If you are looking for a dog who has temperament and the desire to work then you should consider the Dutch Shepherd. When raised in a family situation they bond strongly and are an efficient home protector. We have acquired our dogs from some of the best working lines in Holland. We spent many months evaluating the prospective parents of our puppies. Our first litter we held back all the puppies to test and scrutinize the offspring. We were ecstatic with the puppies. They all showed the true working temperament of this breed. Wasabi, the darker brindle female, not only herds our cows and goats but is also an excellent baby-sitter for the younger children and other puppies. At the young age of 8 months she is already showing signs of being a natural protector plus a dog who is capable of doing whatever is required of her.
