POLICE K9 RESCUE

POLICE K9 RESCUE IS AN ORGANIZATION MADE UP OF POLICE K9 HANDLERS AND CIVILIAN VOLUNTEERS. THE PURPOSE OF THIS ORGANIZATION IS TO LOCATE FOREVER HOMES FOR RETIRED POLICE SERVICE DOGS. WE ALSO ASSIST IN PLACING K9S IN WORKING ENVIRONMENTS IN THE EVENT THAT THE HANDLER OR AGENCY NO LONGER HAS NEED OF A POLICE SERVICE DOG
ONE OF OUR SUCCESS STORIES. BABE CAME TO US THROUGH ARTHUR MARTIN OF CALIFORNIA WHO IS NOW A FOUNDING FATHER OF THIS ORGANIZATION. HE WAS FORCED TO MEDICALLY RETIRE FROM HIS DEPARTMENT. HIS NARCOTIC DOG,BABE, WAS TOO YOUNG AND TOO GOOD OF A DOG TO LANQUISH IN THE BACKYARD SO HE OFFERED HER TO MY DEPARTMENT. BABE WAS ASSIGNED TO A HIGHWAY DRUG INTERDICTION OFFICER. IN ONLY 1 1/2YEARS,SHE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SEIZURE OF ALMOST 1MILLION DOLLARS IN DRUG MONEY AND HUNDREDS OF POUNDS OF SMUGGLED ILLEGAL NARCOTICS. SHE IS ALSO NOW CERTIFIED IN CADAVER RECOVERY AS WELL AS NARCOTIC DETECTION. BABE IS STILL SERVING OUR DEPARTMENT
CARO WITH HIS NEW HANDLER IN JEFFERSON COUNTY TEXAS. CARO WAS WORKING IN NEW JERSEY AS A PATROL DOG WHEN HIS HANDLER WAS PROMOTED TO A POSITION INSIDE. HIS HANDLER WANTED HIM TO CONTINUE WORKING AND CONTACTED POLICE K9 RESCUE.CARO WAS PLACED WITH A HANDLER AT THE JEFFERSON COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPT WHOSE DOG HAS RECENTLY PASSED AWAY. CARO HAD NARCOTIC DETECTION ADDED BY US AND IS CURRENTLY WORKING IN THIS CAPACITY. CARO WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE THE DEPUTY'S PATROL UNIT WHEN HE ARRIVED AT THE AIRPORT,THAT HE DRAGGED THE OFFICER TO IT AND BEGAN JUMPING AT THE DOOR.
THIS IS A PHOTO OF OVER 1200POUNDS OF COCAINE THAT OUR AGENCY SIEZED IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER AGENCIES. THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF WHY POLICE SERVICE DOGS ARE INVALUABLE TO LAW ENFORCEMENT
