👤I asked my boyfriend to put this up because I am not very mechanically inclined. He spent 45 minutes on it and then gave up. He couldn't fix the gap at the lock area because there was no threading for the large screws at the end to grab on to. I took a look at it, as it would be the most perfect dog gate for us with the cat door. I did not read the instructions. The gap is suppose to be there and that it works through pressure, according to the yellow attention sign I read. I told him that it might not be threaded because it works through the pressure. He laughed at me and said that it would not hold without threads. I went back in and installed it myself in 5 minutes, you were right after. This thing is awesome. The cat can get in and out of the house without a baby gate, and it can fit in our doorway which is smaller at the bottom. Girls rule, boys love it!
👤I bought the pet gate because I wanted to keep my cats out of other rooms. The slats are too wide and a small cat can slip through. Cats can jump over the gate. I had to tape the gate to keep my cats out. I had to extend the height with more cardboard to stop the cats from jumping. It looks terrible. It works. If you have cats, I don't recommend this gate. I have not found a gate that is tall enough to restrain cats.
👤If you have stairs with no doors to the basement, cats little ones and a dog, this is a must. My dog is a Great Danes and can jump over gates. The puppy and the little ones are kept out of the cat food, water and liter box by this gate. The kittens can get to the basement. The cat door swings both ways. People would walk into it if it weren't for that. I paid a lot of money for this gate. I will also be getting a second one upstairs. The little ones won't try the stairs and the Great Danes won't like our beds when we are at work. The gate was easy to put up. I was able to do it myself.
👤Great idea. We wanted our cats to be able to come into the room if they wanted to, but we wanted a tall gate to keep the rescue husky contained. The small pet door is large enough that the entire husky can easily go through it to the other room. The pet door can only open in one direction and has to be pulled open in the other. There is no lock open position. You can zip tie it open if you want, but it won't open all the way against the gate, so it will stick out. Other users said they were able to remove the door completely. The gate is strong and tension works well. There are four options for securing cups. We only used the two at the top. The gate and extra height are nice, but I am disappointed that the small door can't be used for cats.
Most openings are aCCOMODATED. Between doorways, the Summer Decorative Wood & Metal Safety Gate for Baby can be used. The baby gate can fit openings from 36” to 60” wide. Easy installation. You can easily install the baby gate by using the doorway mount. Adult assembly is required. Self-locking is not allowed. The baby gate has an extra wide swinging door that opens in either direction. It can be operated with one hand for convenience when moving between rooms. The baby gate from Summer is safe and secure, so have peace of mind. There is a baby gate. 👤My review is based on using the product daily for the last 6 weeks. The gate looks great and the styling is great. Our twin boys are moving so I purchased two gates to keep them out of our living room. The wooden door on the first gate was a bit warped. It opened, closed, and functioned as designed. The locking device on the bottom of the gate was not close to lining up if the handle was locked. I swapped this gate for a new one on Amazon. The gate that arrived was warped even worse, as it has a huge curve from top to bottom. The locking mechanism by the handle and at the bottom of the gate is functional. I could live with the fact that the doors were rusty. The gates are a complete night mare after a few weeks of ownership. There is a design flaw. There is a pin on the opposite side of the handle. A bolt pivots inside the metal frame as you open and close the gate. When using the gate, you have to lift the gate 1 inch so that the bottom catch clears the metal frame, the door then drops down once centered over the metal frame, locking the bottom portion in place. You apply sideways pressure to the bolt when lifting from the handle. Over time, the frame digs into the bolt. A collar around the bolt would have fixed the issue. My gates are nearly impossible to open unless you lift from the middle point of the gate. This is pointless because I often have a child in one arm and try to open and close the gate with my free hand. If you always have two hands available to open and close the gate, it's not a factor. The product was nice in concept and style, but the function was poorly designed or the manufacturer wanted to save a few pennies.
👤Over the past few years, I've worked with a lot of baby/pet gates, as well as being a pet foster family. This one has a one-hand-operation latch, it uses pressure pads at the bottom of each end, and there are some extra sections to adjust to different sized openings. The gate gets a lot of details right. The whole unit is a solid structure and visually cohesive, and the expansion sections fit TIGHTLY into one another and to the gate. The gate is quite wide, which makes it very easy to walk through. The fence portion has a dark metal finish and a lighter wooden gate. The gate is being used to keep my dogs from rushing the front door when we have visitors. It's part of our living room, so it's important to have it look nice. I used all but the smallest expansion because the opening is 55" and it's sturdy. If I could have one thing different, I'd like an auto- close option, but it's hard to get on a dual-swing gate, so I'd rather have the dual-swing and no auto- close. The product and price were very good.
Extra time: The Summer Extra Tall Decor Safety Gate is perfect for doorways, hallways, and stairways. The baby gate is 36” tall and fits openings 28” to 38.25” wide. Easy installation. The baby gate can be installed on stairways with the included kit or between hallways or doorways with no drill mount. Hardware mounting requires tools. Adult assembly is required. The baby gate has a simple one-handed walk-thru door that allows parents to move easily from room to room. It's easy to walk through the door. 👤This gate made me happy. Excellent construction material. It works exactly as it should. It looks and feels like an adult, not a college student's last minute solution. This is the kind of place where an approaching-retirement pyramid marketing guru who pours all her effort into maintaining appearances but needs to put a gate between her rooms would live. This lady knows how to stage a house, so if it's good enough for her, it's good enough for me. This goes beyond just aesthetic and smart install. It is very good quality, thick metal, and not heavy but still sturdy, so a strong dog or baby can be imprisoned in it as long as needed or as benevolent conscience will allow. For me, this is about 5 minutes while I pet my dog-hating cats, or up to an hour while said cats eat their wet dins and perform a show for my sad dog to demonstrate how much she can't possibly eat them behind the gate, no. If you pull it out of the box, it seems like the gate is not straight, that is normal. It's built to favor one side for the sake of physics, so that when you put it up in the doorway, it has enough pressure to stay shut. It's fine on the walls. It's great, have moved it around a few times. I was able to install it myself from a wheelchair because I'm crippled. It is a little heavy, and I have some use of my feet, but my point is that most people should be able to install it without too much trouble. I didn't use the instructions, but they came with them.
👤This gate is amazing! My 2 year old couldn't conquer something. He is able to figure out how to open gates and doors quickly. The gate is toddler proof and tall enough that he can't climb over it. To open the gate you have to slide the top piece. My 6 year old can do it with 2 hands. Adults can do it with one hand. It is not difficult. It does the job. He can't push it down like he did the last time. It's pretty easy to install. I think the other reviews were user error. I would buy this again.
👤A great gate. The gate is taller than the other gates and has a nice top rail style. The gate is very sturdy and well constructed. The stone grey finish is beautiful. It is easy to install, but remember to not unclip the zip tie holding the gate door to the side piece until you have measured and put the gate in place. The gate door is held under real tension by this zip tie to allow you to measure, screw tabs to wall or doorway and secure the gate before you cut it. If you accidentally cut the zip tie, you will need to use one of your own zip ties to pull the two sections together and then install the gate. It will take some strength to do this. There is a sticker on the gate but it is worth repeating. The lower gate frame bar is off the floor so you have to step over it every time you walk through it. If any of the mentioned items are in use at your home, be aware that you won't be able to push a wheel chair, walker, baby stroller or grocery wagon through the gate once it's installed. This is the best gate I have ever seen. It's easy to install. The thumb button can be used to open and close the gate. We bought a doorway to keep a large bread puppy out of the foot traffic area so it gets a lot of use. We have no issues with the gate, button release, latch or door in the month we have used it. Great purchase.

👤I bought four different baby gates from Amazon and made a table to compare them, the most expensive being the Regalo brand, but it's not my favorite. The Extra Tall one is better than the standard size. A toddler can open the gate by lifting the handle. If the red latch is engaged, you can't easily open the gate with one hand. If you buy this gate, you should buy the Extra Tall one so your toddler can't open it, but you can easily open it. * The gate doesn't open both ways. How wide do you need the baby gate to be? Most gates are built for a standard door frame, but some come with extensions to fit larger spaces, but you have to order them separately and pay more. * Do you want the gate to be tall or normal? It is good to step over normal height. If you don't want kids to climb over it or you have a large dog, tall is good. * Do you want it to be open both ways? I like this feature a lot. The baby gates have four posts that screw outward until they reach the wall. You can put cups on the wall to make them more secure. If the gate is in a high risk area, you need to put the cups in the top and bottom of the stairs. A toddler can shimmy away from the door frame. If your toddler is your first child, don't underestimate how strong and persistent it is, and if it is a heavy toddler, use a gate on top of the stairs to bring it down.
👤I spent a lot of time researching these and many others before buying this gate. There are reviews stating that the gate has design flaws. They are not accurate. The gate is well designed. It is easy to assemble. It was well made. Closes or locks. It's easy to close, easy to lock and easy to open. There is no extra charge for the extension. The gate has mounting hardware to keep it from sliding. It is possible to fit just about any door frame. Heavy metal should be trouble free. There were no rough edges. Good paint. Quiet operation. None that I have found. I purchased a grand total of 6 of these and plan to purchase two more to keep my herd of Pomeranians from wandering into rooms where they think they belong but really have no business being in. You would think that all of the gates were perfect, but no, all of them were broken or missing parts. My only concern is that my smallest Pom can stick her tiny head through the bars, so my slightly tubby Pom "Cookie" tries to shove her big head through, but so far that has not happened. This isn't a design flaw. The gates are of the highest quality and I wouldn't change them. Highly recommended!
👤We bought this product because we didn't have many options for Extra Tall gate that could fit on our stair landing and we were shocked at how cheap it was, but we decided to keep it and be extra careful after just a week. When we called REGALO to report the manufacturer's defect, the customer service representative told us to just send the product back to Amazon. To sum up... Terrible customer service and a very unsafe product.
Four pet panels are connected and secured together with sturdy hinges for multiple configurations. Use as a pet gate in doorways full hallways or any wider areas, or connect together as a playpen, pet exercise pen or play yard. The gate has a door that allows you to move freely from room to room without having to move the entire unit. The lightweight design of the free-standing pet gate makes it easy to move and store. There are two feet for additional balance. The pet panels are made from a solid wood frame and strong mental wire interior, which makes them great for large dogs or puppies who like to chew. Extra wide and open ditches. 96''W x 32.08'' H x 0.7''D; COLLAPSED DEMS: 24'' W x 32.08'' H x 3''D Extra wide and open ditches. 96''W x 32.08'' H x 0.7''D; COLLAPSED DEMS: 24'' W x 32.08'' H x 3''D
👤The gate broke off within 3 months. The screws can't be fixed. Huge waste of money. The gate is nice. The hardware on the walk through door and hinges is cheap and makes it flimsy. We stopped using the walk through door within 2 weeks because it was on the verge of breaking off. We slide the entire gate to get through. It's disappointing but still nice.
👤The gate is perfect for me. He can't push my 11lb dachshund. The metal pickets make the gate look nicer. I ordered an extra set of feet to make sure the gate was stable. I highly recommend that. The feet can be moved around. The only thing I had to do was fix the latch.
👤My fur baby was kept out of the formal living room and the stairs by this gate. It is wide enough to cover both areas. It is decent quality and sturdy. The opening has a little rickety look but it works. I bought the extra feet to give me more stability after reading other reviews. The gate is assembled. The pre-drilled holes allowed me to screw in the latches. I would recommend this product.
👤Very pleasing. The tiny screws need to be replaced. The gate fell apart. It was very flimsy. The 2 leg stands don't attach to the gate, so they fall off and don't hold it up. They had to be put into the floor. Gate looks nice, but I would have only paid $50 for it.
👤I needed something that covered a larger area, had some options to set up, and was easy to get around for humans. This fit the bill. It's a little wobbly, even with the two feet put on, but they can wiggle loose if the panel is moved a lot. The gate allows me to move in and out of the protected area much easier than with my straight panels and tables that were improvised before this arrived. The locks are sturdy and more than I need for my cat, but I could see a more hyper dog needing them. I don't recommend for a large pet with more weight and height than my cat, as a large active pet may knock these over if not well secured. It's great for my purposes.
👤I bought this after one of my dogs broke out of the door. I ordered this the next day because I read so many sad stories of people losing their dogs. I ordered two more feet after reading reviews. It works great to block the front door when the kids come over. Small dogs can be very quick, but they don't always remember. I feel safer around an open front door. When there is a knock on the door, I can slide it in place. Thank you for giving me peace of mind!
👤We bought a gate to keep our dogs out of a room, and are about to buy a second gate. The package was small and easy to assemble. My toddler is 3 years old and he can operate the latch. It has two feet stands to help it stay upright. If you want to keep the gate straight, you should buy another set of stands. The gate is a nice addition to the house.
It is quick and easy to do. The pressure mount is quick to set up. There is no need to punch holes in the wall with no additional tools required. There is a gap between the gate latch and the frame which is not a defect and it is not bent. Once installed, this gap will be eliminated. The expansion is to fit openings between 26-40 inches wide. This safety gate is suitable for a wide doorway or bathroom door. It's 30 inches tall. It's ideal for use with small pets. Measure your opening prior to purchase to make sure it fits. The function is auto- close. The safety gate has an auto- close function that closes the door behind you and a hold-open feature that keeps the door open. The gate opens with one hand. The gate only swings in one direction because of the danger of swinging over stairs. It's easy and safe. The baby gate is easy to install on the wall, and it has a walk-in door with double lock lever handles, which makes it easy for adults to pass. It is suitable for a playground, a fireplace guardrail, an entrance on a stair landing, or a super gate. There is a wide extension kit, two extension kits, 2 U-bolt, 3 anti-collision grooves, and 4 wall protectors. It's perfect for doorway, hallway and bottom of stair. The gate can be taken out of the opening. There is a wide extension kit, two extension kits, 2 U-bolt, 3 anti-collision grooves, and 4 wall protectors. 👤You can choose between the wall stop or the banister hook. We keep the dogs downstairs when we are at the base of the stairs. The swing gate is easy to open. If you use it for babies, you know it's closed because it swings closed and locks in place. I am very happy with it.
👤This is our fifth baby gate. They corral dogs in different parts of the house. The lock mechanisms that work with dual squeeze buttons have had to be reconstructed because of the difficulty of squeezing both buttons at the same time. The baby gate has ramps on the hinge that allow it to be left open at 90 degrees, but will also automatically shut it as you pass through it. The other gates have bungee cords on them. The cat can slide through the gate on the hinge side. My husband thinks the gate is too short, and I agree. The gate is 30 inches tall. The largest dog has not jumped over the gate. My husband says that it makes it more difficult to move laundry baskets to the laundry room. I like the lock that works with a squeeze mechanism and pull up that is sturdy and easy to break, like our despised gates that needed mending. If I have to replace one of our gates, I will do it with another gate.
👤I bought a couple of these to try out. You can send the other brand back and buy 2 of them. The way it closes makes me love it. It's easy to install. It stays put. They should have made this for wider openings.
👤It was originally used to keep our puppy contained to the kitchen. It was difficult to find a gate that would fit in narrow spaces, but this one does. The puppy was moved to the bottom of the staircase to make it easier to add the extenders. It does not require you to drill holes in the walls. It is strong and sturdy for being a tension gate. Our puppy is a 40lb shepherd mix who loves to run fast but hasn't developed her break skills yet. She has not knocked it over despite body slamming it many times. It's not good. She is fine, the gate is still standing, and we are working on controlling our indoor speeds.
👤This was difficult to install because I am an engineer. The instructions are not relevant. It's not strong. It doesn't fit in my doorway. Adding 3 spacers isn't enough and adding 4 isn't right. The screws are hard to maneuver and don't fully flush, which means they lose 1-2 inches of adjustability between adding and removing the spacers.
👤I am not happy with this baby gate. We got this model because we have a steel newel post on one side of the stairs and a drywall on the other so it seemed like it would be the right type of install. I am disappointed that things could have been made to make it easier to install. We could not use one of the spacers on our staircase. You have to thread the pieces all the way out. Our child would lean against the gate and it would pop off, because the threaded pieces were set in a drilled hole. Talk about being dangerous. It's important that there's actually friction because we had one side against a metal post. The discs that hit the wall are made of plastic. It's fine for wood or drywall where they can bite into it but on steel they can't add to the instability. There are little pegs that fit into the holes on the gate. The pegs are smaller than the holes so they don't hold themselves in place while you are trying to install it. If you want to get it to install right, you have to be pretty ginger with adjustments or have a second person hold it in place. They have small channels to place at the joints of the spacers. These come in galvanized steel. You pay money for a gate that is powder coated and then get galvanized steel channels? We painted ours. The channels are wider than the gate material, so you have to glue them in place, which is not mentioned in instructions or any glue or other glue. It's great for the right width staircase, but in our situation it has been extremely frustrating and I will have to make a couple of custom adjustments to make it work.

👤It's great if your dog isn't possessed by satan or is lazy, but still wants to be free. My dog has found every loophole that is available, and he is happy about it. It took her a while to find all of the loopholes. Please reconsider if you think your pet would try any of the following. The handle is held in place by a red stopper. My dog looked at me as if he said "lol, that's cute." The door has a knob that needs to be pulled out before it opens. A 55lb dog will squeeze her body through that little hole and make you question every single bit of math you've learned throughout your life and debunk the saying that you can't fit ten gallons of water in a five gallon bucket. If you want your dog to eat electrical tape, you need to hold it shut with 5 industrial zip ties and make sure it doesn't get wet. 3. A dog can escape if the bottom of the gate is pushed out. If not applied at an exact 62 angle, the vice grip has a success rate of just over 70%. 4. You might think that using a cable wire bike lock with a four digit combo lock would solve the problem. You would be correct. For 20 minutes. 5. You must be thinking that an animal that spends her time eating cat food and chasing her tail wouldn't be able to figure out the pressure points and plastic caps that hold it in place. You would be wrong. Your dog will eat three comforters, a book, multiple towels, a box of Kleenex, paint rollers, two sets of blinds, three dog beds, a few shoes, and a hospital equipment manual for your new job. If your dog does any of the above, please save your money and pay for the exorcism up front.
👤The gate is easy to open. Only goes one way because of a stop on the bottom. The cat door is too big and I have to modify it with a pipe and zip-ties. The cat-door is also zip-tied. It keeps my dogs out of cat food.
👤I love this gate for most of the time. We bought it to keep the dogs out of the laundry room, but to allow the cats in to get their food and litter box. Cocoa, our dog, is able to fit through the cat door opening and often gets in and eats all the cat's food, even though she is big. I used zip ties to hold it in place. I would give it a 5 star rating if it was smaller. The gate works perfectly.
👤My two cats have always been free in the house, until recently when they woke me up in the morning. They would scratch at the door and meow to be let in if the bedroom door was closed. TheCarlson 41-Inch Extra Tall Pet Gate is the tallest pet gate I could find. I was worried my cats would jump over it, but they are not. I am very happy with the results. The width of your doorway is an aspect to consider. The extension was too wide for my hallway. The extension kit was purchased separately. I'm glad they sell multiple sizes to accommodate different doorways. I don't mind the extra cost because I am happy to be sleeping again. There are baseboards in my hallway that are interfering with the bottom pressure mounts. I put a furniture pad between the mount and the baseboard. I used baby gate wall guard pads to protect the wall. No issues, works great! My hallway is 35 inches wide and a little narrower on the bottom because of the baseboards. The opening of the original gate is 29-34 inches. The gate and extension fit a 35-40 inch opening. The opening in my hallway is reduced by 1-2 inches because of the baseboards. The original gate was not wide enough to cover the area, and the 6 inch extension was too wide. I bought the extension piece because of that. The extension was added.
The safety gate can be adjusted to fit doorways and openings between 29 and 38 inches wide. The safety gate lets you know when the gates need to be tightened. It is time to adjust if the indicator turns red. Adults can easily open using one hand, while the two-action handle is hard for little fingers to open. This pressure-mounted gate is easy to install and set up in doorways and other areas. Wall cups are needed to keep the gate in place. Automatic closing door: A magnetic lock ensures the door swings closed without a parent trying to open it. Refer to the PDF attached for the technical specification. 👤This baby gate is very good. There are no complaints. Here are some things we love about it. It was easy to install. My husband installed two. 2. You don't need to drill any holes in the door frame to install it. 3. It can swing in either direction. 4. It is strong. We are not worried about it coming loose because our son is standing at it. 5. It does not close automatically. When our baby is asleep, we can leave it open and come and go. 6. After the first time or two, it's not hard to open. 7. The top of it will be green if it is latched correctly. It is red if it is unlatched. I don't think you will be disappointed with this purchase. I paid full price for this review. I try to leave helpful reviews as well, because I'm a mom who reads all the reviews. It's a good thing.
👤I can't. Say. Enough. About. This. A gate. I can't. I have three children, a 10 month old, a 16 month old and a 4 year old. I have two dogs, a pitbull and a chihuahua. I will never buy a different gate after purchasing two of these. Ever. I will not. If you follow the directions, you will be able to install these. Measure the opening, place the appropriate number of extensions, and tighten the bolts. You can remove the zip tie once the red indicator is green. Do it! I bought to pair with these gates and it is a wonderful combination. The gates are rock solid and can handle anything you throw at them. I have owned a lot of gates and this one is the only one that compares to the others.
👤The gate has been in the same spot since the beginning of the year. I've put up and down furniture multiple times when I need to move it between floors. Hundreds of loads of laundry were used from my boys and their friends. Not once has it fallen down. If my cats don't fit through the open space I rigged by removing the extra bar, the only thing that doesn't work anymore is. He's gotten too fat. I recommend this gate because it was searched forever for a swinging gate. I didn't want to use headwear to mount into my wall because of the damage I'd seen. Pressure mounted was the way to go. I thought I'd try it because it had good reviews. The directions were easy to follow, but you need to read them. The gate has two different extensions for flexibility of use in different areas. I have a model of mine at the top of the stairs that is not hardware mounted. The ability to adjust the pressure points assures a secure fit. I was able to mount despite the round trim on the bottom. I have one hand and it's easy to use the latch. The walk through area is wide enough for a person to walk through without doing yoga. I've taught my 5 year old how to do the latch. The stop locks at the bottom are useful for only one way opening. I found a way to get the cats up and down from the lower level by leaving out the pole of the extension. See the photo. I'm not sure if it would affect the gate function, but I'm using it to keep dogs out of the lower level. I pushed on it to see if it would move. It's tight and nice in there. I would recommend this gate. I will keep you updated if I find any issues. I will do my best to answer your question. It's a good thing.
The Lemon tree safety gate is 30 inches high and 30 inches wide. The walk-through opening has a safety dual locking handle that is easy to open by grown-ups but difficult to open by children. The metal is easy to install and very sturdy. It has a specific type of hinge that closes the gate automatically when you let go. The gate will close if it's open less than 90. It will stay open past 90. It's easy to install and protect your wall, no need to punch holes in the wall. Take down is the same as before. 👤This gate does a good job. It is easy to install and use. You can't take the automatic closing for granted. Not every single time it does lock back into place. You have to make sure. I'm trying to get the tightness right so that the self-closing feature works better.
👤A gate that fits my hallway is finally here. I adopted 2 pups who loved to eat out of the cat box whenever I left them unattended. They can't get past now. My cat took a few days to get used to jumping over. It took me longer to assemble by myself as the gate doesn't lock together, but it can be done. It is easy to open and close. I bought a pack of WallNanny to give me more grip. I will have extra wall protectors if I need them. When you test push or pull, there's no wiggle after the gate has beenightened. It helps keep my 4 years old out as well.
👤It was bought to watch an English bulldog. The directions were easy to follow and the gate was assembled in 15 minutes. I had to use extensions because my opening is 47 inches. It was a perfect fit. I didn't want holes in my trim, so I was surprised it was sturdy. It looks very nice. Will purchase this again. It's worth the money.
👤I will update my review if there is a change. It was easy to install. I had to figure out which way to turn the knob to loosen or tighten it. I might put arrows on them. It feels sturdy and I hope my 2 year old doesn't figure it out.
👤The large gap at the top was closed after carefully following instructions. Unfortunately, no. The box had a wide gap. I've only been able to close a small portion of the original width. The gate does notlatch at the top, only at the bottom. The need for a gate in some situations is due to my dog being a sweetheart but not completely trustworthy. She crashed through it once.
👤It worked well in our opening. Measure your gap and use the parts that are in the spots. It seems to be strong enough. The auto close gate is convenient and it opens both ways.
👤This thing exceeded my expectations. I don't think you could get a better gate for less. The automatic close will catch the gate if it is properly installed. The product is described.
👤Since we leave the dog in the kitchen at night, it was great. If you forget, closes on is yours.
The gate and wall should not be more than 2.5 inches apart. Make sure you adjust the gate to make it safe. Extra wide. It can be expanded to stairways and openings between 22-38 inches wide. It's 18 inches tall. The pressure mount is quick to set up. It is gentle on walls. The small pet door. The small pet door is Patented. Small pets should pass through, while everyone else stays out. The locking feature is included. It is adjusted. The quick fit patented system is perfect for doorways, hallways and stairs. The gate can be taken out of the opening. No assembly is required. The all steel design is convenient and durable. The safety-lock feature and non-toxic finishes are included.
👤Our new puppy decided she could walk right through the replacement gate we bought, so we bought this as a replacement. It arrived on time and was the sweetest thing I've ever seen. She has an optional walk through. We don't have to pick her up every time we want her in the room. I just ordered a second one because we love it so much, and it's made of the same metal as our other larger gates. We've spent hundreds of dollars on baby gates over the years and the price is a big plus. The smaller width between the bars is perfect for our yorkie as she can't fit her head and body through it. I provided before and after pictures to show how quickly the gate solved our problem. Our little guy is not very fond of it. It's a good thing! It's a great recommendation for anyone with a small toy puppy who needs barriers.
👤This is amazing. I don't have to worry about falling because our 2 mini Aussies don't have access to cat food. I'm short so I don't like stepping over gates for fear of falling. My dogs can go through the cat gate, I gave them treats on the other side to see if they could fit through. The gate is low enough for Zoey and Casanova to jump over it. We keep the dogs out of the cat room/office by closing the door at night and opening it in the morning. One of our Aussies can clear the gate by jumping over it, but I am good with that. The gate arrived and I had to read the instructions for a while. It's very easy to install and uninstall. It feels very solid. I recommend this for anyone with a dog that won't jump the gate. The cat door has a height of 18 inches and a distance between the bars of 2 inches.
👤I was looking for something that I could step over, but a gate to keep my dogs from climbing the stairs. I have 3 dogs and one of them has 3 legs so I didn't want her to get hurt climbing the stairs. She's 888-609- 888-609- 888-609-4s is 888-609-4s in the picture It's a good thing.
👤I like that it has side bumpers, but with the rounded edges and bar through the middle, my puppy was able to climb over it quickly. It would be perfect if it was a bit taller. I'm stuck with them because return shipping costs are not worth sending back.
👤I have used mounted pet gates in my home before, but they were removed once my dogs were trained to stay away from forbidden areas. I thought this walk over low gate might be a good choice if I needed to set up a temporary barrier. The sides that will be touching the wall are black, but the top is taller than the floor, so the top didn't touch the wall at all. I tried it in a different area with no baseboards, and all 4 nubs were not touching, they were pretty hard and would be better with more flexible rubber that could conform with ease. The pressure device is the biggest problem I have. The holes in the rod that spreads the gate are about 1/2 inch apart. You don't get a good fit when you are between sizes because the pin to lock the gate in place has to go into one of the holes. I could not get a tight pressure fit because the holes were not positioned right. It might be possible to force the gate to a tight setting if the black rubber nubs on the ends were more rubbery. Even with 2 people pulling the gate open as hard as possible, it was impossible to get a proper fit.
Simple and swift. The dog gate is made of wood and has a pet fence, room divider, and pet pen all in one. The Pet Gate has Sturdy Non-Slip Rubber Feet. The Pet Dog Fence can be folded out into a wide Z-shape to be used in any place in the house. It's easy to set up and store. It is easy to set up and store the dog gate. No assemble is required. The Pet Gate is assembled already. The open doughnuts are 60” wide x 0.75” deep and have a space between them. Up to 54. The open doughnuts are 60” wide x 0.75” deep and have a space between them. 👤We were not able to get this gate fast enough. We love this gate and puppy proof our house. It doesn't require a wall mount to be secure. It is sturdy and steady. You can place this where you want and with a simple bend in the panels, without the need for installation. We only have to bend one panel when we want to go down the hall. There is no need for a gate door to be opened. White doesn't match our decor so we chose the wood stain color. We wish we had ordered it a long time ago.
👤I bought a gate. It's perfect for my needs. I just adopted a blind dog. Three weeks ago. This fits all my requirements, it's easy to move where needed, it's light weight, and it folds neatly even one handed. Max was blind from birth so he knows how to be cautious. He doesn't try to push forward or get around when he bumps into furniture. He stays behind it when I set it up. I put a stool at one end and the cat goes to it. It is step over the barrier but I find that swinging an end panel is better for me as I am a senior lady. Smooth working hinges allow this to work. The dark color makes it hard to see in a dark area. I am learning to be more cautious. Highly recommended product!
👤The gate is perfect. We had a baby gate. We had to push the bar down and stand it up. We weren't fans. The baby gate in our new house didn't fit and I was on the hunt for a new one. I found the gate and am very happy about it. When the dogs are out, we fold the gate up to cover the entire entry way. There is no fuss with the baby gate. Just open and go. It is awesome!
👤We needed a fence to go across a wide dining room opening in order to keep our dog off of the rug, so we ordered a second wooden fence to match the one we ordered several months ago. My husband put two sliding latches between the two fences, one at the top of the fence and one at the bottom. We can unlatch the fence and walk through it as if it's a gate if he puts the latches on it. My husband attached the fence on each end to the walls of the dining room after I ordered a set of Welland support feet. Our dog tried to break through but gave up. Everyone comments on how nice it looks.
👤I bought a few to keep my dog out of the stairs and the other to keep her out of the open air after her back surgery. I had to use a small bungee cord to hold the two together so that she wouldn't be able to break through when two sets are being used as a make-shift pen. If you have a bigger dog or one who likes to jump, these may not work as well as they do for us.
