice. One of our pups is an avid chewer. We decided to make the wooden crate unchewable because she would make easy work of it. We purchased a 1/2 inch hardware cloth from our local hardware store, 10' x 2' was perfect for the large crate, and we only had to cut the length, height, and #8 x 1/2” screws. The #8 size head fit perfectly with the overlap of the opening, although a smaller head screw would work with washers, and the 1/2” length was the just right for screw into the thicker edge pieces. We measured, cut and installed it during assembly, but it can be done after you spend some time in a crate. The hardware cloth is a little more straightforward. The medal can be very sharp, so be sure to wear gloves and drill pilot holes for each screw. The piece is practical, functional and aesthetically pleasing, and we love it. I have an issue with the hinge type and it is not worth taking a star away from. The door and crate have pegs on top and bottom. The door rubs when opening and closing due to the lack of clearance on the bottom. We plan to add a handle to the door to make it easier to use. We plan to add an anti fatigue mat to the bottom to help them sleep better and to help silence the sounds of them playing with toys. I think this is a good idea. We only had it a few weeks but we are quite pleased with it.
👤I bought the large version. I thought it would be smaller, but I'm very happy with it. There is plenty of space in my dog's crate. It was very easy to build. The instructions were easy to follow. I have a small version of this, but I wanted something bigger for my dog. There is a side by side comparison.
👤I got a puppy. I am impressed. Everything you need except a phillips is included. It is very sturdy once it is assembled. I read a couple of reviews where people said it was too small, people got that horse out of your house, it doesn't belong there. Adane could fit in this thing. I had room to spare because I put my dog and 2 kids in there. The finish is nice, whoever packed this thing did a great job, bubble wrap inside a box wrapped around foam and everything was secure and didn't bounce or slide during transit. There isn't a scratch on it. If you dog can tear this thing up, how do you sleep at night? I read a review that stated not for a "destructive dog", holy shit man, if you dog can tear this thing up, how do you sleep at night? I'd be worried that the dog would come for me.
The side- opening door design is convenient for pets to enter and exit and to clean the dog cage. Pets can run out of the cage if you put food in the skylight door. You can pet your pets by opening the skylights. The double door is locked. TheFurpezoo wooden dog kennels are made from a high density fiberboard and 8mm diameter metal iron pipe. The 8mm iron pipe can easily cope with the bite force of a pet and can be used for many purposes. This combination can protect your furniture and also ensure the safety of your pets when you are not at home. This crate is designed with an open side and has a spacious interior which can be decorated with a waterproof mat or bed to provide your companion with the maximum comfort. The pet's inner peace of mind and avoiding the feeling of being confined is ensured by the open side slats, which are 2.36” between the iron pipes. The crate is easy to install with a step-by-step manual and the packaging has instructions and an accessories bag. It is recommended that the installation is done manually. The wooden dog crate is safe and easy to clean, and it is an ideal addition to your bedroom or living room, suitable for puppies, kitties, and other animals. It is easy to clean the crate by wiping it with a damp cloth. It is recommended to use it against the wall to increase the stability of the dog cage without scratching the wall. When opening the top door, it's best to handle it gently and not fully open it to avoid damage to the door lock and hinge.
👤I found out that it had been used or tried to be put together, and it had some flaws on the corners of the wood.
👤It shouldn't take more than an hour to figure this out. I've never seen an assembly directions worse. The diagrams are hard to read and the directions are incomplete. Each type of screw is referred to by a symbol that is not used elsewhere in the assembly diagrams. The individual panels were often not marked with "up/down" or "front/back" The holes for the hinges and latch were not pre-drilled. The mechanism to keep the top door in place isn't working. I only give it 2 stars. The rear panel is solid so the dog can't see out, which is why I bought it. Even though the back was solid, it should have been open. I'm returning it as soon as I can disassemble it. I don't recommend this item.
👤I like it in the living area. I bought the white. It is more expensive than the metal ones, but it is still attractive. Our fur baby is very comfortable in it. She chewed the plastic bottom of her metal crate when she was left there for a while. The wood floor is strong. I wish the bars were closer together. I wonder if a small kitten or pup could fall through. Think of unsafe baby cribs of the past. Our household is too large to have a problem with this. I subtracted 2 stars from 'easy to assemble'. It was easy for me to assemble it. It's a good thing.
👤The crate looks better than the metal ones. It looks better in my living room. The top opening is good for giving toys to a puppy. It was easy to put together and the puppy has not been able to escape.
👤The product is what the pictures show. It looks good and works, but it is not a professional grade. Customer service was quick to get my crate back to normal after I accidentally dropped something heavy and broke the top panel. The customer service is great. I'm very happy with the product and the only thing that has changed my situation is because of customer service. I'm so grateful.
👤I bought two of them within the last three months. They are by each other. I feed the dogs. The newer one has cracks running up and down the wood grain. I will be contacting the manufacturer. The crates are only used 50% of the time because the dogs are between this and another residence. The one is cracking and I am not happy about it. You will need two people to set it up. I hope that we can fix the issue of the pink bowl.
👤It is not easy to assemble. The wood has begun to chip with the particle board showing. The dog spilled a small amount of water and the bottom of the pool started to warp. I wouldn't but this product. This crates a chihuahua.
The end table gives the pet crate a native feel. It blends with light and easy assembly. Solid wood construction for increased durability and longevity makes a lockable gate a good choice. It is easy to clean and get rid of messes with a damp cloth. The interior dimensions are 24.25"D x 21"H. The weight is 25.5 pounds. The weight is 25.5 pounds.
👤The low-star reviews don't seem fair to me and have not been my experience with this type of crate, so I need to write a review. It is wood. It does not look or feel cheap to me. If you are looking for something even more classy, you will spend over $100. It is light enough for me to pick it up and move. I didn't experience an overly strong varnish smell, a ceiling fan and a cracked window won't get rid of, and the sticker inside the crate says it was manufactured just a few months ago, so of course it has a little bit of a fresh varnish smell. I have no doubt that this will last for a long time, as my dog gets in her crate voluntarily and only freaks when she hears us coming home, and worse case scenario she scratches the inside of the door a bit. This was easy to assemble, that's the best part. It took me 30 minutes to get out the box and put together using aPhillips screwdriver, but nobody likes assembling things. The instructions are easy to follow. I am very happy with this piece.
👤We bought one for my husband's dog. This is perfect for her because she is a 35lb Basenji. I like that it is solid wood. There is no particle board. It's easy to put together. Sturdy. It is attractive. This would work for smaller dogs, but it would probably fit up to a 50lb dog. We loved our dog so much that my husband and I decided to give her a nice crate, just like ours, so I will be dropping it off tomorrow. The door doesn't stay open for our dog to go in and out of the house. I found a black metal doorstop on Amazon and attached it to the door, it worked great. I put it on our friend's crate. Oh, and another note. We found a tray that was perfect for this crate. The dimensions of a Midwest replacement tray are 23 x 16.75 x 1 inches. The tray costs about $13. We love this crate and recommend it.
👤I feel like I need to tell some people the truth. This is a wooden building. If your dog chews on the metal, it will destroy the kennel. Same with body slamming and digging. If your dog isn't kennel trained, don't put him in a wooden kennel. If he wanted to, my dog could break out of this thing, but he is not a kennel trained dog. Don't just throw your dog in and hope for the best, you will want to re-train him at this place. A dog should not be in a prison cell. The kennel itself. The appearance is correct. I only give it 4 stars because of two things. The dog is sitting on a panel made of a material other than wood. I would want that piece to be wood as water on it will cause it to warp. I moved his water dish outside. If your dog pee's in it will warp and there will be a residual odor. I will probably look into a waterproof liner for the bottom. There was a smallChunk missing from the top along the side. The package was damaged when it arrived, but not a big piece less than a quarter inch in diameter. When I was done with assembly, I didn't care enough to try and send it back. The only reason I mention this is because most items that I've ordered and have mailed to me are wrapped up so tight and have 1/2 inch styrofoam packing, this only had 1/3 inch styrofoam and the dent looked like 1/2 inch. If your mail carriers are rough when handling your packages give your kennel a good look to make sure it's ok.
2 doors, mesh windows, and front door, all on the same side. The doors are positioned neatly out of the way with fastening straps. The frame and fabric is set up in seconds and folds flat for easy transport. Measures 30.1 by 21.3 by 21.3 inches and is backed by a limited one-year warranty. Please only use product with dogs that are crate trained. Medium sized breeds such as Blue Heelers and Golden Retrievers are recommended. A dog crate can be used for a cat or kittens.
👤Very happy with the ease of setting up and the quality material. I use this in the car to keep control of my hair. She is 71 lbs. I used it when I went camping as a pup tent. My dog is very anxious, and she was happy to be inside her space. It would work well in apartments with limited space for crating. The purchase is highly recommended.
👤I have a small dog who likes sleeping in our bed, but sometimes he needs to be in his crate. I went to get him this a.m. and he had torn a whole in the side mesh. He got his head out but was stuck at the neck. Had he not been able to stand that long, he could have died. I had to cut the rest of the window in order to free him. This could have been fatal.
👤I got the 42” today. I wanted to post with pics because there were different opinions on the size of dogs. I am getting this as a crate for camping with my 2 dogs as a place to sleep at night, they won't be in it outside of nighttime. I am not trying to use it as a playpen. I wanted something that would fit in the vestibule of my tent, which it barely does in the end of my REI Basecamp4. The basset mix and chow mix are very different in size. Both of them fit in a lot of room and should be able to sleep comfortably. It is true to the measurements listed, but it is huge next to a standard sized dining room table. The mesh and black interior make it hard to see inside when it is closed, there is a waterproof looking lining inside, zips seem sturdy, and my daughter set it up the first time with relative ease. It needs a pad in the bottom to be more comfortable for dogs.
👤Excellent design and high quality. There is a lot of space for my aussies. One 50lb and one 30lb. I can carry it with one hand. I can finally park without my husband helping. It's easy to clean up after a walk.
👤I like this thing. It's light and folds up nicely. It's perfect and I used it while traveling. If you have an anxious dog or escape artist, you'll probably want something stronger. My dog is crate trained and settles easily, but she scratched at the front flap and it was a little damaged. It can be secured with a plastic clip, but it could be broken by a dog. This is a great option if you're looking for something light duty.
👤We bought a lot of stuff when we got a puppy. One of our top priorities was a soft crate and we had previously bought one just like this but through a name brand. This one seemed to be the same quality as the one that cost us more. The fabric and mesh seem to be good quality, even after our puppy tried to chew it. If it had some kind of strap or handles that you could hold while you're carrying it, I think that would make this better. The ones on there are the best for carrying it when it's folded. If you're looking for a soft, foldable crate, this is a good purchase.
The dimensions are 33.75" H x 37" W x 25.13" L. The ProSelect Empire dog cage is made of 20-gauge steel and reinforced with steel tubes. The Medium-Sized Cage is 40 lbs. The ProSelect dog cage has a grate on the floor that makes it easy to clean. Casters can be attached to the bottom of the cage to allow for rolling the cage to other locations or leaving them off for added stability. The Empire cage is made of thick steel and has strong latches to help it stand up to abuse.
👤A 45lb dog mix has severe separation anxiety. Over the last few years, she has gotten worse. She would destroy the crate to get out, hurting herself in the process. She would chew through the interior doors when she was out. We tried a lot of things, including behavior training, extra walks, medication, thunder shirt, and so on. We tried to leave her free thinking, maybe she didn't want to be contained. None of it worked. We looked at a $1000 high impact, high anxiety crate before making a final decision. I was hesitant to spend the money because I thought we'd be out the money and still have to buy a crate. After reading the reviews, we decided to get it. She hasn't been able to escape since we had it a week ago. She has not tried to chew, claw, or bend anything. She was notorious for moving other crates across the floor to get to curtains, but she can't budge this crate. She doesn't try because she feels secure in it. I'm so thankful she's not harming ourselves or our home anymore. It's nice to come home from work and find her laying down. The crate is worth it because we love our girl. The reason for 4 stars is that it is too expensive for the fact that it is just a dog crate and the bars are hollow. Solid bars would make a difference. The pan that goes under the crate is not that big of a deal since it goes under the bars. There was only one sheet with instructions. I hope my review helps someone. The medium size is perfect for her.
👤I was encouraged by the reviews about this crate, but unfortunately my dog got out of it twice in a month, which is not good. Two steel tabs on either side of the floor of the crate hold the 2 levels of flooring in place. My dog was able to bend those steel tabs so the floor fell out of the crate twice. I was surprised that she did it. She pushed out the tray. The steel tabs had to behammered back in place. It's difficult to figure out where to apply for a warranty, so I considered returning the crate or applying for the warranty. I spent triple the amount on a custom-made crate, but I'm still out the money for this one. I took a picture after escaping, but I got rid of this crate after my dog destroyed her bedding. The floor tabs don't have a bolt to keep them in place. I knew my dog would do it again and again after she figured out where the weak point was. The materials are cheaper because of the shady corners that were cut, and it's not worth the price.
👤The cage has strengths and weaknesses. The welds are terrible. The dog has too much access to the hinges and the pan underneath. The German Short Haired Pointer was able to work the latches on the first day we put her in it. We had to put locks on them. The extra bar or two would make a difference. Since I'm going to have to take this to a welder to fix all of the issues, I think I might have him make a plate to protect her. She managed to throw the pan several feet away from the cage. If you put the handle down, it helps, but it's still not dog proof. I might have the welder add something to it. There are welds on the hinges. One popped off. It still fits on there and for the most part is secure, but I'll have to have another thing welded on it. There are the wheels. Two spots where the casters screw into the bottom had welds break at different times. I thought this was going to be better for the money. I'm going to have someone do a lot of work to get it functional again. Despite so many flaws, it is the first thing that has kept her confined. I tried to find the company to give them a chance to do something, but I couldn't find any information. If anyone has contact info, I would appreciate the chance to talk to them to find out what's going on so they can fix it.
If you want to install the product correctly, you must download the latest version of the installation guide on the web page. The large dog crate is built to last. It is not easy to be bitten by a large dog. The double door and sturdy metal frame allow you to interact with your dog, but also give you optimal visibility which will make your dog a comfortable environment. The heavy duty dog kennel is easy to clean. The wheels are locked to prevent unnecessary movement. You only need to install the screws and wheels in the easy to assemble accessories. It takes 10 minutes to make a dog crate. The heavy duty kennel is 48"L X 29"W X 51"H. If you have a problem with your dog cage, please contact them.
👤Not Cane proof. My 1 year old broke the locks first and then destroyed the top support bar.
👤Our 2 year old Great Pyrenees loves this cute crate. We love it! The crate had some scratches on the back side. I didn't report the issue since it was on the back and we needed the crate asap. We still love the crate after almost two months. It has been a relief to have a crate that is escape-proof. Our magician has met his opponent. The crate still looks new two years later. If you are tired of the standard wire crate and plastic tray, give this one a try.
👤I bought this for my daughter's dog who has separation anxiety. He had destroyed crates. This crate is great. I call it Alcatraz. My daughter can now leave for work and not worry about her dog. Great investment! Well worth the money!
👤The head room is perfect for our German Shepherd and the higher ceiling is only slightly larger. The bars have a spacing that makes it easy for us to reach in and give him something to eat. The crate on wheels is a great feature, it can be moved around the room without any effort. It would be rather heavy if it wasn't there.
👤I have a 100 lbs GSD that makes great meat. This one is very easy to put together. There are only two things that will draw you in, the heavy weight of the building and the fact that the slats make it uncomfortable for the dog. This cage looks great, and I am happy with it.
👤The cage is made of toilet paper. The dog broke it out after chewing the top of the bar first and then figuring out he could push the latches out. I am not sure why you would use flimsy latches instead of a welded one. I would give negative stars for this. If you own a small beagle, this is fine. German shepherds will greet you at the front door.
👤Will not contain our lab mix. If an idiot puts a small door inside the large access door, they need to put the cage in until they find a real cage solution to house an animal of such size. The lab was out in less than 10 hours setting up the cage. He was able to open his snout by partially chewing two upright bars. This cage is intended for something else, so don't waste your money. Find a better one!
👤It is easy to assemble and set up, but it is a little heavy to get out of the box and set up, so I had help. The addition of the apex roof gives us an extra head room, which is worth the money.
👤Fantastic product. I can leave my dog. He is safe and secure. The floor is negative. The bars are the same as the rest of the cage. A board was fitted to solve the problem.
All MidWest 42 inch long single and double door folding metal dog crates are leak proof. The replacement pan is 41.3L x 27.75W x 1 and is for the MidWest dog crate models 1542, 1542DD, 1642, 1642DD, 1942, 1942DD, The leak proof pan is easy to clean and odor resistant. The design of the pan makes it easy to clean in the event of an accident. The replacement pan is injection molded which is stronger and more durable than a vacuum sealed pan. The replacement pan is designed for dog crates but also has multiple uses, such as a tray around the house.
👤A crate pan is a re-purposed life in my house. After repairing a water leak under my kitchen sink, I began to look for a pan with a lip that could protect the base of my kitchen sink cabinet from further damage. The pan is perfect for my sink cabinet. The under-sink pans were $60, so this one was a big savings and may even be a better solution since the material seems really sturdy. My review of this product is for its purpose as an under-sink pan, not as a dog crate pan.
👤Great for cat litter boxes. To contain the mess in the box. It is easy to clean and keep what is underneath from being ruined. I have two large crates for my 3 large dogs, but they don't need to be used anymore if there is an injury on a dog and he/she needs containment in the house. I had begun pulling the tray to place the foster cats litter boxes and the feeding area on. I now have 5 pans in the house and only two crates for dogs. A reasonable price for just this pan or even a larger one is what you get. Video shows my newest foster family and two of the pans used for them.
👤Update... I have used these pans for many years. We breed dogs. I have been pleased with the pans and Midwest crates. The pans have changed recently. They look different. We have had to replace more than we can count, because they either arrive broken or crack within days. I opened the replacement and found it had broken. I'm not an expert on materials but they seem harder and more prone to cracking. If they weren't subject to this cracking, we wouldn't need a replacement pan. They have cracked on the corners, sometimes have cracks in the middle, and one arrived with multiple cracks. The boxes arrive in perfect condition. It's possible that the packaging might be a part of the problem because the rest of the pan is covered with cardboard. The changes in physical makeup of the pans seem to be the cause of the broken and cracked pans. We have had issues with two of their crates recently, which makes us suspect the issues are quality control and related to the new style pan. The original reivew was original. The pan will fit into the MidWest dog crates, but will also fit into others of the same size. We've cracked a few pans accidentally since they're not made of heavy plastic and being able to replace just the pan at a reasonable price is a blessing. We have five dogs and one chews the sides so we have replaced other pans. The pan cracked on its own from rubbing on the wire bottom. I recommend placing a scatter rug under the pan and between the wires of the crate to prevent slippage, but it's important that the rug is smaller than the pan and doesn't protrude as it could create a choking hazard to your dog. The pan tends to slide a little bit, which makes the sounds of a dog moving rather annoying. If you have an older dog who tends to have accidents, having an extra pan can be helpful. A friend told me that she replaced the pan in the middle of the night when there was an accident and then cleaned it off the next day. I can see where this could be beneficial. It's a good pan to have.
Medium dog breeds can benefit from the Life Stages, a double door folding metal dog crate. A "MidWest Quality Guarantee" 1-year manufacturer's warranty and a free divider panel are included in the Versatile 2-door dog crate. They manufacture the iCrate and the Life Stages dog crate. The Life Stages is made of heavier gauge steel and has a tighter wire mesh making it stronger than iCrate. The dog crate door is locked with two heavy duty slide-bolt latches. The dog crate is easy to assemble and folds flat for convenient storage or travel. While you're away, durable design creates a safe place for your pet and provides for your dog's "den" instincts. Patented rounded corner clips greatly reduce the risk of sharp points in your dog's crate.
👤I have bought many crates for my dogs in the past 45 years, I bought the cheapest one and the most expensive one. You used to have to pay up to $200 for standard great at the pet store. Thank goodness for Amazon. I added a golden retriever named Bentley to my stable. He's just a little guy at 12 pounds, but he's going to get bigger. He fits in a small crate. He can get in it, but he can't turn around. I went to Amazon to find a crate for him that I could grow into. Midwest stood by me with crates during my dog show days. They made a sturdy crate out of heavy-duty material that was well engineered and put together. A few things have changed since I bought a crate a few years ago. Midwest was one of the first to offer a folding crate and they did it well, and they still do. I chose the middle size because it is a little bigger than the other manufacturers middle size. The double doors, one on the side and one on the end, are some of the features I like. Each closes and locks with two hasps. The bottom tray is made of plastic and is easier to clean and resistant tocorrosion. I ordered this crate from Amazon and it arrived quickly. I had it set up in less than 5 minutes after it arrived. The location where I was going to use it was against a wall and the doors were not right. It took me 3 minutes to swap the ends by bending back four hooks on each end and squeezing them tight again. To do in my crate. I should say that the crate was ready to leave. I left both doors open when I was going to introduce him to the crate so he could wander in and out at his leisure. I put a few toys and a water bowl in their as well as a wee wee pad and some bedding. He was curious and wandering around. He was screaming and crying for most of the night the first night. He was in a crate for the first time. I put him in a crate on the second night and he was quiet until the morning. I took him out when he started vocalizing when he saw me. As your dog grows, you can change the size of the crate. I'm not using a divider or giving a full run of the crate at this point. The price of these is amazing and I am happy that Amazon is selling them. If you go to a pet store, you will get a crate or imitation for $150. I think you'll be very happy with the quality and operation of this crate, I recommend Midwest. If you're a first-time buyer, you should check the standards of the AKC for how big your dog will be. You will have to buy bigger later on if you buy too small. I love it and give it five stars. I know you will too. If you found my review helpful, please click yes on the button below, I will leave reviews to help others make decisions prior to purchase. I use your reviews to help me with my purchases as well. My reviews are accurate and factual.
The main components of the dog crate are covered by panels, giving the crate more of an interior-appropriate, furniture like appearance. Their solid crate top allows personal items to be stored on top, taking full advantage of the surface area with no effect on the crate or pet inside. There are three different sizes of dog cage and crate cover to accommodate a pet of almost any size. There is a plastic tray that can be pulled out for cleaning. Simple to setup.
👤I wanted something more aesthetic in my living room for our Sheltie puppy than the wire cage. The crate was not a problem and would add a few pieces of advice. The wood dowels should be secured with Original Gorilla waterproof glue. Since the holes are too big for the dowels, this glue will expand to fill them. If you want to put the locking bolts in squarely, use aPhillips head to screw them in. You won't be able to catch the locks if you deviate. It doesn't take much to change the locks on the cam. The cam locks should be put in place with a large flat tip screw driver. The plastic tray is too small for a crate. The wooden slat cover is on the floor. That could have been better. The front doors are open but they don't secure to anything and you have to keep them closed to stop them from swinging into the open path. We used some spots on the doors to keep them clean while our puppy is not in the crate. It's difficult to find a good fit for the inside dimensions. We ended up buying the Brindle Soft Memory Foam pad. It fits in the crate. Our puppy is a Sheltie. It's a good size for her and will probably last for a long time unless she decides to chew her way out. Hope this helps people look at this crate.
👤I will round up since there is no 2.5. The side door can be switched based on location, I chose to place it on the right side, which was a positive. The side door can be built on either side so that it can be switched to the other side. The double door side has an extra strip. They have a strip of wood that allows you to open the full door with the short sides open, but you have to open it regularly. The latches are useless. If you would like to have a crate next to your couch or desk that will help with anxiety, it will work. When I tested the latches out with my dog, she was able to figure out how to open them. It's not a crate for a puppy or a crate for a dog. The pieces were scratched and one side had a significant crack. I thought scratches would happen anyway. I will not try to return it. The tray is smaller than the perimeter. Had I known how small it was, I probably would have passed. The wood bar to hide the tray is not a useful fit and I think it looks better without it. The idea of having a crate that looks nicer than a wire crate is appealing, but after assembling it is not worth the price. If you go with gorilla glue, be aware that it will fall apart and probably not be a crate for the long haul. Listen to the other reviews. I did not take them seriously enough. I wouldn't buy the product if it wasn't worth it, but if you paid you could get a better product that would actually function as a crate.
The dog rate is made of metal enclosure bars and pressed wood. It's perfect for small dogs. It is large to walk around in. The pressed wood isn't chew-proof. There is a dual-purPOSE. This piece of furniture is used as a dog crate. The side table, end table, and nightstand are elegant. Also, have a drawer for more space. They built 3 hooks. It can be used for gloves or hanging towel. The top is wide. Adding smooth wideness to your décor is possible with the durable top. The top has a maximum support weight of 150 lbs. The double door design makes it easier to remove the cushion for quick cleaning, and it also makes it easier to go in and out. Vendor and full view are available. You can enjoy watching your pet rest in style, if you have a full view of them, as they can see you. It's nice for pet nap time.
👤I have a take on this kennel. I give it a good score. It looks great! It looks like a piece of furniture, not a cage. I would like it to come in other colors. The rest of my decor would look better with a darker wood. It looks ok against my faux stone wall. There is a It's safe! There is a I needed something immediately when I got my dog. I got a cage from Walmart. It did the job but my dog has separation anxiety and he messed his nose up trying to escape. He can't hurt himself on metal in this kennel. Most important- The latches are not good. It must have been designed with a purse puppy in mind because of the flimsy screws that hold them on. I doubled up on the heavier duty latches and bolts because I have a 45lb Pitt mix. A set of 4 costs $12. There is only one other thing that there really isn't any. I wish there were more choices. The cushion is very thin and soft. The hooks can be used to pull in stuff. You can put the panel on either side when assembling. I gave 3 stars for chew proof. I will revise if it holds up. I gave 4 stars for assembly. It is easy if you know how to use a screwdriver and Legos. If you don't, you shouldn't own a dog. I gave it 5 stars because it is sturdy. I gave it a good overall rating after having this kennel for two weeks. The company gave me a partial refund after I found a couple of pieces in the box. The bars in the front gate got bent. I think that's because of my dogs insanity, not the product.
👤The product is nice. It's not easy to assemble. The instructions were not bad. You have to crawl inside the unit to tighten the bolts to complete the assembly. This could be an issue if you are not flexible. This is a project that requires a lot of space and attention. Assembly should start when you are fresh. It was beautiful when done. We bought two for our two dogs to enhance the space. A piece of furniture that is sturdy and durable is definitely a piece of furniture.
👤This is a nice crate. My dog loves his sanctuary. I marked it lower on the assemble because the way it was packaged was a little confusing. We use the hooks on the side and the drawer a lot.
👤The end table is beautiful. It looks nice. Exactly what is pictured. I love it! It was worth the money.
👤Is it possible that anything is chew proof? Our new dog likes to chew and is in no danger of damaging the crate. It is a beautiful piece of furniture. $100 is less than those online crates.
👤Chips are very easy. We didn't even see anything with it after it was moved to its permanent location.
