We have been producing 1 or 2 high quality litters per year since 1980.
We don't just breed working dogs, we work them! Sue has been a K9 handler since 1981. She spent the past 18 years as the K9 trainer for the Delaware Department of Correction. She has recently moved into the private sector as an explosive detector dog handler. She is a Nationally certified police K9 trainer and a regionally certified judge. Mary has been a K9 handler for the Montgomery County Police Department since 1991 and the Departments K9 trainer since 1998. She is a Nationally certified trainer and a regionally certified judge.
We breed strictly 100% working lines from East & West Germany as well as a few select Czech lines.
We breed for the all around working dog. Striving to produce an extremely stable dog, one that can do serious protection work yet still be very social. Our dogs are bred for good bone, large, blocky heads, exceptional nerves, compact athletic bodies and enough drive to do any type of work. All of our breeding stock are raised from puppies. We know exactly what their strengths and weaknesses are and that they were not washed out of someone else's kennel for reasons unknown.
Most people who breed or purchase German line dogs are under the assumption that just because a dog has a schutzhund title at the end of it's name, is is a good working dog. Unfortunately, this is not true. German show dogs are BIG business, and they must be schutzhund titled to compete at high level shows. Because of this, many very weak dogs are nursed through titles they don't deserve. Their nerves may be weak, drives are low and courage is more than questionable, but politics make it possible for them to have a schH3 after their name.
WE DO NOT BREED ANY SHOW LINES.
We breed working lines with correct confirmation. No roached backs, no excessive angulation, just sound, strong working minds and bodies. For those of you familiar with bloodlines, ours include; Robby & Pascha Glockeneck, Lord Gleisdreieck, Harro Lechrainstadt, Ingo Rudigen, Rene Anrebri, Sagus Busecker Schloss, Nessel Antverpa, Alk Osterburg Quell, Pohranicini Straze kennels, Yoschy Dollenwiesse, Bodo Tiekerhook, and many other great working dog producers. We also specialize in dark, rich pigment, solid black, black sables and dark black and reds. We have excellent hip and health results, contracts and guarantees are in WRITING. We have an impeccable reputation, 24 years of experience working and breeding and plenty of references. There are lots of unscrupulous dog breeders out there, we are not one of them.
